We are at a great crossroads, a point in life when important decisions are being made world-wide. What is being chosen? What is the foundation for making individual decisions? What is the basis for decisions made by leaders? Alas, the Lord has prophesied of “a great division.” (2 Nephi 30:10)  I believe we are there. We are fast approaching the ultimate consequences of a great division among humanity.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matt. 24:24)

Who are “They” who WILL deceive? 

• “They” are the “elite,” who seek for power, gain, and control over the masses with pride in their hearts thinking they know better than everyone else.
• “They” are religious leaders who point to themselves, and do not point their congregations to Christ first, leaders who no longer refer to God’s word for their source of inspiration — and teach instead the “philosophies… of men.” (Colossians 2:8)
• “They” are educational institutions providing instruction contrary to the scriptures. Organic evolution is one of their tools that has led countless millions down the road to atheism.  Science is their god.
• “They” are political leaders who have forgotten that the liberty America has enjoyed is based on Biblical ethics.
• “They” are technocrats, who believe technology will save the world.
• “They” are those who believe there is no God, and no devil, but they are willing to follow the anti-Christ when he comes, and he is coming soon, as part of this “crossroads.”

“They Shall Deceive The Very Elect,” But The Elect Need Not Be Deceived:

• Those who are true followers of Christ, “chosen, of God, and precious.” (1 Peter 2:1-9)
  
• “And whoso treasureth up my words, shall not be deceived. (JS Matthew 24:30)  Notice, this translation uses the word “shall,” which is a sure thing in the Lord’s arithmetic.
• Christ is the “Word” (John 1:1), and His words only are the “Way,” “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Farther, but by me.” (John 14:6)  The early Christians called the Church, “The Way.”

America – The Promised Land, And Utah “The Crossroads of The West.”

America is the “Promised Land” prophesied by God; a land of liberty with an inspired Declaration of Independence and Constitution, which gives us the marvelous freedoms we have enjoyed thus far. This nation’s foundation was raised up with the Bible, being the most important book for its foundation.  That book teaches us who gave us our liberties. This Christian nation was established by God for the best good of all mankind.  How blessed we are to live in “the land of the free and the home of the brave,” as we sing in our national anthem.

It is also the “Promised Land” where the fullness of the gospel has been restored, which the prophets foretold, and of which, Isaiah prophesied, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it.” (Isaiah 2:2)  It is interesting that “Utah” is a Ute Indian word meaning “top of the mountains” — indeed, “The Crossroads of the West.”

Evil Designs Unfold

Unfortunately, the original foundation of this country, the promised land, is crumbling because of distorted truths.

Satan knows it is his last hour to use the “elite” to deceive the “elect,” as we see their evil designs unfolding with COVID-19, and many other deceitful tactics.  The war in heaven is ramping up in a major way as prophesied by the Apostle John.

History shows us that Darwin gave us the theory of organic evolution.  In Chapter 6 of my book www.ItsAboutTimeBook.com , using the best experts in the world and with the scientific method, I prove the theory of organic evolution false.  The implications of the falsification of his theory are enormous, as the Darwinian theory permeates the world’s thinking and has led to a massive amount of atheism.

Based on Darwin’s work, John Wesley Powell and colleagues gave us social evolution, which brought about the doctrine of “manifest destiny,” and which caused the native American Indians to be treated as savages and their way of life destroyed.

Then, as history marches on based on Powell’s ideas, Marx and Engels gave the world “political evolution” – communism and socialism.

And now we are at that crossroads where the perpetrators of these three devilish doctrines are doing everything they can to destroy our God-given liberties. With Satin’s tactics of fear, anxiety, disease, world-wide-distress, we see a world spiraling down in immorality and turning from God.  Many millennials and atheists adhere to only science.  In my book, Its About Time, I show a grand harmony between true science and true religion.

“True” science and “true” religion cannot conflict and must harmonize, if they are true.  In these last days, God has given us profound evidence — scientific data, if you will — validating His work and His word.  The honest in heart can now know the true and “living” God.

The Promise of Victory

At this crossroads, it is paramount that we trust in God.   He knows the end from the beginning, and his perfect plan of happiness in all of our imperfections — motivated by His infinite love and allowing us our choices —  will bring about the ultimate victory.  He has promised a “restitution of all things.” (Acts 3:18-20),  that “our forefathers have awaited with anxious expectation to have revealed in the last times.” (D&C 121:27-28)

We have every reason to be filled with hope, joy, and faith as we anticipate the Lord’s coming, when “nothing shall be withheld,” and “that in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” (Eph 1:10).

Now, we are privileged to live in the time when God has given us infallible evidence of His love and goodness for those who have eyes to see, and hearts to feel of His infinite goodness in His infinite atonement.

Both Joseph in Egypt and the Prophet Nephi prophesied that there would come a day when many would disbelieve the Bible and the Lord would give us the Book of Mormon to give full validation to that book which has influenced more people on this planet for good than any other.  As a consequence, we have also been counseled by wise men who have understood what was to come and issued warnings for this day.

When Jesus, as a glorified resurrected being, visit the ancient Americans, the Father told Jesus to tell them, so they could tell us, of this “crossroads,” “when Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts...” and then He lists their sins.  Then he tells of a great gathering from the four corners of the earth of the elect of God, “But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.”

HOW BLESSED WE ARE TO BE AT THIS CROSSROADS and have the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the discerning power of personal revelation in guiding us to make good decisions.  At this crossroads, may we chose Christ — treasuring up His WORD — and not the devil and his insidious, deceitful, Babylonian ways, I pray?  Satan’s worldly ways are all around us.  Pray always (D&C 10:5) that you will not be deceived by him and ever look to the LIGHT of CHRIST.  He will lead you home to the Father and Eternal Life.
