The following is a fascinating exchange between an Elder and a Rabbi regarding the Torah, the Talmud and the Book of Mormon. Torah is “The Law of the Lord.” the Five Books of Moses. The Talmud includes”Oral Traditions” and interpretations of the Torah as passed down through the centuries and is like scripture to the Jews. “Love” is a central value in Jewish theology and ethics. At the center of “Love” is “Peace and Joy”. The Elder and the Rabbi discover an amazing relationship between these two theologies through the understanding of joy.
The Law of Love
I taught institute for eleven years for the Moroni Stake for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During that time I was researching the “Law of Love.” I found this fascinating article in BYU Studies: https://byustudies.byu.edu/content/elder-among-rabbis. I made contact with Dennis Rasmussen, Professor of Philosophy at Brigham Young University, and he gave me permission to share this article with my institute class. Here, I only share a summary of his fascinating experience and insights.
Is it not “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34) Jesus’ ministry is a perfect example before us – continually reaching out to the spiritual and physical needs with his 100% focused-loving service to help the world know Him and Our Father Heaven.
Nephi, the first author in the Book of Mormon, began the record by introducing himself, then submitting his credentials in order to help validate the authenticity of his account. (Nephi 1: 2 – “Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians.”)
The scientific concept of the “Fifth Dimension” was advanced by Swedish physicist Oskar Klein. Einstein’s theory of relativity gives us four dimensions – longitude, latitude, altitude, and time. Klein’s theory proposed a fifth dimension, unseen by humans where the forces of gravity and electromagnetism unite to create a simple but graceful theory of the fundamental forces in nature.
There are serious and subtle toxins that can affect both body and spirit. These subtle toxins are generally not addressed in the main stream media. However, they are just as dangerous as those that are commonly discussed in magazines and news reports. The New World Order folks would have you believe the most toxic problem is your carbon footprint, and they are contemplating imposing a carbon tax.
The King James Version of the Bible (KJB), translated mostly by William Tyndale, has had more influence on the world spiritually than any other book since its publication in 1611 — over 400 years ago. In addition, there are more copies of it published than any other book by a factor of ten; more than a billion have been published and the publishing rate increases. 
Fast food is Killing Americans and should probably carry a warning from the surgeon general. The fast food American diet is a disaster and the epidemic diseases are increasing. These foods are so common today but destructive of our health. We are digging our graves with our teeth with what we eat.
