Saving Our Nation Through Prayer

Prayer, as our communication opportunity with God, includes requests for heavenly intervention, as we face life’s challenges.  Based on God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, we have hope in the preservation of this county — our nation under God. It reads: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their [sinful] ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The future of our nation is in the hands of righteous, prayerful citizens, as well as millions across the globe, who have great respect for “The Land of the Free.”  God will hear their prayers.  Contrary to the belief of most politicians, they are not the ultimate solution to the world’s problems.  Electing righteous leaders is key, but God ultimately is in control.

On the 26th of September (2020) Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic Jew and author of  The Harbinger, conducted a prophetic day of national and international prayer at the Washington D.C. Mall, as the last chance to save this nation based upon God’s promise.  There was a great outpouring of God’s Spirit as thousands attended the event in person and millions joined in prayer by way of live streaming.  On that day, I focused my faith and prayers for this nation as I listened live.

There Should Be Time No Longer

It’s About Time to learn the “Truth” about TIME!  I have been called, “Mr. Time.” I am not; but, I know Who is!  Also, being 84 years old this month (25 September 2020), and remembering the wonderful colleagues I have been privileged to work with over the years, I felt impressed to write some interesting insights regarding TIME from both a scientific and religious point of view.  I use the above Biblical phrase to catch our attention to the enormous increase in timekeeping accuracy we have enjoyed over the years in contrast to this scripture, and the benefits have been enormous; GPS is a classic example.  The title may appear contradictory, but you will see at the end, it is not.

Timekeeping accuracy has increased a billion fold in my lifetime.  It has been so exciting to work with and know many of the players in this rapidly advancing field over my sixty years doing time and frequency metrology (the science of measurement).  Many of them are Nobel laureates and their contributions have been enormous.  Many have passed on.

Here I will share some fascinating scientific aspects of time development, and then conclude with what is really most important — the religious truths about TIME.  We have before us the 2020 autumnal equinox (22 September 1331 UTC (7:30 a.m. MDT)), when the spin axis of the earth is exactly at 90 degrees to the line from the center of the earth to the sun.  And the time for that changes every year because the time for an earth  orbit around the sun is out of sync with the spin rate of once per day of the earth with respect to the sun.  Everyone knows the number of days in a year is not a whole number bringing about the leap year phenomena.  Interestingly and in contrast, If you were on the unique planet Mercury, you would see that the Mercury day and year are harmonically synchronized.

Starting With Solar Time

As science came of age following the renaissance, we started out with solar time, where the length of the second was 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, and 24 hours in a day — making the length of the second 1/86400 of an average mean solar day (60 x 60 x 24 = 86400 seconds in a day).  Then astronomers noticed random variations in solar time.  Because of these variations, in 1956, the ephemeris second became the next definition as decided by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM): the second was defined as the, “fraction 1/31,556,925.9747 of the tropical year for 1900 January 0 at 12 hours ephemeris time.”  A tropical year is the time between one vernal equinox and the next (365.24219 ephemeris days in the year 2000).  Earth time (solar-time) has slowed down about 60 seconds since the year 1900.  Astronomical time accuracy is like +/- 0.0002 of a second of error in a day.  This seems small, but for a system like GPS, this error is enormous where GPS needs about a billionth of a second level of accuracy using atomic clocks to work as it does.

Atomic Clocks

In the 1940s Nobel Laureate, I. I. Rabi, thought of atomic clocks.  I had breakfast with him in 1983 in Philadelphia, PA, when he received the first Frequency Control Symposium Rabi Award named after him.  I felt greatly honored a year later to be the second recipient of the Rabi Award.  Based on Rabi’s concepts the first atomic clock was invented in 1948-49 by Harold Lyons, et. al. at NBS in Washington, D.C., based on an ammonia-molecule microwave resonance, but its accuracy was not significantly better than astronomical time.

However, because of its excellent short-term frequency stability, the first atomic clock I worked on in 1960 was an ammonia maser (microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation).  Shimoda, Wang, and Townes wrote a pioneering paper on ammonia masers.  I got to know all three of these gentlemen and great scientists from Japan, China, and the USA, respectively.  Charles Townes went on to invent the LASER (Light Amplification of Stimulated Emission of Radiation).

Can you imagine how many billion laser scanners there are now in the world — every grocery store checkout counter, etc.?  And now also, lasers are fundamental building blocks for the most accurate clocks in the world.  The uses of lasers are enormous, laser ranging, and it goes on and on.  It is fun to think that lasers were given birth in time and frequency metrology.

Essen and Perry at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in Teddington, England, began atomic-clock timekeeping in June 1955 using a resonance in the cesium-133 atom (not radioactive).  The accuracies increased and in 1967 on Friday the 13th of October that year the second was again re-defined and the definition remains with us to this day:

“the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 atom” (at a temperature of 0 K)”.

One may ask where that number came from — tying the astronomical measurement of time to that of an atom?

The Role of Standards Laboratories

The National Bureau of Standards (NBS), where I worked, had a standard-time transmission radio station (WWV) in Beltsville, Maryland.  That signal was received at the United States Naval Observatory (USN0) and at NPL in the UK.  Following several years of work, Essen and William Markowitz from the United States Naval Observatory (USNO) determined the relationship between the hyperfine transition frequency of the cesium atom and the ephemeris second.  Using a common-view measurement method based on the received signals from radio station WWV commonly received at NPL and USNO, and gave us 9,192,631,770 Hz (cycles per second) for the cesium frequency with respect to the ephemeris second.

Markowitz, an astronomer in charge of time at the USNO, was an interesting guy.  He told me one time that physicists don’t understand time.  He is right, but neither do astronomers.

The famous Greenwich (zero) meridian-line goes through the Royal Greenwich Observatory.  Later, for timekeeping purposes, RGO moved down to Herstmonceux Castle in southern England.  Humphrey Smith, who was the director of time services there, tells a little bit about that in this audio link.  This is the meridian line used by all navigation systems and for mapping.

Before atomic clocks, quartz-crystal oscillator-clocks were our timekeepers, and every laboratory and observatory had some of these in a very good environment to provide the best frequency stability and hence timekeeping ability.  James A. Barnes as part of his Ph.D thesis had developed the NBS-A time-scale algorithm to calibrate three quartz-crystal clocks using Roger Beehler’s (NBS) primary cesium-beam standard across the hall at the NBS-Boulder, CO, laboratories.  Then Jim and Lowell Fey carried one of those quartz clocks to WWV in 1965 to transfer the time from Beltsville to Boulder to set the time for the NBS-A time-scale algorithm, and to improve the timekeeping for the USA.

Best Atomic Clocks

I was working on my master’s thesis at the same time as Jim.  That fall we invited the makers of the best atomic-clocks to do a comparison at our lab in Boulder.  The two-sample variance, which was named the Allan variance and which came out of my thesis, became the analysis tool to compare all these new and exciting atomic-clock timekeeping devices.

I had used this tool to characterize some unusual time variations in two of the NBS radio stations: WWVL and WWVB, and I prepared a paper on same, which was to be given in Ankara, Turkey.  So in August 1967, I arranged to visit the primary timekeeping centers on my way to Ankara.

James Steele was my kind host at NPL and Humphrey Smith at RGO (Herstmonceux Castle).  I was greatly impressed with their work.  My next visit was with Bernard Guinot, at the Paris Observatory (OP).  We became good friends over the years and had many great discussions regarding time-scale algorithms, clocks, astronomy, and the like.  He was then head of the BIH (Bureau of the hour) and responsible for generating time for the world.

Jim Barnes became Section Chief and turned over the timekeeping responsible to me.  I then had an ensemble of eight commercial atomic clocks, and I wrote the AT-1 algorithm in 1968, to combine their readings in an optimized way using the Allan variance to characterize their varying timekeeping performances.

Dr. Guinot sent Michael Granveaud to Boulder to work with me, and then Michael returned and wrote ALGOS, which still keeps time for the world.  AT-1 is a better algorithm, but ALGOS is more politically correct working with all the nations who contribute across the globe.  With significant improvements by my colleagues, AT-1 is still keeping official time for the USA today.

Guinot was particularly intrigued by the paper that Helmut Hellwig, Dave Glaze, and I gave in Cagliari, Italy, on “An Accuracy Algorithm for an Atomic Time Scale.”   This paper shows how to combine accuracy and stability nicely.  It is highly relevant today with the amazing accuracies and stabilities of optical clocks.  In simple terms, accuracy can be thought of as agreement with some standard, and stability means minimal changes over time.

How Accurate can Clocks Be?

One of my colleagues and a dear friend, Dr. Elizabeth Donley (now Chief of the NIST Time and Frequency Division in Boulder, CO), has written an equation, which shows the potential accuracy and stability of atomic clocks in terms of the square-root of the Allan variance.  From it, she shows that the potential accuracy can improve with the frequency of the resonance, with the signal-to-noise, which improves as the square-root of the averaging time used to determine the frequency, and with the line-width of the atomic resonance.  From this equation, one can see why optical clocks now being researched are reaching eighteen-digits of potential accuracy and stability.  Optical atomic clock frequencies are about 100,000 times higher than the cesium microwave frequency.

The accuracies now being achieved are like measuring the distance to the sun (93 million miles) to 0.003 of the width of a human hair.  I pulled out one of mine to measure it, and I don’t have many to spare!  This is like 0.1 picosecond/day.   GPS operates at the billionth of a second accuracy level (nanosecond); a picosecond is a thousand times smaller than a nanosecond!  And the end is not in sight with things improving by about a factor of ten every seven years — Moore’s Law.  It has been a great privilege to know some of the scientists helping make this continued incredible progress.

Variations always occur in nature and in all timekeeping devices.  There is no perfect clock!  With the help of colleagues over the years, we have developed statistical techniques (Allan variance, the Modified Allan variance, and the Time variance) giving a full spectrum of colors of these variations.  All three of these have become IEEE international standards, and are broadly used in time and frequency metrology, in navigation, and in telecom systems.

We have shown that using the classical variance that one learns about in a college statistics class is like taking a black-and-white picture of a rainbow; you get intensity, but no color.  The above three variances give you both intensity and full color for the common power-law spectral variations we see in clocks.  Hewlett Packard asked me to write an application note for them, “The Science of Timekeeping.”  In it is a description of the spectrum of variations in timekeeping devices:

The different slopes denote different colors of time variations.  This application note was published in 1997, and the clocks now are about a thousand times better than the best shown here.  I prepared a tutorial for the IEEE web site on the development of these three variances:   The ordinate on this chart is the square-root of the Allan variance times the prediction or timekeeping interval.  Notice that the variations in the earth’s spin rate are one of the most divergent time-varying slopes of all in the long-term.

A lot of the above information is also contained in my IEEE ORAL HISTORY, which Dr. Donley came to our home and recorded on  5-6 November 2018. I wrote this application note with the help of my good friends, Prof. Neil Ashby, who did the relativity equations for GPS, and with Cliff Hodge, of NPL, who is a space clock expert.

Where Are We Going From Here?

As technology continues to escalate, and morality is declining due to increasing secularism and  materialism.  Where are we going?  I believe we live in the most exciting time in history, but I also believe in the above scripture with exciting promises associated therewith.  Another translation reads, “that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay.” (Amplified Bible)  The last five chapters of my book, “It’s About Time”,  deal with this question, and I show the difference between man’s time and God’s time.  The basic premise of the book is that if something is true in science, and something is true in religion, they must agree.  Hence, the subtitle is “Science harmonized with religion.”

On 26 September 2020 join in national and  international prayer to “heal” our land and forgive our sins.

On 27 September 2020, let us make it a sacred Sabbath drawing our selves and as many as we can closer to God.

We now have proof that America is the “Promise Land” spoken of in the Book of Mormon, and it is critical for the inhabitants there of to serve God or they will be”Sept off.”

The evidence of God’s love is profound for those who have eyes to see and hearts to feel.  He is inviting us to graduate into His millennial paradisaical glory with a new heaven and a new earth — exciting, but the end of worldliness has to come first. when the above scripture and the Amplified version take on great significance.  We are greatly blessed to live at this TIME in history.

Most look to the dark, but let us look to the light; IT IS GLORIOUS.  The ride home to celestial realms of glory will be more spectacular than anything we can imagine.  There we will be ONE with God in fullness of joy.

Prepare for Destruction – Are We Listening?

The Lord’s promise is that “he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous.  Wherefore… the righteous need not fear…” (1 Nephi 22:16-17)  As we see the rapidly changing times, a lot of people are in fear, because of the many problems plaguing the world.

We see these problems as “signs of the times” as we approach the glorious coming of our Lord and Savior.  Further more, the Lord reminds us,  “If ye are prepared, you shall not fear.” It would behoove us to read D&C: Section 38 and reflect on the blessings that can be ours. These blessings are in vain if we don’t “repent”. We are at a time that it is important for each of us to take stock of our personal lives and see where we need to adjust our behavior and thinking and “Repent”.

International Day Of Prayer

I recently wrote a blog article, “What Will it Take to Save America?”   Jonathan Cahn is having a national and international day of prayer based on the scripture in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  He believes that if America falls, the world will fall.  I suggest we all join in prayer for this “Land of the free” that she may fulfill her destiny.

The Firm Foundation EXPO

Last Friday (28 August 2020) I recorded my lecture for the Firm Foundation EXPO, which will be shared at the coming VIRTUAL EXPO on Sept. 25, 2020, on my 84th birthday.  It is entitled, “How to Prepare [for the days ahead].”  We have great reason to hope as we lean on the Lord and His promises.

In great contrast, we have George Soros now saying, “I consider the Trump administration a danger to the world that will disappear in 2020.”  Soros, Bill Gates, and the like are planning a summit meeting in January 2021 in Davos, Switzerland, to “reset” the world.  The COVID pandemic is providing that opportunity in their minds. Listen to the to 25 minute “Remnant TV” discourse from the Editor’s Desk (Michael J. Matt) offices of the Remnant Newspaper and TV.

Living in Exciting Times

The message of my EXPO discourse is that we live in the most exciting time in the history of the earth, and I share the signs of the times the Lord has given, and where we are in His TIME-TABLE.  If we will repent, and turn to the God of this “Land of Promise,” who is Jesus Christ, then the “destruction” prophesied can be avoided.  Even if many don’t repent, the Lord has a plan and He will gather the righteous as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. With Him, we have every hope.  Without Him we can do effectively nothing (John 15:5).  It is not the political process that will save us nor will science and technology solve our problems.  It is Christ, as we turn to Him.  He has the answer to every problem.

An interesting analysis of the political process may be found in Victor Davis Hanson’s book.  His analysis from a California perspective is most enlightening.  Peter Robinson with “Uncommon Knowledge” and the Hoover Institute at Stanford interviews Hanson.  Hanson is an “American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer.” Although his insights are profound, he misses the main message of the need for massive repentance.

Book of Mormon Type and Shadow

We see that the Lord lovingly brought forth the Book of Mormon to both validate the Bible as God’s word, but also given us “type and shadow” fundamental messages to help us prepare for the Lord’s glorious Second Coming.  This is the essence of the lecture I have prepared that will be shared with the world on the 25th of September.  We are so blessed to have the words of the prophets, and more and more are coming forth just as described in Ether Chapter eleven, which is, indeed, type and shadow for our day.  Are we heeding their incredibly important warnings?  Are we listening to the voice of the Son of God?  If we are not, we will be “cut off” at His coming. (Ether 2:10-11)  If we hearken to His voice, glorious things are in store – beyond our fondest imaginations.  Look to God and live (Alma 37:47) the abundant life He promises (John 10:10).

Truth Is Light

Christ said, ”I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Each of us has a unique mission that is revealed to our hearts and minds, as we follow the light of Christ.  The truths of God will be opened in personal revelation, and in addition those who share and those who receive the truths of God “are edified and rejoice together.” (D&C 50:22).

That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light and that light growth brighter and brighter until the perfect day. (D&C 50:24)

We also grow in gratitude as we contemplate the infinite goodness of the giver of that LIGHT.

Truth Is Light 

(John 8:12)  “TRUTH IS LIGHT” is engraved in the keystone of the arch at the entry of our home. When we were building our solar home (without a furnace) in ’92-’93, our brick mason asked if I would like the granite keystone from from the Salt Lake Temple.  He had been involved with some refurbishing of the temple and had some extra pieces. I humorously responded, “Is this a midnight acquisition?” Finding that it was a legit offer, we accepted this precious gift. As you can imagine, both the scripture and the stone are special to us and symbolize our focus on God’s TRUTHS. (D&C 84:45)

Truth Forsakes the Evil one

The opposite is also true; following the spirit of darkness leads to heaviness of heart, fear, envy, hate, lust, and an ungrateful heart.  While “Light and truth forsake the evil one.” (D&C 93:37)

The Establishment of Zion

Guest Post – Chauncey C. Riddle

Thesis: Zion is established one person at a time. However, Zion is a group of persons, persons who have all traveled the same strait and narrow covenant path to having become like unto Christ Himself. The Holy Temple Ordinances are the engine for establishing Zion.

1. Personal Revelation

The absolute fundamental to become a Zion person is to know by the Holy Spirit that God lives and Jesus Christ is the Savior of all the inhabitants of this world. In other words, the beginning of becoming like Christ is to be personally founded on the rock of revelation. A person founded on that rock not only has had revelation but lives by it daily, thus being enabled to do the works of righteousness.

2. Baptism and Confirmation

The works of righteousness are ministering to one’s neighbors as Christ would if He were here. The ordinances necessary for gaining this foundation are baptism and confirmation.

What Will It Take To Save America?

What will it take to save America? If this nation goes down, there also goes liberty for the world.

Jonathan Cahn, wrote The Harbinger, a book about 9/11, which opened up to the world the great significance of many last day prophecies being fulfilled right before our eyes.  We presently are on the brink of disaster.

What Can Be Done?

Cahn, and other spiritual leaders have called, all who will, to turn to prayer for the greatest nation in history. There will be ten days of prayer and repentance that coincide with the Biblical Feast of Trumpet and ending with the Day of Atonement (September 18th to September 28th.)

The Return

The Return is a  joint national and global day of prayer and repentance that will be held on Saturday, the 26th of September 2020. They are asking as many as can to gather on the Washington D.C. Mall for this day of prayer – believing this is our last opportunity for this nation to receive the promise in the scriptures.  Those who can’t make it there can, of course, have their own day of prayer wherever they are.  The goal is to invoke the Lord’s blessing, if we do our part, which America critically needs:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14

Behold – I Will Make A New Covenant

We live in that exciting time when the Lord is bringing to full fruition His “new covenant” with those who will repent and come unto Him – with the promise that “I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jeremiah 31:31-24)  And will be the recipients of Eternal Life – the greatest of all the gifts of God.

The Great Gathering

As part of the great gathering from the four corners of the earth, the Lord is preparing the hearts of all who will to be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom – the “Pure in heart” ZION society.  As Hugh Nibley so aptly said, we cannot have one toe in Babylon and still be part of ZION.  A beautiful example of how the “pure in the heart” are being gathered is in the conversion of Afshin Javid.  He reports that about a thousand Iranians per week are coming to know the Lord in one way or another.  Are there similar stories in other countries in the quiet workings of the Lord?

In the total fairness of the Lord, He has promised that His gospel will go to everyone (Matt. 24:14; D&C 90:11) before the end [of wickedness, the end of worldliness] comes, and we move into His glorious millennial reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Our Mission Experience

When we served our mission in West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire) in 1997-99, there was one mission and one stake.  Now there are 14 stakes and three missions and a temple planned.  There is much to be done for the gospel to go to all people, but the Lord has big plans – including sending out 144,000 and no missionary training centers will be needed as they will have the gift of tongues.

A Message of Gladness

As the librettist, Charles Jennens gave the scriptural texts to George Frederick Handel for the composition of his world-famous “Messiah,” I gave scriptures to our oldest son, Sterling, who is a composer, and asked him if he would prepare a special number for our missionary farewell.  It came together in an inspiring way similar as it did for Handel.  Family and friends came together from five states to help us build our home in Fountain Green and to send us off on our mission.  It is a millennial text and inspired music, and I felt to share it in conjunction with this blog article:

A Message of Gladness

Righteousness will I send down from heaven|
Truth will I send forth out of the Earth;
To bear testimony of mine Only Begotten.
Looking forth for the time of my coming.

In my name shall they do many wonderful works;
In my name they shall cast out devils;

Our farewell was recorded, and our talks, including Wayne Winters, inspired musical selection, and the choir, I have placed on Google drive.  Our conducting friend, Al Stumpy, led the choir and Sterling was the piano accompanist.  We had a 35 voice choir – certainly not professional – but you can feel the spirit of the message.  Our grand-daughters, Jessika, Rachel, and Mary Owen, sang the Isaiah 12 section.  We listened to “The Message of Gladness” many times while we were on our mission, and it always lifted our hearts as we were doing the Lord’s work in bringing souls to Him; we had great success there.

Christ the Mediator of the New Covenant

The Apostle Paul explains the “new covenant” (Heb. 8:8, 13; 12:24), and it is good to read Hebrews chapters 8-13 to appreciate what Christ has offered in this new covenant.  As Jeremiah explains, the old covenant that He “Made with their fathers in the day that [He] took them… out of… Egypt, which covenant they brake…” (Jer. 31:32)

Christ as the great mediator brought about the infinite atonement, as an unparalleled manifestation of His love and Father’s love (John 3:16) for all of His children – extending mercy to all to partake of the new covenant.

This “new covenant” He is in the processing of renewing in a “marvelous work and a wonder” with the “house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:” (Jer. 31:31; Isa. 29:14 ; 3 Nephi 21:9). and it is happening in our day and time!

FIRST shall be LAST and the LAST shall be FIRST

In the scriptures, the Lord divides His children into two groups – Israel or Jews and Gentiles.  The first were given covenants to live and share the gospel.  As explained in the last blog article, Israel or the Jews were the FIRST, and the GENTILES were the last.  We are in that day in the grand chiasmus where the FIRST is becoming the LAST in the great gathering and as this “new covenant” is renewed and brought to full fruition.

As Paul taught: 1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

And as Nephi shares: 2 Nephi 33:8 I have charity for the Jew – I say, Jew, because I mean them from whence I came.  9 I also have charity for the Gentiles.  But behold, for none of these can I hope except they shall be reconciled unto Christ, and enter into the narrow gate, and walk in the strait path which leads to life, and continue in the path until the end of the day of probation.

The Savior gives a clear sign when these things shall be: “For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and marvelous work among them…” (3 Nephi 21:9; I suggest you read the whole chapter to learn of the many exciting things that are about to transpire; chapters 20, 22, and 23 of  Third Nephi are replete as well.)  Here the Savior does a glorious Hebrew Midrash explaining several scriptures from the Bible incredibly relevant inthe end-time scenario.

In this regard, Avraham Gileadi, who is the world’s best scholar on the Book of Isaiah, gives a dynamic perspective:

As biblical history shows, even when his people in general apostatize and Jehovah hides his face or presence from them, certain ‘disciples’ remain loyal, as did the disciples or ‘sons of the prophets’ anciently (2 Kings 2:3–7; 4:38; 6:1). At such times, Jehovah withdraws the testimony of his truth and the law of his covenant from among his people and preserves them among those individuals willing to live by them. The singular pronouns ‘I will wait’ and ‘I will expect’ highlight the idea that only loyal individuals endure through his people’s dark phase and thus experience his deliverance (Isaiah 8:16—18, 25:9; 30:18; 33:2). —From Apocalyptic Commentary of the Book of Isaiah by Avraham Gileadi Ph.D.

Enemies ‘ Undoing.

The enemies of God’s people won’t know what hit them when God overturns their ultimate goal to eliminate his people from the earth. When they reach the point that their hatred of the truth so obsesses them that they set out to destroy his people who espouse it, that is the point when God intervenes in their behalf and it is their enemies themselves who are eliminated. And as God acts solely within the parameters of the covenants he makes with his people, individuals, it is according to the protection clause of his covenants that he turns the tables on their enemies.

…Because all covenants God makes have both blessings and curses attached, on the other hand, when his people transgress his commandments the curses go into effect and they suffer their ill effects.

…Hence the importance of maintaining individual loyalty to God under the weight of increasing evils and opposition even from within our own ranks should that be the case. Knowing that the outcome of persevering with God will be the blessing of his protection and the demise of his enemies, we can decide beforehand to remain faithful to him and with his help to rise above the evil. In an endtime context, God lets evil runs its course so he can empower us over it as we center our lives in Christ. The terms of the Davidic Covenant provide his assurance to us of his divine protection.

As the Apostle, Paul proclaims let “Christ be formed in you” (Gal. 4:19) and be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom.  As explained in the previous blog article,  the Kingdom of the Devil has tons of enticements.  We Know with certainty that the Lord is coming, and He will bring into full fruition the renewal of this exciting “new covenant” He has made with the faithful.  Let us get totally out of Babylon, which will fall, and not be any part of it.  The greatest opportunity of our existence is to ONE with Him who knows the end from the beginning and prepare ourselves for this glorious ZION and ideal society.  IT IS COMING!

Kingdom of Christ and Kingdom of the Devil — the Differences

We live in one of the most exciting times in the history of this earth. How blessed we are to live now, and we were each chosen to be here at this time, playing a role.  Indeed, we are at a significant crossroads.  The future will be very different as we will see even more monumental events unfold.

We now orbit the sun every sidereal year in an elliptical orbit coming closest to the sun in January. At a spin axis tilted 23 ½ degrees, the heavens give us our Divine designed seasons for this mortal sphere and provide heating and cooling for all life.  In the future the continents will become one continent again, as part of the “restitution of all things” spoken of by the Apostle Peter (Acts 3:19-21). Our earth will no longer be in our solar system, and we will have a new heaven and a new earth.  Christ will be our light,  instead of the sun.

The First Shall be Last and the Last Shall be First

This grand chiasmus the Savior shared in Matthew 19:30 and 20:16 is explained in detail in an article on AllansTIME.com web site entitled, “Who is Israel.”  In summary the FIRST is Israel, and the LAST is the Gentiles.  Jesus taught that the kingdom of God would be taken from the House of Israel “and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”  In other words, the FIRST (Israel) had rejected the Christ, and the New Testament tells the story of how it was given to the LAST (the Gentiles).

Then the Gentiles rejected the fullness of the gospel as the world moved into the dark ages, and so the Lord restored the fullness of the Gospel, as the LAST became the FIRST, as  the United States — considered a gentile nation and a promised land — was the recipient of this great blessing in 1830, a blessed land where the fullness of the gospel was restored.  Joseph Smith taught that America is identified with the gentiles. (D&C 109:60)

Characteristics of the Gentile Era

As latter-day revelation makes clear, “the times” of the Gentiles refers to the time when the fullness of the gospel will come among them (D&C 45:24-28).

  1. Revolutionary War and Civil War stops slavery in America.
  2. Land of Liberty brought forth by the Lord with inspired founding documents.
  3. Established a Bible-based ethnic culture in America.
  4. Joseph Smith sees the Father and the Son in Grand Epiphany in 1820 to begin the process of restoration.
  5. The gospel’s fullness restored with Holy Scriptures that support the Bible: The Book of Mormon, Doctrine, and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
  6. Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods restored along with gospel ordinances and the same covenant organization as Christ’s Church in the meridian of time.
  7. Ancient prophets restore keys for turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the children to their fathers and the preparation for the “restitution of all things,” spoken of by the Apostle Peter. (Acts 3:19-21)  The gathering of Israel from the “four-corners” of the earth is in full motion.

Along with the blessings of the Gentile Era, there comes a warning:

When the resurrected Jesus came among the Book of Mormon people here in America, He prophesied, “when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel… ” then He lists their sins, which now describes America turning their back on the Lord, then He states, “I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.”  We are at that day when the FIRST is becoming the LAST as the gospel goes to scattered Israel gathering them from the four-corners of the earth.

But then in His infinite mercy he promises, “if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.” (3 Nephi 16:13)  Only righteous individuals will be able to enjoy the Israel era.

Characteristics of Israel era:

  1. Righteous put on the “whole armor” to protect from the sins of Babylonian encroachment. (Eph. 6:11-18; D&C 27:15-18)
  2. Re-enthrone Liberty and the founding documents’ values in preparation for the ideal (pure in heart) Zion society.
  3. Establish a Zion society based on the pure love of Christ — Bride to meet the Bridegroom.
  4. Jeremiah (31:31-34) comes into fulfillment: we will all know Him (Second Comforter).
  5. New scriptures brought forth: Brass Plates; sealed portion (Isa. 29:11); records from the gathered Tribes of Israel.
  6. Cleansed and purified Church with priesthood practiced as anciently by Enoch.
  7. The full purpose of the temple appreciated; enjoy His Presence and angelic communication, and the Lord’s promise in D&C 93:1.

We Are At A Crossroads – What Will You Choose?

Differences to know between the Devil versus Jesus

Currently Satan’s Major Distractions and Destructive Tactics:

  • promoting socialism and communism
  • Satan seeking “sole management of the government.” ( Hel. 6:39)
  • COVID-19 get everyone vaccinated and the “green” movement
  • “Black lives matter” to humiliate and destroy
  • 5G Communication system; a silent and slow killer.
  • New World Order led by the Elites — the “deep state.”
  • The state, not the individual, is sovereign.
  • There are too many people (depopulation strategies).
  • Technocracy to control and monitor everyone: “Mark of the Beast.”

Christ’s Total Victory in Progress:

The scriptures are replete with the signs of His coming; too many to enumerate here.  We live in the “great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Great for the righteous and dreadful for the wicked.  We live during that great day when the LAST is gathering the FIRST,  the great gathering of Israel.  Another definition for Israel is all those who put their trust in the Lord and treasure up his word with the promise that they “shall not be deceived.” (JS-M 37)  When we come unto Him, we take upon us the name of Jesus Christ, we become a part of His covenant family.  We learn in the temple that Israel is another name for Christ.  The House of Israel is the House of Christ — cleansed and purified by His infinite atonement.

We have His promise that wherever we are, He will gather us “as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings.”  “Listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, the Great I Am, whose arm of mercy hath atoned for your sins; Who will gather his people even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer.”

We know Jesus Christ’s second coming is imminent.  The signs in the heavens are increasing, and encouraging those with “eyes to see and ears to hear” to help build and gather ideal Zion societies. These are “the end times” because moral wickedness will end and righteousness will rule in the hearts of men, with Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our connection to Jesus Christ will bind the Devil, and the Lord will destroy Babylon, the Devil’s kingdom on earth. The Lord will restore the earth to her paradisiacal glory.

Some favorite scriptures telling of the end-times are Matt. 24; JS-Matthew; The Book of Daniel and specifically 2:44-45; Acts 3:19-23; Eph. 1:10; Rev. 14:7; the Book of Revelations; 1 Nephi 13:37; chapter 22; 2 Nephi 2:25-27; Mosiah 3:19-20; 3 Nephi chapters 20-23; Mormon chapters 8-9; Ether 13:1-10; Moroni 7 and 10; D&C sections 133, 88 and 45.

We live in that day when “nothing shall be withheld.” (D&C 121:28)  There are 1800 phrases in our scriptures that can be shown to tie back to the language of Adam.  If the scriptures are false, then these phrases could not be there as they are.  How they are is humanly impossible.  Since they are there as they are, the scriptures are true and we have God’s fingerprint in them. QED

I show that the Adamic phrase “And it shall come to pass” occurs more than 200 times in our scriptures and ties to the name of JEHOVAH and events around the restoration of the gospel in America for the world and events leading up to the Second Coming.

For further guidance, listen to the following from Elder David Bednar, an Apostle of the Lord.  President Benson’s: Wake Up Call is a clear clarion statement of the problem.  The Prophet Moroni, some 400 years AD, saw clearly our day and warned us “to awake.”  Read specifically his call to repentance in Ether 8:23-26

If you know of someone who has lost faith, Joseph in Egypt and the Prophet Nephi both prophesied that the Book of Mormon would come forth validating the Bible and build up faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray that we will all choose the Kingdom of Christ and His promised glorious, joyful blessings beyond our comprehension.

Facing Crossroads in Times of Change

We are at a great crossroads, a point in life when important decisions are being made world-wide. What is being chosen? What is the foundation for making individual decisions? What is the basis for decisions made by leaders? Alas, the Lord has prophesied of “a great division.” (2 Nephi 30:10)  I believe we are there. We are fast approaching the ultimate consequences of a great division among humanity.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matt. 24:24)

Who are “They” who WILL deceive? 

  • “They” are the “elite,” who seek for power, gain, and control over the masses with pride in their hearts thinking they know better than everyone else.
  • “They” are religious leaders who point to themselves, and do not point their congregations to Christ first, leaders who no longer refer to God’s word for their source of inspiration — and teach instead the “philosophies… of men.” (Colossians 2:8)
  • “They” are educational institutions providing instruction contrary to the scriptures. Organic evolution is one of their tools that has led countless millions down the road to atheism.  Science is their god.
  • “They” are political leaders who have forgotten that the liberty America has enjoyed is based on Biblical ethics.
  • “They” are technocrats, who believe technology will save the world.
  • “They” are those who believe there is no God, and no devil, but they are willing to follow the anti-Christ when he comes, and he is coming soon, as part of this “crossroads.”

“They Shall Deceive The Very Elect,” But The Elect Need Not Be Deceived:

  • Those who are true followers of Christ, “chosen, of God, and precious.” (1 Peter 2:1-9)
  • “And whoso treasureth up my words, shall not be deceived. (JS Matthew 24:30)  Notice, this translation uses the word “shall,” which is a sure thing in the Lord’s arithmetic.
  • Christ is the “Word” (John 1:1), and His words only are the “Way,” “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Farther, but by me.” (John 14:6)  The early Christians called the Church, “The Way.”
