In the blessing of Abraham it declares: “In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.” (Gen. 22:18.)
In God’s timing, we are entering that epoch when the First is becoming the Last. The Arab nations are descendants of Abraham, and now, more and more of them are coming to Christ. Afshin Javid was visited by Jesus, and he is now having great success in bringing other Muslims to Christ. The Lord is reaching out to all nations to gather scattered Israel and fulfill the promises made to Abraham
Devout Muslim Coming to Christ – A Remarkable Story
Our youngest daughter, McKaylee, shared this remarkable story with us. If you watch it, in 73 minutes you see and hear how Afshin Javid, an Iranian most-devout Muslim came to know Jesus. I learned a lot about the Muslim beliefs, customs, and traditions in hearing his story. It is a most incredible story.
Here I share it in summary.
As a young person he was very adventurous and did many dangerous things. His life was spared on several occasions, and each time that would happen he saw a tall man standing off in the distance as his rescuer. He shared that with his family. As he was willing to give his life for Ala, he joined the army to search out land-mines. He was prevented from doing that, which would have surely killed him.
In his deep devotion to Ala he was getting confusing signals taking him to a point where he said he felt like he was drowning. In his reaching out in despair and asking if someone was there, the name of Jesus came into his mind, and he felt the presence of this all loving divine being. When Afshin asked who he was, he heard, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Feeling all of his sins and that all of them were forgiven was a major transformation and life changing experience for him.
Seeing Jesus and feeling the power of His loving presence changed him completely. Afshin Javid, like the Apostle Paul, as strong as Paul was against Christianity, after seeing the Christ, he became one of the best missionaries ever. In Afshin’s case, he is bringing Muslims to Christ in large numbers. He further learned that the tall man he had seen, when his life had been saved in various accidents, was Jesus.
The Book of All Books
His exuberance for Jesus caused him to set outside of the mosques and people would come to him and he would tell them stories that would come into his mind about Jesus, yet he had no Bible. Sometime later he prayed for a Bible, and the next day a man brought one to him. His joke was that the delivery was better than UPS.
The book had no name on it, but he knew it was a Bible. He pulled it to his chest and he kissed it and then again. When he opened it, he saw it was in English, which he could not read. He asked the Lord to bring him a Bible tomorrow in Farsi, but he heard, “Read this one.” Three times he heard this. So he finally opened it and he was able to read it. He could not read an English newspaper, but he could read this Bible.
In reading the Bible, he found his own conversion story like Isaiah’s in Chapter 6, and that the stories he had been telling about Jesus were in the Bible. Sometime later an Englishman came and asked if he could see his Bible. The man said, “This is the King James English version (KJB).” Afshin responded, “Is there more than one English?” The man said he sometimes has a hard time understanding this old English. Most do not realize that the KJB has influenced more people to come to Christ than any other book. And this book inspired the greatest music ever written.
Family Conversion
Through several other miracles, Afshin’s siblings and parents are all Christian. He moved to Vancouver, Canada, in 1992. His wife calls him the fruit-picker. It seems that everywhere he goes he finds people who the Lord has prepared to convert them to Christ. Afshin estimates that about 1,500 Iranians per week are coming to Christ by dreams, direct visitations from Jesus, visions, being given addresses to go to where they hear the Word. Similar miracles are undoubtedly happening in the other Arab nations.
We are witnessing the blessing of Abraham as people of all nations and cultures are finding Him. It is the day of the great gathering of the seed of Abraham in preparation for the Lord’s Coming. The First is now becoming the Last as I show with data in the talk on my book’s web site.
