How do we best pay the Lord?
What will replace the dollar on earth?
What is the exchange medium in heaven?
We modern mortals pay with money. As you will see, there are other choices, and what we chose can make an enormous difference in our eternal destiny. Now, typically, we work for money so we can buy things and sustain out lives.
As Christians, we have the remarkable truth that salvation is a free gift because of the atonement of our Lord and Savior. Our best pay to Him in deepest gratitude is to live and share His glorious gospel message on both sides of the veil.
It seems that glory is the medium of exchange in heaven.
Jesus told the Twelve, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8) So, by living the gospel and also by sharing the gospel we glorify (pay) our Father in Heaven and become true disciples.
Noah Webster, in his 1828 Dictionary, defines “GLORY: (in Latin, Gloria) is brightness, splendor. It coincides with clear, and the primary sense seems to be to open, to expand, to enlarge. The felicity of heaven prepared for the children of God; celestial bliss.”
This is the most inspiring rendition of “Gloria” that I have ever heard. It depicts the Savior’s first coming with a record number of performers coming together – reminding us of the heavenly choir singing at His birth — with some 16 million views.
I believe that an even more inspiring song will be associated with His Second Coming. It lifts our souls toward heaven as we listen to the above link and think of what is coming.
Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
What other ways can We Pay?
We are paid well when our children honor us by doing well. Similarly, our Father in Heaven is paid well when we, as His offspring, honor Him by keeping His commandments; the first and most important of which is to love Him with all of our hearts, all our souls, with our minds, and with all our strength, and “the second is like,” to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Mark 12:30-31) |
Loving our neighbor most often comes in the form of service, and when we are in the service of our fellowmen, we are in the service of God and honor Him.
The most loving thing we can do for our neighbor is to share the gospel, if they do not have the fullness thereof. When others receive the gift of eternal life, we rejoice, and we and they are edified together. Is there any sweeter payment than this, as souls are touched for eternity; they are most precious to Him? Truly, these are treasures in heaven. This work of salvation and exaltation brings the greatest honor and glory to Him. This is His work and His glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of His precious sons and daughters, which is eternal family.
Satan would have us believe that there are too many people on the earth and that taking care of planet earth and the environment is top priority. If we are not paying our way in this “noble” effort to save the planet, then eugenics with the Nazis modification of it is the solution.
This is in total contrast and in opposition to Father’s plan. Satan’s plan in the form of the New World Order uses power, gain, and control to take over our lives. They plan to keep track of all the energy we use (our footprint on the planet) and payment will be in some form of energy certificates. Those who reject their plan of payment will die. In scriptural terms, it is the “Mark of the beast.” In implementation it is the “chip.” The dollar will be no more. They are the kings and plan to govern everyone and everything. Their attitude is that the elite know best.
Here is an excellent documentary on what the NWO is doing. View these two videos: “How Big Oil Conquered the World” and “Why Big Oil Conquered the World.” James Corbett is the most trusted news researcher I know. Our son, Nathan, introduced his work to us.
We should be so pleased that Heavenly Father knows the end from the beginning, and we know the plan of the NWO will eventually come to naught.
Heavenly Father’s perfect plan vs. Satan’s plan
Heavenly Father’s plan is based on free choice (agency). He will force no man to heaven; to do so would make it not heaven. Faith in His Son is the path to eternal life and a fullness of joy. Satan’s plan is the opposite – to take away our agency and to control our lives that he might make us miserable like unto himself.
It is our choice: to hearken to the voice of the Son of God and live the “abundant life” (John 10:10), or to not. Christ said, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36) It is liberty vs. captivity; freedom vs. slavery.
In Preparation for the Second Coming
As we anticipate the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, we have a choice:
· To hearken to His voice, or not;
· To be humble followers of Him, or not;
· To live and share His glorious gospel, or not;
· To be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom, or not;
· To help prepare a pure in heart people (Zion society), or not;
· To call upon Him in mighty prayer that we may conquer Satan, or not;
· To be One with the Father and the Son and to be filled with their love, light and truth, or not; (John 17)
It is interesting that the coming tribulations will give birth to the ideal society (Zion), where we will have all things in common, as in the meridian of time. There will be no need for the dollar among a pure-in-heart people. The main motivation of this society is in living the first two great commandments. All that Father does is motivated by love; so should it be for us, and it will be so as we follow His Son.
Now, Satan’s plan in the form of the New World Order is to take control of our lives and to remove our freedoms. Anything and everything he does is anti-Christ. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5)
“All Glory, Laud, and Honor To Thee Redeemer, King.”
How do we follow Christ? By doing the will of the Father, as He did perfectly – celestial service to all of Father’s children with pure love in our hearts as we do so – having joy in the journey as we fulfill each of our missions before Him. LIVING the first two great commandments brings us there.
As we give our lives to Christ, we shall find them. (Matthew 10:39; 16:25) And He gives us the sure recipe on how to not be deceived. (JS-Matthew 24:37)
And whoso treasureth up my word, shall not be deceived, for the Son of Man shall come, and he shall send his angels before him with the great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together the remainder of his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
He is the Word (John 1:1-5), as are His words. “I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

P.S. When we put God first, our medium of exchange for all of our blessings beautifully falls into place. In my 81 years, I am a witness to this truth. As a profound case in point, consider the inspiration that came for the Allan variance, which was an important assist in the development of GPS. How Emeritus Professor of Philosophy of Religion, Chauncey C. Riddle, came to write the forward and critic the book is another inspiring story.
