How to Avoid Joint Pain

Joint pain can become so debilitating that often the simplest of  tasks cannot be accomplished without great effort. Shoulder pains, hip pains, back pains, knee pains, etc. are all too common.

Our bones and tendons generate electricity when used. If they are used properly in all dimensions in which the Lord designed them then that diminishes the chances of joint pain. The importance of this principle to your health is amazing and shows intelligent design. The lack of understanding by almost everyone — including the medical community – has led to a massive amount of pain, suffering, and medical costs.

I just learned about the importance of this principle in Dr. David Williams’ November 2017 issue of his monthly newsletter for the “Health Conscious Individual,” Alternatives.  As Dr. Williams points out, this information is not taught in medical schools. I have made many beneficial changes in my exercise program as a result of what I have learned.

Inspiration for Book Cover

God inspired me to write the book, It’s About Time, and the following tells you of the inspiration He gave us for the cover of the book along with the Title and subtitles appropriate to the content.

My dear friend, Chauncey Riddle, called me and asked, “Where did you get the cover for your book?” I replied that I had given some ideas to our grand-daughter,
Rachel Oliveri, and son-in-law, Kevn Lambson,  and they created the art work and layout.  He informed me that he had been shown that the eight-pointed star is the star of Christ.

Star of Christ

I find this most profound. I see the vertical and horizontal rays of the
star are symbolic of the cross of Christ. As He was lifted up upon the
cross, then the other four rays denote Him drawing all men unto Him from the
four-corners of the earth (John 12:31-34; 3 Nephi 27:13-22). Notice, the
vertical ray comes up out of the darkness up to a shining light —
symbolizing Him bringing us out of darkness as we follow the light of
Christ.

Star of David

The Israelis invited me to help them develop their atomic-clock official
timing system. While there I learned of the significance of the Star of
David. The triangle pointing up denotes us praying to God. The triangle
pointing down denotes God talking to us. When the two come together, then
we have God in our midst or the ideal Zion society.

It’s About Time Book

The book tells what to do to be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom and have that society. The Roman numeral clock gives the feeling of coming from ancient time to now
as we prepare for His glorious Second Coming and you will learn from the
book where we are in God’s time – the most exciting time in history.

The grid denotes space. The book shares how we can transcend space and time
and move into the fifth dimension where God and His angels do their work to
bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of Father’s precious sons and
daughters, whose children we are with the potential to become like our
Heavenly Parents.

The book teaches how to tap into this dimension, where we
can learn the TRUTHs of God. Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation and
exaltation is perfect in the midst of all our imperfections. INSPIRING AND
MARVELOUS! All that He does is motivated by love; how to love is the core
message of the book. Therein is the greatest joy in time and in eternity.

Putting God First – Our Medium of Exchange

How do we best pay the Lord?
What will replace the dollar on earth?
What is the exchange medium in heaven?

We modern mortals pay with money. As you will see, there are other choices, and what we chose can make an enormous difference in our eternal destiny. Now, typically, we work for money so we can buy things and sustain out lives.

As Christians, we have the remarkable truth that salvation is a free gift because of the atonement of our Lord and Savior. Our best pay to Him in deepest gratitude is to live and share His glorious gospel message on both sides of the veil.

Intelligence Squared Debates – Science Refutes God

Intelligence Squared is an organization that stages Oxford like debates around the world.  How do you know the truth?  Do we rely on “Intelligence Squared?”

Most people trust in science to bring forth truth.  But scientists know their truths are with a lower case “t,” and may well be modified or abandoned over time.

Many believe the Bible is the standard of truth.  But, most scientists believe the Bible is a myth, and tend to worship the human mind.  That is called idolatry.  As Steven Hawkins says, we can figure out how the universe came into existence without God.  I find many atheists don’t want God in their lives so that they don’t need to feel guilty for their sins.  Richard Dawkins finds it absurd to believe that if there is a God, God would care about what he does with his genitals.

Truth cannot contradict truth.  Scientific truths must harmonize with religious truths if they are, indeed, both TRUE!  So, how do we know?

Glyphosate (Roundup) – A Serious Cumulative Poison

A Health Care Crisis and Some Solutions

In this blog post, I give a synopsis of the problem of Glyphosate (Roundup) and refer you to “More Commentary” for the article “Glyphosate – A Health-Care Crisis” to get more details and solutions.

If you knew your neighbor was being poisoned and you love your neighbor, you would tell them. That is where I am. I have recently learned of the horrible extent of poisoning by glyphosate, a poison in Roundup, that it tends to be cumulative in our bodies.

Our Total Eclipse Surreal Experience

The total eclipse on August 21, 2017, was a surreal experience for both my son Nate and me.  It was an experience that neither of us would have wanted to miss.

My nephew, Bob Malheiro, (my sister, Beverly’s, youngest) invited us to stay with them since they were right in the path of totality.

The predicted traffic was reported to be horrendous, since three million people were expected to be on this path; that is 1% of the US population in this narrow band. Nate and I drove up early Friday morning and had no problem with traffic.

What Is The Most Important Thing for Healthy Living?

healthy livingBy healthy living, we mean in body, mind, and spirit (emotionally, physically, and spiritually).

Is it eating healthful, organic foods?
Is it doing proper exercise?
Is it having a good environment?
Is it having healthy, loving relationships with the Lord and all of His children?

Is it properly dealing with all the stresses in our lives?

This morning, I had a fun conversation with the Lord around these questions.  I learned a new lesson for me.  An attitude of gratitude goes a long way toward good health in body, mind, and spirit.  I thank the Lord for being willing to and wanting to do the will of the Father in suffering infinite pain, which only a God could do, that He covered our sins, and that He completely overcame the effects of the Fall – overcoming death and hell to bring us back into the presence of God.

The IEEE Joseph F. Keithley Award Recipient

IEE Advancing Technology for Humanaity On June 27, 2017, I was notified that I have received the Joseph F Keithley Award By IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the largest scientific publishing house in the world.  It will be presented to me some time in 2018. Last year I received their highest award last year, “For seminal work… regarding time determination, time prediction, time dissemination and timekeeping through contributions to atomic frequency standards, space-based navigation, time and frequency stability analysis, time-scale algorithms, and timekeeping devices.”

The Keithey Award  is more towards instrumentation.  My friend and colleague, Emeritus Professor Kam Lau of UC Berkeley  kindly wrote the nomination for me.

The four main measurement instruments I am credited with inventing and building, and I assure you with lots of help from colleagues and mostly from on High, are:

1)      “Low information rate time control unit,” which is a quartz-crystal oscillator with instrumentation to automatically remove its systematic deviations, so that its output behaves more like an atomic clock.  This was used to generate time at Boulder for a while.

2)    A dual-mixer time-difference (DMTD) measurement system.  This is now the major means of comparing precision atomic clocks throughout the world.  We pushed the precision down to 50 femto-seconds, which is the time it takes light to travel about 15 microns.  A femto-second is one millionth of a nanosecond, which is one billionth of a second.

3)    We built a special GPS common-view timing receiver, which provided a means to compare atomic clocks around the world with a precision of about a nanosecond.  It became the main means of transferring time from the major timing centers around the world to the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in Paris for the generation of official time for the world, UTC, and is still being used today.  JPL funded the development because they needed it for the NASA/JPL Deep Space Network, which was in Goldstone, CA, Canberra, Australia, and Madrid, Spain.  I also installed one of these special receivers at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico for measuring millisecond pulsars.

4)    After retirement in 1992, Hewlett-Packard hired me as a consultant to use a “Smart Clock” patent that I had developed along with a GPS filtering idea so that by utilizing a high-quality quartz-crystal oscillator, special instrumentation and an algorithm, it made the output look like an atomic clock synchronized to UTC.  We tested it by showing that we kept synchronized with a full-up military receiver to 1 ½ nanoseconds for a month.  This was used for cell-phone sites to be synchronized, so that wherever you went your cell phone would have synchronism in timing from the different cell towers.  HP sold millions of dollars of these throughout the world.

Among those who built America’s biggest test and measurement companies after World War II are William Hewlett and David Packard of Hewlett-Packard Co. Howard Volium of Tektronix Inc. John Fluke Sr. of John Fluke Manufacturing Co. Inc. and Joseph F. Keithley of Keithley Instruments, Inc.

The Joseph F. Keithley Award is for Advances in Measurement Science

To recognize physicists who have been instrumental in the development of measurement techniques or equipment that have impact on the physics community by providing better measurements. The prize consists of $5,000 and a certificate citing the contributions made by the recipient. It is presented annually, which will be awarded in 2018.

Establishment & Support

This award is endowed by Keithley Instruments, Inc. and the Topical Group on Instrument and Measurement Science (GIMS).  Joseph F. Keithley made outstanding contributions and numerous accomplishments in area of sensitive and precision instrument development and measurement techniques.

I am grateful the Lord has allowed me to serve as I have.  I have been greatly blessed.  I know of myself I am nothing.  With Him I can do all things well with a goal to serve.
