The balance of mercy and justice concerning Christ’s atonement has always been an important subject of interest to me. I have found that many do not seem to understand the depth of this most significant subject.

While I was serving as Stake President in Boulder, Colorado, we asked the Lord to guide the High Council in choosing twelve topics that the saints needed to hear over the year.  We then assigned members of the council to prepare research material on each of the chosen topics that would bless the lives of the congregations they served.

When it came to my turn, I prepared a presentation on the balance of Mercy and Justice of the perfect infinite atonement—showing the grandeur of the Lord’s flawless plan of Happiness. It was received well by the members.

When the Church was studying the Doctrine and Covenants in 2021, I suggested to my good friend Rod Meldrum that I share the atonement balance visually by way of a podcast in conjunction with Section 88. It went really well, also.

Dr. David R. Hocking

I have been intrigued by David R. Hocking’s seventh book in his series of annotated editions of sacred scriptures.  Recently, I have offered to help him with his new book on the Journal of Joseph Smith. I believe this edition is going to be the best one ever. I have given him several suggestions in my enthusiasm for what he is doing, and he has included several of my recommendations.

I called David the other morning impressed that the previous podcast with Rod Meldrum would complement his Doctrine and Covenants Section 88 subject. I was pleased he included the YouTube link along with a URL Code in his new book.

How is the best way to know a person but through family and close acquaintances?  In 2004, Hyrum L Andrus and Helen Mae Andrus published the book: “They Knew the Prophet Joseph Smith; personal accounts from over 100 people who knew Joseph Smith.” The book comprises personal accounts of over 100 recorded remembrances of individuals who were close to Joseph Smith.

I have chosen several highlights from the book to share with you. Their insights are most inspiring.

Elizabeth Ann Whitney – Page 38

During the journey, the Prophet often prophesied of the destruction that ultimately would come upon the cities of the eastern states, and especially New York that in that city where would not be left a vestige of its grandeur.

Page 39 Feast for the poor such as I knew could not return the same to us: to lame, to halt, the deaf, the blind, the aged and infirm. The feast lasted three days during which time all in the vicinity of Kirtland who would come were invited and entertained as countlessly and generously as if they had been able to extend hospitality instead of receiving it. The Prophet Joseph and his two councilors were present each day talking blessing and comforting the poor with words of encouragement and their most welcome presence. The Prophet Joseph often referred to this particular feast during his lifetime and testified of the great blessing he felt in associating with the meek and humble ones from the Lord has said that “He delights to own and bless.”

The first patriarchal blessing meeting over which Joseph Smith senior presided was one of the most striking features of that particular period of time. In this meeting, I received a gift of singing inspirationally, and the first song of Zion ever given the pure language was sung by me then and interpreted by Parley P Pratt. It describes the manner in which the ancient patriarchs blessed their families and offers some accounts of Adam-ondi-Ahman. The Prophet Joseph promised me that I should never lose this gift if I would be wise in using it, and his words have been verified.

Oliver B Huntington – Page 60

He spoke earnestly of improving one’s time in this life.

I heard him say that he hoped the spirit of invention and improvement would rest upon the Saints as it was upon the Gentiles, for unless it did there would be many useful and important inventions to be lost to the world when the great destruction of the nations comes. it would then probably take hundreds of years to reproduce them again among men yes and perhaps thousands of years before they would get back upon the earth. [I think this was quoted incorrectly.]

P62  We will just stay here [in Nauvoo] 7 years he answered. The Lord has told Joseph just seven years this is not to be made public I would not like to have the word go any further.
The Lord has told Joseph that when we leave here, we will go into the Rocky Mountains right into the midst of the Lamanites. [That was literally fulfilled.]

Anson Call – Page 104

It is impossible to represent in words the grandeur of Joseph’s appearance, his beautiful descriptions of this land, and his wonderful prophetic utterances as they emanated from the glorious inspirations that overshadowed him. There was a force and power in his exclamations of which the following is but a faint echo: “Oh the Beauty of those snow-capped mountains! The cool refreshing streams that are running down through those mountain gorges.”

“But the priesthood shall prevail over its enemies triumph over the devil and be established upon the earth never more to be thrown down.”

The prophet had great ability as a financier and had his enemies left him he would have become one of the wealthiest men in America. Everything his hand touched seemed to prosper. His fields were always in good condition and yielded well. When people came to see him and he had many visitors their teams would feed the best of hay and his barn was full. No other orchard had a fine fruit as did his. If an inferior cow was by any means shoved on him it would be but a short time before she became a first-class milker. Many men saw his advice when in financial difficulty and none failed to profit by it if they followed the council he gave.

The prophet was strong and active and could build more rods of good fence in one day than most men could in two, and he always left his fence clear of everything that might gather fire such as underbrush, loose limbs, and tall strong weeds. He was orderly. His woodyard was an example of order. Logs were neatly piled, and all trash was cleared away. If he did not finish the log on which he was chopping, the remnant was laid back on the pile not left on the ground for a stumbling block. The chips he made he picked up himself into a basket put them in a wooden box which stood in the word yard or carried them into the house to be burned.

During a period of financial depression for the Prophet, the ax was stolen from his woodyard and I contrived to loan him my ax because of the unfailing habit of the Prophet to always sharpen the ax he had been using before it left his hand. People in that section burned hardwood and to keep the ax in good shape required much time and energy.

Gilbert Belknap – Page 174

His theological reasoning was of God. In his domestic circle, he was mild and forbearing but resolute and determined in the accomplishment of God’s work although opposed by the combined powers of Earth. He gathered his thousands around him and planted a great city which was to be the foundation of a mighty empire and consecrated it to God as the land of Zion. At the same time, he endured the most unparalleled persecution of any man in the history of our country with a mind that disdained to confine himself to the old beaten track of religious rights and ceremonies. He burst asunder the chains which for ages past had held in bondage the nations of the earth. He soared aloft and brought to light the hidden treasures of the Almighty. He bid defiance to the superstitious dogmas and the combined wisdom of the world, laid the foundation for man’s eternal happiness, and revived the Tree of Liberty.

The Barbie Movie presently has over 1.3 billion dollars in ticket sales, which is now online in movie theaters. Next month, a digitized version will be available on the internet with captioning assisting Satan in getting his message across the world. Three Barbie dolls are sold per second, and it is expected that with the success of the Barbie movie, those sales will significantly increase throughout this decade. Is the Barbie movie Designed to Deceive Us?

How can I make this bold statement regarding Satan’s influence on this movie, as being true? The Savior gives us the necessary and sufficient test: “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matt. 7:20) Let us study the fruits of those involved, so that we may know if this statement is true or not. Those fruits will tell the story. In a general sense, my goal in life is to bring people to Christ and to expose Satan’s deceitful ways; ways that take people away from the Christ.

Also, in general, the movie industry in part contributes to those deceitful ways. I have spent a lot of time researching Barbie’s origin and this movie because of the enormous effect the Barbie movie is having across the globe. As you will see, my research has led me to different conclusions than most. Clearly, a person’s religious paradigm affects their view of the movie.

Creation of Barbie and the  Movie

In 1945, Ruth Handler and her husband, Elliot, were involved in setting up Mattel. Ruth is credited with inventing Barbie—sharing Barbie with the world on March 9th, 1959. But actually, she borrowed the idea from a German doll, Bild Lilli.  In a recent YouTube video, Jonathan Cahn shares the dangers of the new Barbie movie claiming it is the “Most widely anti-man movie ever made.”

Jonathan Cahn shows how Bild Lilli evolved from a Mesopotamian sex goddess, Ishtar. Satan has an advantage over us in that he can tie things together over the ages to cleverly deceive us. A better understanding of history helps us expose Satan’s deceitful ways.  Jonathan’s insights are very useful. I highly recommend you listen to his 26-minute ex·po·sé; the link is below.

In 1974, Elliot and Ruth Handler were banished from the company they had founded because an investigation found Mattel guilty of issuing false and misleading financial reports. We have integrity issues here.

Barbie has been the most successful toy Mattel has ever sold. Today, three Barbie dolls are sold per second, and sales are expected to increase significantly in the remainder of this decade because of the great success of the Barbie movie. The reviews show that the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender) community is happy with the Barbie movie.

Mattel, of course, continues to profit from Barbie’s multi-distinguished professions that they have made over the years: astronaut, surgeon, Olympic athlete, downhill skier, aerobics instructor, TV news reporter, vet, rock star, doctor, army officer, air force pilot, summit diplomat, rap musician, presidential candidate, baseball player, scuba diver, lifeguard, fire-fighter, engineer, dentist, and many more. These are the models set before our girls. Being a happy wife and a happy mother are never part of the picture painted.

The Barbie Movie

Greta Gerwig wrote the script for the movie with Noah Baumbach—her live-in boyfriend, who is 14 years older. Their second son was born this year. Gerwig also directed the movie. Barbie is the most financially successful female-directed movie ever made.

Born in 1983 in Sacramento, CA, Gerwig is close to her family and was raised a Unitarian Universalist, which is a liberal religious movement. They believe in a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. They have no creed, They are unified by their shared search for spiritual growth. They use no sacred texts like the Bible. They have a deep regard for intellectual freedom and inclusive love. Their congregations include atheists, agnostics, deists, and theists.

Gerwig is a gifted playwright and actress and has received many prestigious awards. She was the main actress in Baumbach’s film, Mistress America, and closed with the line, “Being a beacon of hope for lesser people is a lonely business.”

Gerwig was included in the annual Times 100 list of the most influential people in the world in 2018. Now, with the movie Barbie, she would likely be listed near the top.

Baumbach was raised in Brooklyn with a Jewish father and a Protestant mother. His parents divorced while Noah was an adolescent. He became a very successful playwright garnishing many awards. He married Jennifer Jason Leigh in 2005. In 2007 Baumbach wrote and directed the 2007 dramedy Margot at the Wedding, starring his wife. They had a son in 2010 and Jennifer divorced him the same year.

Both Gerwig and Baumbach credit Woody Allen, the comedian, as having the most influence on their careers. Woody Allen is considered a comedian genius.

Gerwig and Baumbach’s backgrounds and Hollywood lifestyles are clearly reflected in the movie Barbie. There are those who would have Barbie and Ken in their innocence like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. I am guessing that thought never entered Greta and Noah’s minds. Biblical ethics are not part of their paradigm, but how to reach and entertain the minds of the masses. Clearly, they have been extremely successful in doing just that.

Margot Robbie’s Role as Barbie

As Margot Robbie plays the part of Barbie, she loves to show off her beautiful figure.  She declares that every night is a girl’s night. Yet, she shares—playing the part of the Barbie doll—that she and Ken have no genitals. They are not needed to have fun she implies. She waves at everyone as she drives around in her pink car.

Ruth Handler died in 2002 and is portrayed in the movie as a spirit talking to Barbie. Interestingly, Ruth’s daughter, Barbara Handler, plays the part of her mother in the movie, as Ruth’s spirit talks to Barbie. They hold hands as she helps Barbie become a human, at the end of the movie. Barbie then takes the name of Barbara Handler. Next, she says, “I want to see a gynecologist.” Why? Is this just fun Woody Allen-like humor?

A positive note is that Barbie is successful in bringing a mother and daughter back together, and a nuclear family is implied, which is great in spite of everything else in the movie to the contrary. Or is this part of a disinformation satanic strategy, covering up the pink poison, as I discuss later?

Barbie’s height (11 ½ inches) is 1/6th of her sexy human look-alike height. Her petite feminine dimensions that today’s girls view to model as they grow up are such that they would not have enough body fat to menstruate. Hence, to model themselves like Barbie means they could not be a mother. Another subtle satanic deception. In years gone by, girls became anorexic trying to mimic Barbie’s figure. Now, with the obesity epidemic because of the American diet disaster, the body fat problem has essentially disappeared.

I went to the movie because of Jonathan Cahn’s insights. I did not want to go but was also counseled by loved ones that I could not write a blog article about something that I had never seen.

In the middle of the movie, Barbie shares this clever deceitful phrase that gives you an idea about the subtle deceit. It is a key phrase: “…by giving voice to the cognitive dissonance required to be a woman under the patriarchy you robbed it of its power.” As Jonathan Cahn points out, this is not normal communication, but more like what you would find in a radical feminist handbook putting down men.

Disinformation Strategy

Johnathan Cahn’s review of the movie reminds me of the communist’s disinformation strategy. They tell you one thing that sounds good and true, but they deceive you as they do something else to help them move the communist agenda forward. This is a clever satanic trick that has worked for decades against the free world. Given the background of those writing, directing, and producing the movie, I don’t believe they feel they are using a disinformation strategy. Unfortunately, they don’t know the subtleness of Satan and his minions to accomplish their goal of destroying families and moving the feminist movement forward.

Jonathan claims that the movie vilifies and immaculates men—half of the human race. It is sugar-coated pink poison for our children to take them away from the beautifully planned and healthy family relationships designed by the Lord using clever deceitful techniques. As is done in disinformation strategy, there are good messages in the movie to sugarcoat the poison.

In Gerwig’s rendition of the movie, Little Women, she removes the very tender scene where Frederick, at the end of the movie, goes all the way to Jo March’s home to hand her her manuscript of Little Women, and lauding her for the masterpiece that it is. Gerwig replaces that tender and key scene with Jo March’s negotiation with the publisher to get the copyright— sharing her female victory.

New Lies for Old

The disinformation strategy is explained in Anatoly Golitsyn’s book, New Lies for Old, which he wrote back in the 1960s when the Cold War was in full force. He was the most significant KGB defector and tried to wake up the US intelligence. They closed their ears to him.

I had my clearance at the time and talked to one of the security guys who had met him. He said that he found his explanation of how the communists were using disinformation strategy totally credible and successful, but that Golitsyn was being ignored.

Golitsyn wrote another book after the Berlin Wall came down, the collapse of the USSR, and the “so-called” collapse of communism to explain what was really going on, in the book, Perestroika Deception. You have noticed over the years that communism has not collapsed but has subtly come into the American society in different ways to tear down America’s freedom. The global elite are the champions of this totalitarian satanic effort.

Losing Individual Sovereignty

The global elite’s totalitarian movement is designed to take away our individual sovereignty. I am sure they are happy with the Barbie movie. Also, the USSR spent massive amounts of money getting pornography in front of us along with drugs, as effective moral deterioration strategies. Guess what? Unfortunately, these techniques are working in their favor. It is wake up time as Moroni warned in Ether Chapter 8:20-26.

After the wall came down, our son Sterling and his friend Brian and I went to hear Gorbachev speak at the University of Utah on the green movement, after the so-called collapse of communism. This was their follow-up disinformation strategy step. We got front-row seats because Brian was in a wheelchair. At the end of his discourse, Gorbachev got a standing ovation, except for the three of us—knowing that the green movement is part of their disinformation strategy.

Today’s Falsehoods

Today, the green movement has morphed into false environmental issues, such as global warming and monitoring carbon dioxide emissions. Both have been proven to be false hypotheses and are about the global elite moving to take control of the world. And, reducing the world population is one of their main motives. The movie Barbie – “Have No Children”- is Hollywood’s popular presentation of this same paradigm—men are evil creatures and family and happy children are not important. The children in the movie are somber and unhappy, as they destroy their baby dolls.

I wrote a blog article, “Why Satan Hates Women.”  The Barbie movie is a clever satanic way of taking women away from their true divine role before God, which role Satan hates. The movie also feeds the Wokeism disease that is plaguing our planet. We need to stand up against Satan’s attack on Biblically ethically moral values. I am so pleased that we have a US presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, who is pro-family, pro what it means to be an American based on our founding US Constitutional principles.

Satan has been at war with the Lord’s work since the War in Heaven. Let us wake up to God’s word and His truth. We are promised that as we treasure up HIs Word, we will not be deceived. (JS-M 37)

A Good Example Movie

It is hard to find a movie portraying the Biblical ethic. The book, The Belove Bridegroom, does a tremendous and inspired job in explaining this ethic. I am privileged to know the author, Donna B. Nielsen. Her book went out of print, and I was privileged to help get it back up. It is a book everyone should read and would enjoy the inspired relevance.

The family is the most important unit in time and in eternity. God’s ideal for marriage is left out of the Barbie movie. Having husband and wife complementing each other and needing each other—being “one flesh,” are the Biblical ideals totally missing from the movie and made fun of. The movie Loving Leah is a really fun Biblically-based movie.

Another contrasting movie to the Barbie movie is The Fighting Preacher. Which is a true and amazing story documenting the 25-year mission of Willard and Rebecca Bean in Palmyra, New York.

They took care of the Joseph Smith home, which the Church had acquired. They were amazing missionaries turning a town that hated them into one that loved them.
Missionaries returning home and traveling through the area often visited the Joseph Smith home.

One of the most touching scenes is where Rebecca shares with the missionaries her experience about being visited by the Savior, as she carries her heavy duties as a mother and a missionary. The Savior gives her the sweet assurance that she will be sustained and have joy in this most important calling.

Gender and Religious Paradigms Affect Views of the Barbie Movie

I know a brilliant lady who is very intuitive, and Christ centered. She loved the movie and had Barbie and Ken in their innocence tied to the Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. A brilliant devout man I know regretted that he ever went to see it. It made him feel worse toward men’s and women’s roles. He would like to erase the Barbie movie from his mind. The Muslim near east countries have banned the Barbie movie. The French sent out an advertisement for the movie that went viral. The general immorality of the French society has brought the meaning of the name Ken in the French language to mean what men want to do to women. Clearly, the immoral world community loves the Barbie movie and go to the movie dressed in pink to show their support. The LGBT community loves it.

The Bible ethic is so beautiful for marriage being “one flesh,” body, mind, and spirit. The Lord commanded Adam and Eve to “multiply and replenish” the earth, while now the global elite would have us destroy life. The joy of husband and wife coming together to create a new life is like a sacred sacrament in the Lord’s perfect plan of happiness. True husband and wife love is unselfish—wanting to bring happiness to the other and to the family. The Barbie movie is contrary to the Biblical ethic.

In general, Satan’s disinformation strategy has moved the movies made by Hollywood to be the opposite to the Biblical ethic, and the movie Barbie is certainly no exception.

My Assessment

Are women justified with how the “patriarchy” has ruled over them over the centuries? Unfortunately, Yes! For the feminist movement to flip the coin all the way over is not the answer. Female and male equality and loving relationships, sharing, building one another up, complementing one another, needing each other to bring the fullness of joy the Lord designed is the Divine goal we should all seek for in a healthy husband and wife union.

They come together in the joy of that union and also with the hope of having children. The world opens the door to sexual freedom and doing everything they can to avoid having children. If conception occurs, then the world’s answer is abort. The Lord’s anger must be kindled greatly over the millions of babies who have been aborted.

As I mentioned, I went to the movie because of Jonathan’s exposing the deceit in the movie. I don’t recommend the movie. Don’t go unless you want to see more clearly what I am exposing of Satan’s subtle deceits. There are some good messages, but that is how Satan sugarcoats the poison. The writers, directors, and producers of the Barbie movie do not know they are using the disinformation strategy, but Satan does in his ever-subtle ways.

For me, mother and teacher are the two most important callings on the planet to bring forth love, light, and truth. The Savior was and is the Master Teacher. Outside of the Lord’s love, there is nothing more powerful in bringing about good than a mother’s love. Her love is next to God’s.

Unbeknownst to them, Hollywood is using the disinformation strategy in the movie Barbie to destroy families, to take away from healthy husband-wife relationships, to promote abortions as being okay, the transsexual agenda, and other distorted sexual behaviors contrary to Biblical ethics. And, it is obvious that the world loves it.

Most modern movies and now with internet streaming services are influenced by this disinformation strategy. Satan is having a ‘hay day,’ as most of them are designed to take people away from Christ. My hope here is to help people wake up to Satan’s subtleness and to assure all that we can “look to God and Live” (Alma 37:47) the abundant life Jesus promised. (John 10:10)

A family that serves one another and others in unselfish-loving ways is the happiest. This primary message is totally missing from the Barbie movie, as this Warner Brothers “fun” entertainment now circles the globe deceiving the masses.

You are a being of LIGHT. Your aura radiates light from your being over a large range of frequencies. Your Creator gave you a spirit body to go with your intelligence, and your earthly parents gave you a physical body to complete this marvelous creation that is you.

ESP

ESP is extrasensory perception, also known as the sixth sense. It involves an awareness of perception or communication outside of the normal sensory capability. Because, your aura radiates light from your being over a large range of frequencies, you are in touch with the universe. And so, your Creator gave you a spirit body to go with your intelligence, and your earthly parents gave you a physical body to complete this marvelous creation that is you. The Creator created you to be a creator to let your light shine–reflecting His LIGHT.

Back in 1999-2005, we were doing Unified Field Theory (UFT) experiments in my home laboratory and at BYU. We showed that this sixth sense is part of a fifth dimension and is independent of space and time. We shared how ESP works as part of your light. Your umbilical cord prayer channel to your Heavenly Parents is an extremely important use of your light to communicate with God. The above is discussed in much more detail in chapters 21-22 of my book, It’s About Time—along with experimental validation. In our UFT research, ESP and prayer are not limited by the speed of light. They are instantaneous!

Dr. Konstantin Korotkov

In 1982—during the Cold War—Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, a Scientist, was authorized by the USSR to set up a research laboratory with unlimited funding to develop ESP to communicate between a submarine and a satellite. And, they made it work. At the same time, we (the USA) were doing secret research on ESP and remote viewing at the Laurence Livermore Laboratory.

Over his forty years of research, Dr. Korotkov has become the world leader in the science of how we are beings of light. If he wants to talk to someone, he uses ESP to ask them to call him. In other words, ESP is a working reality for him. He has scientific experimentation to show ESP works.

Dr. Korotkov has nine books available on Amazon and has made several YouTube videos describing his work. His research work lines up remarkably well with our UFT research. (See YouTube Link Below) Our Creator-God made us remarkably so. Dr. Korotkov has developed instrumentation that measures a person’s light. Significant insights are gained by doing so.

Medical and Mental Implications

The incredible implications for the diagnosis and treatment of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual conditions with applications in medicine, psychology, sound therapy, biophysics, genetics, forensic science, agriculture, ecology, etc. have only just begun.

Christ – The LIGHT of the World

His promise to us is that as we follow Him, we shall not walk in darkness, but have the LIGHT of life. (John 8:12) We were all born with a conscience, which is the light of Christ (John 1:9)—to know good from evil. What an incredibly important gift. The more we follow Him and His light and live His teachings the more light emanates from us.

Now we have scientific validation that we can use our light and ESP to help make the world a better place, as we reach out in love to God and to our neighbor. If our intentions are good, the results will be good, as we share our light with the world by doing the Creator’s will in our personal lives. It is faith in God in our thoughts, deeds, and actions.
As Dr. Korotkov shares, “Life is about being happy.”

We read, “Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy.” (2 Nephi 2:25) The more we share our light, the more joy we have, and in the midst of all the challenges of life. Let us be grateful for all things—including the challenges from which we can learn important lessons. (D&C 59:21) They can grow our light instead of diminishing it.

The combined intentions of a “pure in heart people” will allow the Lord to bring forth ZION—the ideal society. The Lord asked us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” As we use our ESP to listen to the Lord’s angels, with real intent, then the results will be glorious. (Moroni 7:25-48)

Over time the role of the glorious resurrection has been diminished or made less important than the crucifixion in the minds and hearts of most Christians. This should not be. Satan has successfully diminished the great importance of the infinite atonement, which was cap-stoned by the resurrection.

Today most Christians look to Jesus and His suffering on the cross to cover their sins for their path to salvation. The glorious resurrection of our Lord and of all Heavenly Father’s children is mainly left out in their deliberations toward salvation. And, the glorious resurrection of the saints back then is hardly mentioned. In the Bible, it also takes a lesser role. Matt.27:52-53. The resurrection of the saints back then is like “by the way this also happened.”

Bible Emphasis on the Resurrection

The Bible does not emphasize how the Christians back then went from the depths of despair to the heights of ecstasy with the resurrection of our Lord and of the many who “went into the holy city and appeared unto many.” We can only imagine the joy they felt in their souls when this happened.

The resurrection of our Savior and of the saints exploded the Christian movement at that time. Modern Christianity misses the excitement the early Christians felt, and which we should still feel. Apocryphal literature gives us a much better feel for these glorious events.

Early Christians Rejoiced

There is a need to be like the early Christians and be enthralled with the glorious resurrection. The Savior told the early saints that He would be crucified and rise again. But they didn’t want to believe this horrible prediction from Him that He would be crucified. Being under the cruel Roman rule, they hoped He would “restore again the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

We can only imagine the incredible trauma the saints went through while Christ was suffering for the sins of all humankind. Then when He was resurrected three days later, this trauma turned to exceeding great joy. In addition, the details of the joy they felt when, “the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose. They came out of the graves after his resurrection and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many,” (Matt. 27:52-53) Unfortunately, important details have been left out of the Bible record. Apocryphal literature gives us much greater insights.

The Atoning Sacrifice

In the LDS scriptures, the “Atoning Sacrifice” is only mentioned once. In our LDS scriptures, we discover that there are seven critical steps to the Infinite Atonement of our Lord and Savior.  The atoning sacrifice is only one of them. All seven of them are critical to the infinite atonement. Yet, in my church we often hear in testimonies and in sermons people express their gratitude for the atoning sacrifice, when they should be expressing their gratitude for the infinite atonement, if they better understood. President Russell M. Nelson mentions the “infinite atonement” in his testimony.

Modern Christians have a similar problem in their worship looking to the cross and not to the infinite atonement. We mortals cannot comprehend the glorious dimensions of the infinite atonement, but the more we do the closer we come to knowing our infinitely loving God.

The Resurrection Miracle

Given that the glorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior is the best-documented miracle in recorded history, why is it “left out” in the thinking of the millennials, of the wokeness people, of the atheists, and of the agnostics? Intellectual integrity should bring them to this most glorious documented miracle. The glorious resurrection is the capstone to the infinite atonement, which is the most important miracle in history.

The Resurrection Brings us into God’s Presence

The Book of Mormon makes it perfectly clear that it is Christ’s resurrection that brings us back into God’s presence. (2 Nephi 9:22; Alma 42:23) Without His resurrection, we “are just toast!” The same message is in the Bible but is more obscure. (1 Corinthians 15:13-44)

With His infinite atonement, Christ overcame death and hell. Our gratitude for our anticipated glorious resurrected bodies should penetrate to the depths of our souls, if we truly understood.

Without Resurrection Fullness Not Possible

Let us join with the early saints with the deepest feelings of gratitude to our infinitely loving Heavenly Father, who gave us His Beloved Son to provide that path for a fullness of joy, as He overcame death and hell. A glorious resurrected body is a crowning jewel in our mind’s eye as we contemplate His perfect Plan of Happiness.
