We live in an age of ever-changing technology and rapidly changing world events. In this marvelous age of communication, I have authored two websites,  Allanstime.com and It’s It’s About Time book.com.  I have also authored two books.  My first book, Is About Time, was written and published in 2014 with several five stars on Amazon, over 2,000 copies, and over a hundred nations visiting my websites. And my newest book Time and Eternity – End Times & Beyond Revealed, has just been released and is doing well. It is also available as Kindle, and we have had several requests for an audio version, which we are preparing.

Looking Back To Timely Articles to Better Build Our Future

In this fast-paced world, meaningful and timely articles from both of my websites are often concealed behind a new message.  Even though many of the messages continue to be timely under our present circumstances, they are often forgotten.  Looking back to previous articles can often spark an “ah ha” reaction as you read them anew in the present time. The truths of science will not contradict the truths of religion, and as the Savior promised the TRUTH shall set you free (John 8:32, 36), and if He sets you free, then you are “free indeed.”

Have You Been Born of God?

What does it mean to “Be Born of God”?  The Prophet Alma, in the Book of Mormon, gives us some insight into what it means to “Be Born of God”. Mormons don’t often think of themselves as born-again Christians. That phrase is often associated with evangelicals. But should it? The Savior’s invitation to be “born again” is to all. We are at war: Christ versus Satan. It’s about Time for us to stand up for what we believe in.

Alma said, “And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren [and sisters] of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts? …if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?” (Alma 5:14, 26) Can you say, as the people responded after King Benjamin had shared the great plan of redemption,

And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually. And we, ourselves, also, through the infinite goodness of God, and the manifestations of his Spirit, have great views of that which is to come; and were it expedient, we could prophesy of all things. (Mosiah 5:2, 3) [Bolding is mine.]

The Importance of Being Born Again and the Spirit of Prophecy

Prompted by the “Spirit” I felt to write my two books, It’s About Time and Time & Eternity, the End-Times and Beyond Revealed. In Chapter 11 of the second book, I explicitly share the importance of being “born again,” as one of the “Seven Births” that are part of the Plan to Eternal Life.”

As the Savior told Nicodemus, a person can neither “see” nor “enter into” the “Kingdom of God” unless he/she is “born again” of water and the Spirit. (John 3:3-5) And John the Baptist shares that the Savior offers baptism “with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” (Matt. 3:11) It is the fire of the Spirit that brings about this “mighty change of heart.”

That mighty change comes independent of the ordinance of baptism; it comes when we have fully repented and have truly given our hearts to God and ask and seek for it, then it can come. The ordinances of the gospel are necessary during our path to eternal life, but not sufficient. The Lord looks upon the heart and also asks for a broken heart and contrite spirit.

God’s Grand Ironies

Ironies are expressions of one’s meaning by using language that signifies the opposite. Ironies are often used to provide emphasis on a particular concept. It is apparent that God uses ironies to get our attention and to help us on our path back to Him.

We have the Savior’s birth irony, that the King of kings and Lord of lords was born in a humble stable is an irony of majestic contrast. This babe in the manger saves the world. The heavens and the earth proclaim his birth in the humblest of circumstances. His death and resurrection resounded around the globe, as the heavens and earth witnessed—three days of darkness in the Western hemisphere—couldn’t light a fire. This darkness is in ironic contrast to Him, who is the Light of the world. As we explore these ironies, we can better understand Heavenly Father’s perfect plan of happiness.

The Divine Ratio

We often think of the Christmas star as a five-pointed star, we notice it contains the Divine ratio. If you will go to this link: http://www.allanstime.com/Spiritual/Hopewell_Civilization_Great_Octagon/divine_ratio_mystic_symbol_500.gif , you will observe the following ratios making the Divine ratio when solved:

For the five pointed star b/a = (a + b)/b = phi = (1 + square root of 5)/2 = 1.618… Phi is the Greek letter designation, and interestingly phi – 1 = 1/phi, which is unique. We find the Divine ratio is ubiquitous in nature and in the Lord’s arithmetic. While the five-pointed star may denote Christ’s birth, ironically, the five nails used in His crucifixion are displayed in the above link, and one sees this “Mystic symbol,” showing these five nails, have been found in thousands of places in North American Indian records, and it denotes their Creator: “Yod Hey Vau.” For the Hebrews it is YHVH, and for us it is Jehovah.

As one studies the “Mystic Symbol,” one can think of the left nail denoting Heavenly Father, who has given us His Son–the next nail. The next horizontal nail may denote the Holy Ghost revealing the gospel to Prophets (the 4th nail), to redeem fallen humankind denoted by the fifth leaning nail.

We see the Divine ratio in the 4 ½ square mile earthworks near Newark, Ohio, mapping out the plan of salvation, as constructed by the Jaredites and refined by the Nephites. We see it in the Giza Pyramid.

The Spirit whispered to me in answer to prayer that the Divine ratio, phi, was the ratio between the height and width of the first 5,000 copies of the Book of Mormon printed in Palmyra, New York, in preparation for the restoration of the Lord’s Church. Dedicating my new book to God, I chose this ratio for its dimensions (8 ½” x 5 ¼”).  Note, 8.5/5.25 = 1.62. As of yet, I have not found that ratio in any other books except in the original printing of the Book of Mormon and in Time & Eternity, the End-Times and Beyond Revealed.

It has been a fascinating book to research and to write. The irony of the book is it shares God’s love and hope and perfect plan in ironic contrast to what Satan and the world would have you believe.

” Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he” (Prov. 29:18). We have every reason to be filled with faith, love, and hope. People are turning to social media and to science instead of to God. The Prophet Jacob says it well:

  • O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.
  • But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God. (2 Nephi 9:28-29)

The major “cunning plan of the evil one” today is LGBTQ+. Satan is confusing massive millions with this identity crisis–especially young people. It is self-centered and narcissistic. Ironically the opposite to God’s Perfect Plan of happiness, which is come unto Christ and lose your life in unselfishly serving and loving others to help them know the TRUTH and be free of Satan’s selfish enticements (John 8:12, 32, 36).

Opposition In Order to Grow

One of the most difficult ironies most people have trouble with is that Heavenly Father’s Perfect Plan of happiness is made perfect by our mortal imperfections. Most people struggle with the concept that we need opposition in order to grow. The war in heaven resulted in the Lord casting Satan and his angels down to the earth. He could have cast them into outer darkness, but for that reason, we needed opposition here, they are very much here. One of Satan’s deceitful phrases is, “There is no devil!” Good and evil are totally ironic contrasts, but necessary for us to obtain eternal happiness. “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7).

Many people—typically atheists—say if God is good, why does He allow all the evil and suffering in the world? I explain this grand irony in great detail in Chapter 2 of my first book, IIt’s About Time. Attitude determines altitude. If we ask the Lord what can we learn from our challenges and life’s difficulties, then we can learn and grow and be grateful for the learning experience. Ironically, some of the greatest people have suffered the most—Christ is the supreme and perfect example. His infinite atonement took Him from the deepest of possible human suffering to the greatest heights of ecstasy with His glorious resurrection.

Ancient Records to Reveal Abominations

This exposure will include both those in His Church and outside, who have been caught up in Satan’s subtle deceitful ways. The Lord has given us the tools so that we can avoid deceit and know the truth. In the midst of all the storms of life, how perfect is His Plan of Happiness prepared for the righteous? In His fairness, all nations will know of Satan’s deceit, as these ancient records are brought to light.

Records by the Gift and Power of God

We are so fortunate to have the Book of Mormon—translated by the “gift and power of God,” and we can anticipate exciting and extremely important ancient records coming forth by that same power. We will see what an enormous blessing they will be when they come forth. The scriptural accuracy of these records is of profound value in our search for truth versus error. We have God’s promise that if we will treasure up His word, we shall not be deceived (JS-M 37; JS Matt. 24:30; JS Mark 13:26 in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word will be established (2 Corinthians 13:1)).

Translation Errors in the Scriptures

Translation errors are not uncommon. We are all imperfect and what can we expect other than a translator will introduce his/her paradigm into the translation—believing it to be correct. I share in my new book that Sir Isaac Newton found significant Bible translation errors. David Bercot, after studying the teachings of the primitive Church, wrote the book, Will the Real Heretics Stand Up? He determined that current Christianity is influenced more by St. Augustine, Martin Luther, and others, than by the pure teachings of Christ due to translation errors and misinterpretations of the Bible.

Translation Errors in the Scriptures of the Restored Church

Even in the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we have mistranslations that have crept into the Book of Mormon because of people’s paradigms. For example, a dear friend of ours, Gwen Winters, pointed out that in the original Book of Mormon, which was translated correctly by the “gift and power of God,” Alma 37 reads:

21 And now, I will speak unto you concerning those twenty-four plates [the Jaredite record], that ye keep them, that the mysteries and the works of darkness, and their secret works, or the secret works of those people who have been destroyed, may be made manifest unto this people; yea, all their murders, and robbings, and their plunderings, and all their wickedness and abominations, may be made manifest unto this people; yea, and that ye preserve these directors.

22 For behold, the Lord saw that his people began to work in darkness, yea, work secret murders and abominations; therefore the Lord said if they did not repent they should be destroyed from off the face of the earth.

23 And the Lord said: I will prepare unto my servant Gazelem, a stone, which shall shine forth in darkness unto light, that I may discover unto my people who serve me, that I may discover unto them the works of their brethren, yea, their secret works, their works of darkness, and their wickedness and abominations.

24 And now, my son, these directors were prepared that the word of God might be fulfilled, which he spake, saying:

25 I will bring forth out of darkness unto light all their secret works and their abominations, and except they repent I will destroy them from off the face of the earth; and I will bring to light all their secrets and abominations, unto every nation that shall hereafter possess the land. [bolding is mine]

Directors to Guide; Interpreters to Translate

The word directors were changed over the years to interpreters, which has a very different meaning. Directors are like a Liahona that guided the Lehites to the Promised Land of America in 592 B.C. Interpreters are like the Urim and Thummim (seer stone) used by the Prophet Joseph to translate the Book of Mormon by the “gift and power of God.”

Directors to Guide “my servant Gazelem” to Obtain Ancient Records and Translate with Seer “stone” for “my people who serve me” to Discover the Secret Works of Darkness, Wickedness, and Abominations of “their Brethren”

As stated in verse 24, “These directors were prepared that the word of God might be fulfilled.” In the future, we have these extremely important events where the Lord, “will prepare unto my servant Gazelem, a stone, which shall shine forth in darkness unto light, that I may discover unto my people who serve me, that I may discover unto them the works of their brethren, yea, their secret works, their works of darkness, and their wickedness and abominations.”(Bolding is mine)

So the Lord will do this for those who are serving Him—true disciples of Christ—to reveal “secret… works of darkness” among “their brethren.” In other words, the rank and file were caught up in this “wickedness and abominations.” Further, these secret works of darkness will be made known “unto every nation that shall hereafter possess the land.” In other words, these secret works of darkness, wickedness, and abominations will be made known to Americans, who have come into the possession of this “Promised Land.”

This special “servant Gazelem” will use the “directors” to take him to the “Hill Shim” (see New Book of Mormon Miracles | It’s About Time (itsabouttimebook.com)) which is the grand repository of ancient records. Then with the seer “stone” mentioned in verse 23 and by the “gift and power of God” he will translate the “24 gold plates” and the “brass plates,” which reveal the end from the beginning and “their secret works of darkness, and their wickedness and abominations” in due process as the Lord guides this monumental effort. The Lord has promised, “I will bring to light all their secrets and abominations.”

Moroni Saw our Day and these Goings on

Moroni, who saw our day more clearly than any other prophet, Who Is Moroni? | It’s About Time (itsabouttimebook.com), describes how these secret combinations destroyed the Jaredite nation about 600 B.C., and the Nephite nation about 385 A.D., and he gives this profound warning to us in Ether Chapter 8:

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people, and they are had among the Lamanites.

21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking [the Jaredites], and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.

It is fascinating that the coming forth of these ancient records by the “gift and power of God” will help “clear the air” and prepare a people for Christ’s glorious millennial reign. These secret works of darkness and abominations will be revealed and destroyed along with those who uphold them. Note, the Lord commands us to be awake when these things come among us–implied to do what we can to help expose them and put them down.

A more Recent Translation Error

We take it as a given that Joseph Smith’s translation was by the gift and power of God. I noticed a more recent mistranslation error that crept in over the years. For Christmas in 1954, my parents gave me a most wonderful gift—the 1953 edition of the scriptures for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was that book that helped me bring many souls to Christ during my Eastern States Mission (1956-1958), and I truly fell in love with the author of them. I learned in my recent research that the phrase “and shall reject the fulness of my gospel” (3 Nephi 16:10) had been removed from this 1953 edition. I noticed it had been put back in my 1979 edition of the scriptures. This scripture is a central message of both of my books, (It’s About Time and Time & Eternity, the End-Times and Beyond Revealed, available from Amazon and from www.ItsAboutTimeBook.com), as the Savior declares as He has been commanded by the Father do so: “At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel [the Bible gospel], and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations…”

The only ones who can reject the “fulness” are those who have it through the restoration of the Prophet Joseph Smith in bringing forth the Book of Mormon containing the “fulness of mine everlasting gospel” (D&C 27:5). So, the Savior is saying, “when,” not “if,” that happens and the Gentiles commit the atrocities listed in Third Nephi 16:10 then, “I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them. And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O House of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them” (3 Nephi 16:10-11). I am guessing the above phrase was removed because they felt we hadn’t rejected the “fulness.” The signs are evident; we are at that juncture when the FIRST (Israel) is becoming the LAST, and the LAST (the Gentiles) have become the FIRST with the restoration, but have now “rejected the fulness of my gospel,” as we see far too many Americas [the Gentile nation spoken of] are in moral decline and doing all the sins listed in 3 Nephi 16:10D

How Blessed we are to have our Good God in Charge

We live in that exciting time when “nothing shall be withheld” (D&C 121:28), as the Lord opens up the path to prepare the way for His Coming. For those who are serving Him, they have the very bright hope that the records coming forth—translated by the gift and power of God—will destroy the secret abominations and those who perpetrate them. Clearly, the most important thing we can do is to repent and come fully to the God of this land, who is Jesus the Christ, and to love Him and serve Him and love Him with all our heart, might, mind, and strength.

Modern Technology Reveals the Mind of God

In recent years with the advent of digital computers, modern technology has opened up to us a touch of the infinite mind of God as the Master Mathematician.

Now that modern technology has revealed this, we see it all over in His creations. These numbers and mathematical properties have been there all along, and now we get a taste of the infinite loving mind of our Creator.

Let me explain a couple of terms in lay person’s language to better understand the marvelous nature of the omniscient mind of God. We can think of mathematics as an abstract way to quantify things. For example, I have three apples; the quantity is three. There are seven planets in our solar system. There are seven archangels, seven dispensations of the gospel, seven days of the week, and seven thousand years for the Lord to perfect the earth to be the celestial kingdom, we know that seven is the number for perfection and completeness in the Lord’s arithmetic.

The Man Who Knew Infinity

Beautiful Mathematics in the Mind of God

I have learned that God is the Master Physicist, Master Mathematician, and the Master of any good discipline you may think of. We worship an awesome God. I believe God smiles as we uncover His majesty.

If you know someone who has lost faith or is an agnostic or an atheist, here is your answer for them. Dr. Jason Lisle Ph.D. is a devoted Christian and astrophysicist and founder of the Biblical Science Institute. He has a most remarkable video with detailed pictures demonstrating the beauty of the mathematics of the mind of God. There is no secular or atheistic explanation for these—showing a touch of the beauty of God’s mathematics.

The Mathematics of God

Let me explain a couple of terms in lay person’s language to better understand the marvelous nature of the omniscient mind of God. We can think of mathematics as an abstract way to quantify things. For example, I have three apples; the quantity is three.

Different Colors of Noise

Next, we usually think of noise as being acoustic—something we hear or don’t want to hear. But in general terms, we can think of noise as the variability of any quantity. For example, the numbers describing the height of the flood stage of the Nile River each year when analyzed over the 2,000 years of recorded data have a variability called flicker noise–sometimes called pink noise. We can think of white noise like a flip of a coin—heads or tails are equally probable. With each flip, we have no memory of the past flips. Random-walk noise on the other hand can be modeled by taking one step forward if the flip of the coin is positive and one step backward if the flip is tails. In this case, your position has a perfect memory of all the past flips.

Flicker Noise or Pink noise

Flicker noise has a spectral noise behavior halfway between white noise and random walk noise. Flicker noise tends to lose the memory of past flips but retains a good memory of recent flips. Flicker noise is ubiquitous in nature; everything from resting neuron voltage to the scintillation variations in the starlight; “Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are?” You are flickering like flicker noise! Further, flicker noise is self-similar; in other words, if you analyze a section of a flicker-noise data set, the section looks very much like the whole data set with similar spectral noise-color properties and amplitude.

God’s Pictorial Beauty

Dr. Benoit Mandelbrot first discovered some of the beauty in God’s mathematics back in the 1980s. Click the link “Mandelbrot set”.  At the bottom of the page, you will see pictures like the few we have shared here. These images from God’s mathematics have always existed, but Mandelbrot’s insights with the availability of the digital computer revealed them to us:

These detailed images have infinite depth—showing the infinite mind of God and the beauty we see in nature because of His creation mathematics, and the images are self-similar. AMAZING!  Enjoy a touch of God’s mathematics.

As Dr. Lisle shares the beauty of these self-similar fractal processes coming from a mathematical equation, one comes to know a touch of the beauty that the Master Mathematician uses in creation. It demonstrates that God’s mind is infinite. His love for us, His children, is infinite. It is fascinating that the beauty in the Mandelbrot set has always been there as part of God’s infinite mind in His Creations, and if we look closely, we will see them all over in natural processes. Like flicker-noise they are self-similar and ubiquitous in nature.

Flicker Noise is a Limiting Noise in Atomic Clocks

Because flicker noise is also a self-similar process, this made Mandelbrot’s work extremely interesting to us, because flicker noise is a limiting noise process in precision clocks—like atomic clocks needed for GPS.  Back in the 1960s, Jim’s and my theses had demonstrated how to characterize flicker noise. The spectral density of flicker noise is proportional to 1/f, where f is the Fourier frequency used to model a data set. Characterizing flicker noise is mathematically a challenge because the integral of 1/f (flicker-noise) blows up mathematically at both integration limits. This means that both the average value for a flicker noise process and its classical variance don’t mathematically exist –do not converge to meaningful values.

It reminds me of agency (free choice). We can choose the right or we can choose the wrong. The good Lord gave us all a conscience to do so–the light of Christ–and we are most grateful for our individual sovereignty “to choose our life and what it will be.”

Because of Flicker Noise in Atomic Clocks

In 1977, I was invited to Tokyo, Japan, to give a talk on my research on the presence of flicker-noise in atomic clocks at an International Flicker-noise Symposium. There, I met Dr. Voss, who demonstrated how flicker-noise describes music variations—a fascinating talk.

Later, I invited him to give a talk at a Frequency Control Symposium in Philadelphia, PA. Again, it was a fascinating talk. Using computer simulations of noise, he shared the sound of music made from white noise. It sounded horrible—drive you crazy. Then he shared some music made from computer-generated random-walk noise–it put you to sleep. Then he shared some computer-simulated music made from flicker-noise, and it was very pleasing to listen to. Remember flicker noise is halfway between these two noise processes in terms of its spectral properties.

Because, flicker-noise processes are ubiquitous in nature, the Allan variance is used across the globe to characterize and identify these flicker-noise processes. The Allan variance, the Modified Allan variance, and the Time variance, which my colleagues and I developed at the lab in Boulder, nicely differentiate flicker noise from the several other kinds and colors of noise that are invariably present in nature and are commonly present in any time-series data set.

The Secret Code Seen in Creation

So, for all you non-believers out there, in this link Dr. Jason Lisle shares with the world a piece of the infinite beauty and depth of the mathematical Mind of God.  Secular folks and atheists simply cannot explain how this could be. Building A Testimony of Christ

Guest Post:  We humans do not know much about ourselves. The things we really know are the familiar things we repeatedly observe. However, most of what we believe, at any given moment, we do not observe, such as our belief in Europe or the Far East. We also have built a fabric of beliefs about many things we do not now sense or perceive, and we live our lives in this web of present knowledge firmly located in a web of present beliefs.

Knowledge and Beliefs

So we have at least two kinds of ideas: Things we presently perceive (our knowledge) and the web of beliefs, which gives meaning and reality to the imaginations in which we hold all of our present perceptions.

The Greeks called these two kinds of ideas physics (the things we sensorily perceive) and metaphysics (the unseen reality beyond the seen reality). It turns out that most of our important ideas about the reality of the universe are metaphysics, not physics. And metaphysics is the realm of faith, the things we believe but cannot prove, that gives understanding to the things we can see and prove.

Every normal human being has a metaphysics that he or she believes but cannot prove. Some people have better metaphysics than others, and this enables them to better predict the future and better explain what is going on in the realm of the things that can be seen. Since no one can prove that their metaphysics is correct, we may conclude that every human being lives by faith in something and that something is their metaphysics. Faith is trusting in something you cannot prove.

Not All Faiths Are Equal

Not all faiths are equal. Some are much better for helping the believer to get what they want than others. Politics is largely the activity of trying to affect the faith of other persons in order to gain power for the politician. Much of so-called general education in colleges is the attempt to enlarge and control the faith of others to affect their politics.

Every charismatic political leader is adept at manipulating the faith of other people.
But to the main point of this discussion: Faith of all kinds and for all persons is built by sequences of choices. Each normal human being lives by faith in a metaphysical structure he or she has built and maintained through daily choices.

The Heart Controls Choices

I assert that each of these choices is controlled mostly by the heart and not the mind of the individual. In other words, people believe and act as they want to, and they adjust their metaphysics to justify what they want and want to do.

What is the evidence that the heart and not the mind controls a person’s metaphysics? Just watch as smokers deny that smoking is harmful. Many know the rational evidence that smoking is harmful, but because they want to smoke, they disregard that evidence and smoke anyway.

Many know that deficit spending by the government is bad for the country, but they support it anyway because they want the short-term benefit that it brings. Many know that stealing is wrong but do it anyway because they want to, etc.

What about Faith in Jesus Christ?

Now the real point of all this is that faith in Jesus Christ is not for everyone because many just do not want to be like Christ. So they do not build a metaphysics that allows Christ to redeem them.

They would rather be like the non-believers and relish their favorite sins than to repent and become a blessing to all around them as Christ is. Some don’t mind being partly like Christ, but they trust in themselves to fashion a life that brings them all the satisfactions they desire rather than the pattern of the true Christian.

So the conclusion is that many people have all the evidence they need to fashion a solid testimony that Jesus is the Christ, but have no testimony of his divinity and power simply because they do not want to live the way he commends. They build testimonies or webs of understanding to self-justify their rejection of the moral standards Christ enjoins upon his faithful followers.

Building a Testimony of Christ

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a moral test to all who hear or know it. Hearing about Christ from books or the testimonies of other humans is a partial test, but the full test comes only when the Holy Spirit bears witness to the individual that Christ is the only pattern of character which can be blessed with a fullness of knowledge and power unto all eternity, which is the only full salvation from this fallen world. As He said in the Sermon on the Mount, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man… (Matthew 7:24)” ‘les met en pratique’

The Firm Foundation Expo Highlights OCT 2022

The Firm Foundation EXPO or Book of Mormon Conference was held in Salt Lake City on October 20th through the 22nd, 2022. Over the three-day period, there were over six thousand visitors, many of them attending the entire event. It was wonderful to see so many dear friends. In the following, I share with you some of the conference highlights.

There were 124 talks over five sessions, and many them outstanding and on new material. They listed my talks as “Game Changer.” They were received well.

Tim Ballard

Tim Ballard’s address was the high point of the conference. He has done more than any other person on the planet to stop human trafficking, which is the fastest-growing criminal activity and involves many of the elite.

Ballard’s Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) movement is having great success. Tim is undoubtedly guided and protected by the Lord in this monumental effort.

I had a fun visit with a gentleman dressed up as Abe Lincoln. I shared with him and my publisher, Boyd Tuttle, of Digital Legend, some interesting facts in Tim Ballard’s book, “The Lincoln Hypothesis”.  When Lincoln took his second inaugural oath of office, he put his hand on the scripture in Isaiah describing the American Civil War. Tim points out that Lincoln came across this scripture in the Book of Mormon after he had checked it out from the Library of Congress. This scripture is also in the Book of Mormon which was taken from the Brass Plates. I encourage you to read Ballard’s book.

Philip Beale

Philip Beale from the UK spoke of the amazing journey from Tunisia in the Mediterranean to  Florida in the United States by way of a replica of an ancient Phoenician ship. Beale, is a British sailor, adventurer, expedition leader, and entrepreneur. He has undertaken many sea-faring journeys, proving that ships as early as 825 BC have sailed great distances.

The Phoenicians were an ancient Mediterranean civilization that prospered from 1500BC to 300BC. On September 28, 2019, Beal launched the replica of an ancient Phoenician sailing vessel. “The Phoenicia”, a reconstruction of a 6th century B.C. wooden sailing ship. It traveled from Carthage Tunisia to Spain, Morocco, the Canary Islands, and the Dominican Republic before finally arriving in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in February 2020.

Philip Beale has written a book, Atlantic B.C., documenting the Phoenicia adventure. One of the purposes of this amazing voyage was to illustrate that the Phoenicians could have crossed the Atlantic Ocean long before Christopher Columbus. There is no reason “Not To Believe” that Lehi and his family crossed the “great deep” in 592 BC to the promised land in America.

Speaker David Doane, a Jewish convert and a friend of mine, has evidence that the Phoenicians brought Mulek’s family to Zarahemla. The words, Zarahemla and Sidon are Phoenician words. Sidon is the original name of the Mississippi River.

At present, Wayne May has found evidence of a temple near Montrose, Iowa, which is exactly straight across the Mississippi River from the Nauvoo Temple. In D&C 125:3 the Lord told Joseph Smith to name a city “opposite the city of Nauvoo” Zarahemla.

Friday evening of the conference, there was an award ceremony for Philip and a fundraising dinner. The dinner was to raise money to help put the “Phoenicia” in a museum at Montrose, Iowa, commemorating this amazing voyage. The picture above is of Boyd Tuttle on the right with Philip Beale on the left holding the actual flag that flew on the “Phoenicia”–crossing the Atlantic. Boyd gave the award to Philip and a picture of Philip’s book is displayed in front of them.

Available Books

Book publisher, Boyd Tuttle, had a booth where all of Digital Legend’s books could be purchased. I am fortunate enough to have both of my books, “It’s About Time” and “Time and Eternity, the End-Times and Beyond Revealed” published by Digital Legend.

Boyd’s best-seller was the Annotated Edition of The New Testament of Jesus Christ*The Joseph Smith Translation*1867 FIRST EDITION. The editors are David Hocking and Shawn Hugh. Both editors were there to sign purchased editions. They sold a large number of this great contribution.

David Hocking is a dear friend. Because of his great contributions and the importance of the information, I offered to help him with the editing. He included one of my slides on page 144 of this edition, which explains the FIRST-LAST … LAST-FIRST chiasm and its great relevance for our day.

Previously, David and Rod Meldrum did the Annotated Edition of the Book of Mormon, and for me, it is the best book on the planet to bring people to Christ and to understand where the Book of Mormon took place. Some people say it doesn’t matter, but the Lord says it matters greatly(Ether 2:7-12).

Time and Eternity

I was pleased with the sales for my new book, “Time & Eternity”. Several people preordered it and many had me sign their copy.

One gentleman stood up after my presentation on Friday, holding my book, “It’s About Time”, and said it was the best book he has ever read. Another fellow and his wife talked to me at length saying, he listens to the audio version of “It’s About Time” every night and then he shares the information with his family.

Boyd Tuttle, my publisher, provided a “conference-steal-of-a-deal” price at the conference. The offer included 3 books for $40.00. It comprised of both of my books, “It’s About Time”,  “Time and Eternity,” and  “Think Independently”, by Chauncey Riddle.

Our Need To Repent

The United States of America is the “Promised land” spoken of in the Book of Mormon with the clear message that if we don’t repent we will be destroyed (Cut-off) at His Coming. We cannot say we didn’t know this was the “Promise land” spoken of. We live in a wonderful age where there is so much information available that they will not be able to say, “We did not know.”

The Prophets have spoken and an astounding amount of evidence is available, as is so clearly laid out in conferences such as The Firm Foundation EXPO. There are powerful books available, such as David Hocking’s and Rod Meldrum’s Annotated Edition of the Book of Mormon. There is access to many online blogs supporting important subjects, such as one of my articles linked above, “Where the Book of Mormon Took Place”.

What I Didn’t Hear At General Conference

In this Conference, I only remember hearing the “infinite atonement” mentioned once in passing, while it is the central message of the Book of Mormon. I heard “atoning sacrifice” mentioned several times in prayers. However, the “atoning sacrifice” misses His glorious resurrection, which is the capstone of the “infinite atonement” that the Bible (1 Corinthians 15:12-23) and the Book of Mormon so beautifully teach. It is the glorious resurrection that brings us back into the presence of God; without it, we are in Satan’s grasp.

Unfortunately, the phrase “atoning sacrifice” has crept in and now occurs commonly in Mormon vocabulary, as it did in this conference, and misses the seven profound steps in the infinite atonement. The phrase “atoning sacrifice” has also been inappropriately used in chapter headings in our scriptures. In reality, it only occurs once appropriately in the Doctrine and Covenants Section 138, in Joseph F. Smith’s vision of the gospel being preached in the spirit world. Yet, we hear “atoning sacrifice” often without any mention of His glorious resurrection, which is the capstone to the infinite atonement.

In its grandeur, the “infinite atonement” perfectly covers both the physical and spiritual deaths brought about by the fall of Adam and Eve. Because of the infinite atonement, all will be resurrected, and all are given the opportunity for eternal life as we come unto Him who is the way and the truth and the life. (John 14:6) [My bold]

The saints in the primitive church called Jesus “The Way” and His church “The Way”. The Christian movement was known as “The Way.”  In General Conference, Elder Jonathan S. Schmitt talked about the many names of Jesus. He missed this one in his talk—“The Way.” I realize most don’t know about “The Way,” unless they have studied the primitive Church of Christ: The famous Historian Flavius Josephus a converted Jew, and a Roman citizen found “The Way” and served as a bishop in Jerusalem.

The Creation and Evolution Conflict

The prophets and missionaries in the Book of Mormon had great success, and they shared the creation, the fall, and the atonement in their preaching. Today, the world’s morality is spiraling down and atheism is spiraling up in large measure because of the Darwinian evolutionary theory.

Now, most scientists believe the Bible story of the creation and the fall of Adam and Eve are a myth. Nephi (1 Nephi 13:38-41) and Joseph in Egypt (2 Nephi 3:11) prophesied this would happen and the Book of Mormon would prove the Bible true. I am pleased that LDS Living picked up on this important message as well.

My own alma mater BYU, a Church school, has a permanent display in their Bean Museum of the evolution of man because the theory of evolution is taught at this university. BYU Studies, in doing a special issue on “Evolution and Faith,” asked for articles to be submitted on the subject. I submitted an article defending “Creation”. However, my abstract was rejected because I would not allow Darwinian theory to be a possibility for the faithful to believe.

One of the best classes I have ever had was from BYU Professor Chauncey C. Riddle on “Philosophy and Religion.” There I learned, as taught in the Book of Mormon, that the organic evolution of humankind cannot be true.  I have learned since that scientific data also proves Darwin’s theory is not true.  If there is no fall of Adam and Eve, then there is no need for atonement to overcome the effects of the fall; therefore, organic evolution is anti-Christ. World morality is spiraling down and atheism is spiraling up in large measure because of the Darwinian evolutionary false model for the origin of humankind.

Secular Influence on Education

We have recently seen a significant moral decay in our educational institutions.  Many of the teachers have become secular in their approach to the students. This problem is all too common for most universities and BYU is no exception. We have many students going in as believers and coming out as atheists.

Scientists use the five senses to ascertain the truth, as best they can. But God has given us six senses, and the secular influence of the world has chosen to turn off the sixth sense, which is one of the main reasons for the moral decay we see in the world.

President Nelson showed a film clip of the Savior coming to America. For me, it clearly showed the secular influence of the people in the BYU film department, who probably prepared the film. The clip subtly depicted that this event took place in Mesoamerica. One can prove the Mesoamerica theory false, and the event should have been depicted in the Heartland setting of America. as the prophets have testified.

There were other errors in the clip. From the Old Testament, we learn that temples had ramps for priests and not steps. In this film, we see steps for the temple depicted. The robe they have Jesus wearing has an open back, which is clearly not Hebrew.

There are many clues in the Book of Mormon itself that the events of the book took place in North America rather than Mesoamerica. The above quote from Elder L. Tom Perry (Ensign, Dec. 2012, 29) the secular folks chose to ignore along with those from several other prophets. The secular folks need to turn back to the God of “this land,” who is Jesus Christ, and repent, or they will be “swept off.” It is the “everlasting decree” of God. (Ether 2:8-12)

There are 29 occurrences of “this land” in the Book of Mormon—referring to North America, where both the Jaredites and Nephites inhabited until they were destroyed in civil conflict. That geography is validated by prophets and by data, as shared again in this link, which is ignored or denied by those of a secular bent.

It is of paramount importance that the people of “this land” repent. Fortunately, I see evidence of many Christians, outside of our faith waking up to help themselves, and those who are willing, to repent and come to Christ.

I Didn’t Hear of Secret Combinations

The Prophet Moroni, who saw our day more clearly than any other prophet, records how both the Jaredite and Nephite nations were destroyed by secret combinations. He then warns us, “…O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you… the Lord commandeth you when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation… [they seek] to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies;” (Ether 8:23-26)

Anatoliy Golitsyn in his book, New Lies for Old, tells how the communists use “disinformation strategy,” to tell you something, which is a lie but makes you believe it is true to take your mind in the direction they want. The global elite is doing the same thing now. They often use philanthropy to appear that they are good, when in fact their evil intentions are exactly as Moroni far warned. Blatant examples are 9/11, COVID, and the global elite wanting to vaccinate everyone with a malfeasant vaccine, as part of their depopulation strategy. It is critical that we be “awake” to their deceitful plans.

Love – The First Law of Heaven

Since President Nelson has become the President, we have heard much about the “covenant path.” One of the grand ironies of God’s perfect plan of happiness is that we are all different, but through Christ, we can be ONE—each of us using our own individual time and talents with the Spirit to guide us to fulfill our personal missions in mortality.

We should be looking forward to helping build a Zion society (1 Nephi 13:37)—the pure in heart, where we will be of one mind and one heart. Jesus prayed for it as recorded in John 17, and it was fulfilled for the Nephites, as described in Third Nephi Chapter 19. The Lord says, “Behold, this I have given unto you as a parable, and it is even as I am. I say unto you, be one, and if ye are not one ye are not mine.” (D&C 38:28) I was delighted that this scripture was quoted in Conference.

For me, the “covenant path” helps me in my desire to live the First Law of Heaven, in which Jesus says on it “hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matt. 22:36-40) In Chapter 4 of my book, It’s About Time, I use a logical proof applied to John Chapter 14, as follows: if A implies B, and B implies A, then A and B are equivalent. Verse 15: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Verse 21: “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he is that loveth me:” So we see here a celestial definition of obedience. We obey because we love the Lord and want to please him. This is far above doing it out of duty, which is the typical kind of obedience practiced.

Vanity and Unbelief

I prepared a blog article on why some people are leaving the Church. In it, I quote the scripture where the Lord says the Church is under condemnation because of “vanity and unbelief” and for treating “lightly” the “Book of Mormon.” I was in an earlier General Conference when I heard President Benson say, that “condemnation” had not been lifted. And it is exactly as the Lord said, “And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them…” (D&C 84:54-58)

I believe the Lord wants the world to hear the marvelous message of the Book of Mormon, to come to Christ, as part of the great gathering. As He sets His hand again a second time, and as the FIRST becomes the LAST, in preparation for His Coming, it’s time for self-reflection on where we are. We live in the most exciting time in the history of the world. As Alma counseled his son, Helaman, “Look to God and live.” (Alma 37:47).

I want all to know that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s Church. It was set up by Him as a vehicle to bring us to Christ and to prepare for His coming. Let us all repent and come unto Him through deep personal study, understanding of correct doctrine, and personal revelation.

Daniel prophesied that His latter-day kingdom would “stand forever.” (Dan. 2:44)
However, it is like Zenos prophesies in his allegory (Jacob 5:66), there is some pruning to be done.
