Know The Truth Experiment

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him (John 7:16-18).

The Key To Knowing Truth

In the above scripture, Jesus gives us the key to knowing the truth, “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the [teaching], whether it be of God…” Then coming to know by doing that [teaching], that person will seek God’s “glory… and no unrighteousness is in him.”

I have known many great scientists in my day, and some of them are humble. It is my observation that they are contributors to truth without ego. Working with them has been one of the great joys in my life. McKay Allred, humorously, told me one time, “If you don’t worry about who gets the credit, you can get a lot done!” He got a lot done.

The above scripture (John 7:16-18) has great meaning for me. Using all six senses and “doing His will” opened the door for me to come to know the Father and the Son, which is eternal life, the greatest of all the gifts of God (John 17:3; D&C 14:7). The Father and the Son love us with infinite love, which we cannot comprehend. The Savior perfected Heavenly Father’s perfect plan of happiness with the seven steps of His infinite atonement.

In contrast to doing “His will,” I have learned that Satan’s tools to get us to do otherwise are disobedience to His teachings and false traditions or teachings that the devil has introduced over time, as the great deceiver (D&C 93:39). Beautifully, the Savior has said, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12)—to counter Satan’s seditious tactics.

Know the Truth and The Truth Will Make You Free

Because I know Satan is doing this, I have learned to examine, as best I can, every teaching or tradition in the light of truth. “Light and truth forsake the evil one” (D&C 93:37). “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free… If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:32, 36). Thus, the Savior will help us be both free of sin through His grace and help us be free of false teachings.

True or False?

While we can come to know the Father’s teachings are true by doing “His will” (John 7:17-19), in general, we cannot know if a teaching, hypothesis, or theory is true or false. We don’t know enough; only God knows enough. But, we have a very powerful tool that we can use: if we have valid falsification data, we can prove the teaching, hypothesis, or theory false. This then allows us to move away from that satanic and deceptive falsification toward the truth.

Here are a few extremely important examples: organic evolution and the big bang theories are pervasive and have led many to atheism. They have been proven false.

There is some confusion within my church as to the geography of the Book of Mormon. Many say, it doesn’t matter, but the Lord says it matters greatly, and I give proof from God’s word for the proper geography where the Book of Mormon took place, which restores faith and removes confusion.

The teaching that the only solution to the COVID-19 pandemic is vaccination, as promulgated by the elite globalists, has been proven false; many cures have been found.  If we treasure up His word, we have His profound promise that we will not be deceived (JS-M 37).

False teaching that has crept in about the Infinite Atonement

One very important false teaching that has crept in over time is that the seventh step and the capstone to the infinite atonement have lost their significance. For example, Christmas is more important than Easter for most Christians. Indeed, it is wonderful to celebrate His birth and the spirit of giving and beautiful music that goes with that holiday, but His life, teachings, and His infinite atonement are what brought perfection to Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness. Of course, He had to be born–and became the “only begotten” of the Father. All of these we should celebrate year round and especially on Easter. The early Christians reveled in “He is risen,” and with rejoicing, they did their utmost to share His glorious resurrection with the whole world along with His precious teachings–the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Most Christians look to the cross of Jesus and his blood for redemption and miss the extremely important teaching that it is His resurrection that brings us back into the presence of God (2 Nephi 9:6-8; Alma 42:23). Within my own church I often hear people express gratitude for His atoning sacrifice—not giving attention to the capstone to the infinite atonement, which finally includes the glorious resurrection of the earth as it becomes celestialized after the millennium, as I discuss in detail in my new book: TIME & ETERNITY, THE END-TIMES AND BEYOND REVEALED.

The Importance of His Resurrection

I was invited to participate in a podcast with Rod Meldrum explaining more of the infinite atonement, and the great importance of the resurrection as part of the infinite atonement:

After His resurrection, the saints saw Him for forty days, and He was “speaking of things pertaining to the Kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3). Yet, essentially none of that is in our New Testament. Hugh Nibley gave a two-hour lecture from apocryphal literature about what was shared, and it included the importance of temples, eternal families, and that to “fulfill all righteousness” Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. The family unit is the most important unit in time and eternity, and this most fundamental doctrine is missed in Christianity.

I find it fascinating that after He was resurrected, He first appeared to His wife, Mary Magdalene. Her heart went from the depths of deepest despair to beyond anything we can imagine in her height of ecstasy as He appeared to her, and said, “Mary!” In the New English version of the Bible, we read this glorious description, “She turned to Him and said, ‘Rabbuni!’ [And then she ran and embraced Him.] Jesus said, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am now ascending to my Father and your Father, my God, and your God” (John 20:15-17, NEB).

This scripture totally refutes the creeds in which most Christians believe, while affirming what the Apostle Paul later taught (Acts 17:29), that we are the offspring of God. This scripture further teaches us that Jesus is not only the “firstborn,” of the spirit offspring of our Heavenly Parents but also the “Only Begotten,” of the Father (Luke 1:35).

The true nature of God and the great significance of the infinite atonement were lost from Christianity during the dark ages. How blessed we are to have these wonderful truths restored as prophesied by the Apostles Peter and Paul (Acts 3:19-21; Eph. 1:10).

Finding Truths to Validate the Bible

Both the Prophet Nephi and Joseph in Egypt prophesied that there would come a day when the Bible would be disbelieved and the Book of Mormon would prove it true (1 Nephi 13:37; 2 Nephi 3:11). We are there; a recent survey showed that over 90% of the leading American scientists believe the Bible is a myth.

I believe the Lord has guided me to find 1,800 unusual phrasings in our scriptures that led me to the hypothesis that these had their origin in the Adamic language. I found a way to test this hypothesis and got 100% confirmation. The distribution of these 1,800 data points, as they are, proves the validity of the Bible and our scriptures. For them to be distributed as they are is humanly impossible and shows directly the fingerprint of the Lord authenticating these sacred writings.

I am pleased that LDS Living also published an article I submitted about this important message of the validation of God’s word.

The Grand Epiphany

The fourteen-year-old Joseph Smith, Jr. experimented to find the truth after reading James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” It touched his heart, and he had the total assurance that the Lord would answer his prayer.

His grand epiphany opened up the dispensation of the fullness of times, as the Father and the Son visited him to give the world a true understanding of the nature of the Godhead and the beginning of the restitution of all things and the opening up the “Dispensation of the Fullness of Times,” as prophesied by Paul and Peter, as mentioned before (Eph. 1:10; Acts 3:19-21).

So important was this event that my late friend, Dr. John Pratt, the best expert on Enoch’s calendar found the date, 26 March 1820, as foretold by Enoch.

Truths Open Before Us

My hope and prayer are that you will find joy in your journey as you join me as we continue to experiment on God’s word with an unlimited set of exciting truths open before us. And He has guaranteed that if you live the teaching that comes to you from Christ, you will come to know it is true and it will be sweet to your soul.

Avoiding false traditions and teachings helps bring love and joy to the soul as well. Test any question against God’s word. Know that Matthew 7:7-8 is a law of heaven. Use it to know!
