Saving Our Nation Through Prayer

Prayer, as our communication opportunity with God, includes requests for heavenly intervention, as we face life’s challenges.  Based on God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, we have hope in the preservation of this county — our nation under God. It reads: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their [sinful] ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The future of our nation is in the hands of righteous, prayerful citizens, as well as millions across the globe, who have great respect for “The Land of the Free.”  God will hear their prayers.  Contrary to the belief of most politicians, they are not the ultimate solution to the world’s problems.  Electing righteous leaders is key, but God ultimately is in control.

On the 26th of September (2020) Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic Jew and author of  The Harbinger, conducted a prophetic day of national and international prayer at the Washington D.C. Mall, as the last chance to save this nation based upon God’s promise.  There was a great outpouring of God’s Spirit as thousands attended the event in person and millions joined in prayer by way of live streaming.  On that day, I focused my faith and prayers for this nation as I listened live.

President Russell M. Ballard, at the General Conference (4 Oct. 2020) reached out to the world in a powerful plea to “Watch Ye, Therefore, and Pray Always.”    President Ballard said we are at a crossroads.  In a previous blog post, in detail, I discussed:  Our Nation is at a Crossroads!
