Ojibwe Native American Outreach Conference

The Book of Mormon and Ojibwe Outreach Conference will be 20-21 September 2024 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Below, you can see the list of excellent speakers on Friday. On Saturday, Chief Midegah (David Taylor) has organized an excellent and exciting set of presentations. I believe this will be a groundbreaking conference, and it is available for free to the attendees and to the world. Streaming is available.

David Taylor has transferred his LDS membership to Ottawa and has an excellent relationship with his Bishop and Stake President. He has a temple recommend.
The Rabbi, who will be speaking at the conference, has helped David identify one of the Books of Moses in the Ojibwa birch bark scrolls. They will be sharing this and a lot more. David knows more about the Native American’s history in the Americas than anyone I have ever met or known.

The conference at the Wisconsin venue is full. However, the conference will be streamed from several locations.  YouTube also offers several opportunities to see the conference.  The following links are four podcast channels that will be covering the conference. They have a combined following of about 35,000 viewers.

The Land Of Promise Testified

The Land of Promise is testified by modern scripture, by the DNA of the North American Indians, by glottology (the study of languages), and by artifacts and archeology. The oral histories of native Americans and the living voices of the North American Indians also testify that the Promised Land of the Book of Mormon is not in Central or South America.

Book of Mormon Conferences

About 12 years ago, Rod Meldrum of “Book of Mormon Evidence” began to offer Conferences that supported the thesis that the Book of Mormon peoples resided in the “Heartland” of America” rather than in South America. Since then, there has been more and more evidence to support the claim that Lehi and his family came from Israel to the North American Continent. Duane Erickson, Wayne May, Steve Smoot, Jonathan Neville and several others have contributed significantly to this knowledge base.

Recently, “The Land of Promise” Conference was held last week on June 21-22, 2024 in Spanish Fork Utah. All conference speakers supported the thesis that the Book of Mormon events took place in Israel and the North American Continent. I’m guessing about 900 people were attending the conference. There were 15 Individual speakers over the two days.

Special Guest Chief Midegah

Wayne May, the conference founder and organizer, was able to obtain a last-minute special guest to speak at the conference. It was Chief Midegah from the Ojibwe tribe. He came to the forefront about a month ago when my good friends, Brian Nettles, David Hocking, Kristen Watts, and I had the opportunity to interview Chief Midegah on YouTube. The exposure created a whirlwind. Several other YouTube hosts were anxious to interview Chief Midegah also.
Within a week, there were over a hundred thousand visits to various YouTube sites. His information has taken YouTube by storm. Chief Midegah is a Chief to be reckoned with. Details about his background and credentials can be found on the Book of Mormon Heartland website.

Conference Speakers

Chief Midegah gave two lectures at the conference sharing tons of fascinating information about native American history. He was the main drawing card for the conference. All of the conference lectures were excellent.

It was wonderful to meet the chief personally. Wayne May took this picture of us, and the Chief said to me, “David and David;” His name is David Taylor.

My good friend and researcher, Utahna Jessop, spoke about the Jaredite giants in North America. She recently found Jaredite burials near Kanab, Utah. She shared some new additional information. It was fascinating.

John Brewer kept a journal, and Utahna followed his research in detail.  She has done a great job in documenting his findings in the cave that he found in Manti, Utah. When he found the cave, he was visited by an angel by the name of Ether who told him to protect his findings and do nothing for monetary gain. For those who may not be familiar with the Book of Mormon, Ether was the last prophet before the Jaredite nation was destroyed in a massive civil war around 600 B.C. ending near the Hill Cumorah in upstate New York.

I told Utahna that her findings were “pure gold.” She has an excellent DVD telling of her additional research. Some of her lectures are available on YouTube. She is a dear friend of ours and has permitted me to share her phone number (801) 717-6295 if you wish to get a DVD of her lecture from her directly.

Highlights of My Conference Address

1. Since the conference was held close to the date and time of the summer solstice (2051 UTC, 20 June 2024) and we had a full moon, I pointed out to the audience that makes the moon’s orbit the lowest while the sun’s orbit is the highest for us north of the “Tropic of Cancer.” The opposite is true for those south of the “Tropic of Capricorn.”

2. I pointed out that the great Jaredite prophet, Mahonri Moriancumer, saw the end from the beginning in his comprehensive vision. As a result, the Jaredites knew the phases of the moon, and they mapped out the plan of salvation in the majestic earthworks near Newark, Ohio. They knew, as part of his vision, that the moon would be in the position of the divine ratio—lined up with the millennium and celestial kingdom at the date and time of Savior’s birth.

3. The printing of the Book of Mormon was a major compressed-time miracle. It should have taken at least 17 ½ months to print and bind 5,000 copies, but it was done in the Lord’s compressed-time frame of just over 6 months. In addition, the Lord revealed to me that He had Joseph Smith print them so that the height by width was in the Divine ratio—a unique feature. Both of these are Divine “fingerprints” of the Lord’s doings with the coming forth of that great book and made Utah a state around that book.

4. The Lord has blessed me greatly because as a praying physicist I have chosen to do things His way rather than my way. I shared how He has made my name and work famous in the precise timing, navigation, and telecom communities. Now because He has done that for me, I am able to share the gospel across the globe. My book’s website, www.ItsAboutTimeBook.com, has well over 200 thousand visits from over 100 nations. And its popularity is ever-increasing regardless of whether I am alive or dead! If you Google “Allan variance,” you will get over three million results, and its usefulness continues to grow. THANK YOU, LORD!

Once the Lord taught me that the original copies of the Book of Mormon were printed in the Divine ratio. I had my next book (2023), Time & Eternity, The End-Times & Beyond Revealed, printed in the Divine ratio in honor of those first 5,000 copies.

5. From the scriptures, I shared that the first law of heaven is LOVE. And that celestial love is equivalent to celestial obedience because we do things to please the Lord. That takes obedience out of the “do your duty” level to the joy of bringing honor and glory to the Lord. As we do things with an “eye single” to His glory, the joy in our hearts follows. If everyone were to live the Law of Love, it would solve all the world’s problems. We would have an ideal pure-in-heart ZION society where we are all of one heart are one mind. And there would be no poor among us.

6. There are 1,800 phrases in our scriptures that tie back to the language of Adam. Their distribution and use in both the eastern and western hemispheres and over the history of the earth give pure Divine validity to our scriptures. True science harmonizes with true religion, which is a fundamental message of my book, It’s About Time.

7. In my search for truth, I have three criteria: 1) If God says it, then I know it; 2) We cannot prove a theory true, we don’t know enough, only God knows enough; but 3) If we have reliable data, we can prove a theory false. The theory of organic evolution and the big bang theory have been proven false, and the world chooses to ignore those proofs. I examine the two theories for Book of Mormon geography: Heartland and Mesoamerica. I share nine proofs that the Mesoamerica theory is false, and I share the words from the prophets that the Heartland model is correct.

8. The Lord gives us signs in the heavens. There were three recent solar eclipses over the USA making alpha and omega over the “Land of Promise.” Also, I share the Lord’s sign in the heavens on the 23rd of September 2017 of His promise to bring forth Zion in preparation for His coming—as promised in Revelations Chapter 12.

9. The story of Vinney Tolman happened in 2003 in Orem, Utah. It was a remarkable Lazurus experience for Vinney because he died and was put in a body bag. The Spirit whispered to the EMT attending, “This man is not dead!” He took action and brought him back from the dead. While across the veil, Vinney was taught ten celestial principles by his great-great-great grandfather, as he moved ever closer to the LIGHT:
1. Be authentic.
2. Understand the purpose of life. Life is not a test, but a grand opportunity to learn the truth.
3. Love everyone. God’s main motivation is to love; His creations and our lives are a direct manifestation of His infinite love.
4. Listen to your inner voice. (See Moroni 7:29-31)
5. Use technology responsibly. Many are addicted to technology–their cell phones, e.g.
6. Release prejudice. There is no prejudice in heaven.
7. Exercise the power of creation. Our Creator made us to be creators.
8. Avoid negative influences.
9. Understand the purpose of evil. All the evil in the world has caused many to turn to atheism or agnosticism because they don’t understand. (Read Chapter 2 of It’s About Time to get a full understanding.
10. Know that we are all one. The Savior prayed for us to be one (John 17), and it was brought to beautiful fruition here in the Land of Promise (Read Third Nephi 19).

September Conference in Fond Du Lac Wisconsin

Brian Nettles has organized a conference this September in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, and attendance is already sold out. He has opened up Saturday to Chief Midegah. The Chief is bringing two Rabbis and five other Native American friends. They will be sharing their Ojibwe Outreach historical information. On Friday, Brian has several other notable speakers on the Book of Mormon. It should be a fascinating conference.

Available Presentation Material

I have given countless lectures over my career path, and I believe this one had more impact on the audience than any I have ever given. Over the months of preparation, I asked the Lord, “Thou knowest who will be there, and I don’t. Will you help me prepare to best help them?” And the Lord answered my prayer. I got a standing ovation at the end, and 30 people asked for copies of my slides.

For those who couldn’t attend the conference, a view of the slides of my lecture are available. They are quite detailed since I had to go quickly over the material in the 50 minutes allotted to me. Simply click: David Allan Spanish Fork Conference.

Gold in LAND OF PROMISE Magazine

This issue alone of the magazine shares (Vol. 2, No. 5, Mch. 2024): The Tribe of Zebulun is in North America; The Book of Mormon cure for artificial intelligence having no soul—avoiding AI’s negative impact; 1,800 Adamic phrases validating the scriptures; and much, much more. You can order the magazine by calling (715) 962-1422. And you can order back issues, which are loaded with good information as well. The maps and picture quality of this magazine are awesome.

Ojibwe Native Americans are of the Tribe of Zebulun

On pages 44-47 of this issue of LAND OF PROMISE, Uncovering Ancient America, Wayne May shares that Brian Outinen contacted him to tell his story. Brian lives in Canada and is an Ojibwe Native American. In this issue, Brian shares his belief that they are of the Tribe of Zebulun. Their tradition is that they came from the East. They have maps telling their story. They came from the Orkney Islands off the coast of Scotland to the St. Lawrence River.

It is fascinating when you think of Brian’s story in conjunction with Jacob’s (Israel) blessing to his son Zebulun: “Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea, and he shall be for a haven of ships, and his border shall be unto Zidon.” (Genesis 49:13) The Ojibwe DNA ties to Israel as well. The Ojibwe language has significant similarities to Semitic languages. Their calendar is similar to the Enoch calendar.

Correlation does not provide validation, but the DNA tells us the story. Glottology (the history or science of language) also tells us the true story. This is fascinating information, Brother Wayne May. Thanks for sharing.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has no Soul.

Also, in this issue of LAND OF PROMISE, Uncovering Ancient America, Magazine, (Vol. 2, No. 5, Mar 2024) Jeff Downs opens with an article: “ARTIFICIAL Intelligence and the Very REAL Book of Mormon.” Brother Downs’, well-written article using no AI software, makes some extremely useful points. He tells of his son’s friend using his smartphone and AI to prepare his talk for church, which included a testimony. This he did in seconds. With no additional effort on his friend’s part, his friend read the whole talk from his smartphone. His soulless talk felt that way. It had no soul.

Life is a grand opportunity for growth without AI. Looking at what Joseph Smith accomplished in his short 38 ½ years is astounding. The Lord fully used Joseph Smith’s incredible mind with the help of the Urim and Thummim to perform the miraculous translation of the Book of Mormon. It is estimated that he did twenty words a minute over about 65 days from these ancient unknown languages. TOTALLY MIRACULOUS.

In the infinite love of our Lord, He has given us a virtual Urim and Thummim, as His angels are ever there to teach us His will (2 Nephi 32: 3-5). This virtual Urim and Thummim is much better than AI will ever be! But, we need to do our part of spiritual work and preparation. The Lord promises that as we do this spiritual WORK, we will hear the “still small voice (1 Kings 19:11-12).” Joseph taught us that faith is a principle of action. It takes effort to grow our faith. Just like being a concert pianist takes hours and years of practice. My personal joke is that I try to learn faster than I forget. Soulless AI can get in the way unless we use it wisely.

Mountains are Moved by Faith; not by AI

The Lord gave Immaculée Ilibagiza an amazing insight. She was hiding for her life in a tiny bathroom for 91 days with seven other ladies. She was struggling with her faith and praying to the Lord with a mighty heartfelt prayer. The Lord told her, “Mountains are moved with faith, Immaculée, but if faith were easy, all the mountains would be gone. Trust in me, and know that I will never leave you. Trust in me, and have no more fear. Trust in me, and I will save you. I shall put my cross upon the door, and they will not reach you. Trust in me, and you shall live.”

AI is Both Good and Bad

AI is both good and bad. It is an incredibly powerful tool. Now AI is being used by the global elite to take away our freedoms.  They are atheists and see AI becoming dominant over humans and would “be the next stage of evolution.” They miss who is really and lovingly in charge of the Universe. They are about “profit and power,” as Moroni prophesied (Ether 8:15-26). The quotes in this paragraph are taken from the 11 March 2024 Bloomberg Business Week telling of “Musk takes OpenAI to Court.” The trillionaires are fighting about who gets the most power and gain using AI.

On the good side, our son, Nathan, is a computer architect. He uses AI for those mundane but useful computer tasks that he can build upon in designing computation systems. For him, AI is a very powerful and efficient tool. I have a similar story when I went to work at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) in 1960. Digital computers were not available. We used analog computers back then. We designed a very effective and precise timing system using an analog computer. We then brought it into reality to generate time for the nation. and https://tf.nist.gov/general/pdf/180.pdf.

At the Bureau, we bought our first digital computer in 1968 for timekeeping—a PDP-8S with 5k of memory! The Lord inspired me to write the digital AT-1 timescale algorithm. It optimally combines the readings of an ensemble of atomic clocks and keeps time for the nation. During each measurement cycle, the algorithm asks the question of each clock regarding its performance. The algorithm then optimally adjusts the weight of each clock for generating time. With significant improvements by my outstanding colleagues, AT-1 is still being used today to help generate official time for the USA. It is effectively using AI-like optimization for the timekeeping output.

A very popular artificial intelligence (AI) software is ChatGPT. I asked our son, Nathan, to ask ChatGPT the following question: “What language did Joseph Smith translate the Book of Mormon from?” It gave us this very secular answer: “Joseph Smith reported that he translated the Book of Mormon from a language called ‘Reformed Egyptian’ by the use of seer stones or the Urim and Thummim, according to the accounts related to the origin of the book in the Latter Day Saint movement.” Clearly, AI has no soul and lacks important linguistic and spiritual sensitivity.

Regarding the same question, consider the soul and linguistic capabilities of the late Professor Felix Mijnhardt. He was an incredibly gifted linguist and God-fearing as well. He knew eighty languages! I would call him the most gifted glottologist that I have ever heard of. As a gifted linguist, he was asked to translate the Book of Mormon into Africans. When he got the book, he immediately recognized that it was translated from another language. He deduced that it was translated from ancient Eqyptian with Hebrew nouns added, and he knew that it was scripture. He taught linguistics at Pretoria University. He tried to get his university and his church to accept the Book of Mormon as scripture. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church; his outstanding ontological skills brought him to know the Book of Mormon was true. Not surprisingly, they both declined.

1,800 Scriptural Phrases tying back to the Language of Adam

Also, in this issue is my article, “Don’t Bypass, ‘And it came to pass.'” I thank Professor Felix Mijnhardt for leading me to this phrase. I began to study the occurrence of the phrase, “And it came to pass.” “And it came to pass,” occurs 1,523 times in the canon of LDS scriptures. When I looked at the distribution of this phrase over time and space, I deduced that it had its origin in the Adamic language. I further deduced that it tied to important historical events in God’s doings. To test this hypothesis, I decided to study the Jaredite record, since they didn’t have their language confounded. On average every other verse in the Jaredite record starts with “And it came to pass.” This clearly validated this hypothesis and the importance of this phrase.

Lee Nelson told me of the remarkable book, The Secret Doctrine of the Kabbalah; Recovering the Key to Hebraic Sacred Science by the late Professor Leonora Leet. She shows from this ancient sacred science that sounds, numeric (Gematria), and symbols all tie together.  The phrase “And it came to pass” ties to EL = God and significant past events. I had deduced that already as I looked at the distribution and use of the phrase “And it came to pass.” From the ancient Hebrew Kabbalah, she came to the same conclusion I had obtained from our LDS canon of scriptures. This was an exciting finding for me.

The phrase “And it came to pass” seems to have been lost in all modern English translations of the Bible. Seventy-six percent of the King James Bible is from the inspired translation by William Tyndale, and he preserves the phrase.

Furthermore, Professor Leet shows that the phrase “And it shall come to pass” ties to the most sacred name of God, Jehovah, and future events. “And it shall come to pass,” occurs 173 times in our LDS scriptures. When I learned this from Professor Leet, I excitedly went to our LDS scriptures and was delighted to see that all of them align with her model. Most all of them are relevant to the latter days and the Second Coming. The prophets using “and it shall come to pass” are Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Micah, Joel, Amos, Zachariah, Nephi, King Benjamin, Abinadi, Samuel the Lamanite, Jesus, Peter, Paul, Mormon, and Joseph Smith. These are – the prophets telling of the restoration in our day and the events leading up to the coming of Christ.

The most significant users of “And it shall come to Pass” are Isaiah(22), Jeremiah((7), Ezekiel(4), Hosea(3), Joel(2), Zachariah(6), Nephi(23), Abinadi(8), Jesus(7), Peter(2), Paul(1), Mormon(2), and Joseph Smith(25). They are all prophecies of our day and the Second Coming.

It is fascinating to see in the Book of Mormon, the Savior does not use the phrase “And it shall come to pass” while ministering to the Nephites (Chapters 11 – 19 of Third Nephi). But as soon as He starts prophesying of our day, (Chapters 20 onward) He uses it. We see that this perfectly aligns with Professor Leet’s model for the phrase.  All 32 Book of Mormon occurrences prophecy of our day and of the gathering of Israel – fitting her model, exactly. DIVINE DESIGN with 100% consistency. (We witness both inductive and deductive reasoning validating God’s word)

Interestingly, in the Book of Mormon, there are seven usages by the Savior of “And it shall come to pass,” as He prophesies of our day. Notice the inspired expanse of His usages of these 7 phrases.  Seven (7) is the number of perfection or completeness in God’s arithmetic.

1. 3 Nephi 20:20  And it shall come to pass… sword of my justice shall hang over… the Gentiles… except they repent;

2.  3 Nephi 20:21  And it shall come to pass that I will establish my people, O house of Israel;

3. 3 Nephi 20:23  And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that prophet [I am he] shall be cut off from among the people; [Moroni gave this prophecy to Joseph Smith saying, “…that that prophet was Christ; but the day had not yet come when ‘they who would not hear his voice should be cut off from among the people,’ but soon would come.”

4. 3 Nephi 20:30  And I will remember the covenant… gather them [to] Jerusalem… And it shall come to pass that… the fulness of my gospel shall be preached unto them;

5. 3 Nephi 21:19  And it shall come to pass that all lyings, and deceivings, and envyings, and strifes, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, shall be done away [Zion];

6. 3 Nephi 27:6    And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall bring forth unto you the words of a book… sealed… revelation… from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.

7. 3 Nephi 27:16  And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world.

In 2015, as I was re-reading the Book of Mormon, I discovered a third phrase: “And now it came to pass.” “And now it came to pass,” occurs 104 times uniquely in the Book of Mormon. These three phrases reminded me of the Lord’s definition of truth: “And truth is a knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come (D&C 93:24).”

•       And now it came to pass                  corresponds with things as they are;
•       And it came to pass                            corresponds with things as they were; and
•       And it shall come to pass                 corresponds with things as they are to come.

You will be surprised, as was I, these 1,800 phrases are a direct finger-print of the Lord. They give scientific validation of the existence of the Adamic language. They indicate a hidden book of scriptures in our scriptures preparing us for the Great Day of the Lord. [See Chapter 6 of my new book, Time & Eternity, the End-Times & Beyond Revealed] These 1,800 data points validate the Bible as prophesied by Joseph in Egypt and by Nephi (2 Nephi 3:11; 1 Nephi 13:38-41). And these three phrases harmonize all of the scriptures. That they occur as they do without Divine design and guidance has a probability of zero. I know the Lord is in the details of our lives, as He is in Holy Writ.

I am so pleased that Brother May published my article on this critically important topic for our day. As wokeism takes the masses down empty roads, this information beautifully harmonizes science and religion. Don’t Bypass “And It Came To Pass”. I am also pleased that LDS Living picked up on this valuable information.

Don’t Pass Up History Study

Why should we study history? Learning about the past provides us with the opportunity to learn about cultures, governments, social systems, and religious understanding. It gives us the opportunity to comprehend the world at large.

Unfortunately, we sometimes find history being modified to fit current biases or ignoring various important subject matter.  The bottom line is, all history can provide great lessons if we will. We need to take into account the biases and the paradigm of the historian who wrote it. Let us look at a major example, the Bible.

Great Value of Biblical History

Sir Isaac Newton, the greatest scientist in history, declared, “We account the Scriptures of God to be the most sublime philosophy. I find more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history whatever.” And he found mistakes in the Bible translations. Most people don’t know that Isaac spent more time studying religion than science, and as I share in my new book, he knew where we are in God’s timing, with his proper and inspired historical perspective. Our study of the scriptures is one of the best things we can do to come to know the author of them. He lovingly provided them for us. Accept the gift and feast upon His word.

The scriptures are given by the Spirit to the prophets. If we seek that same Spirit, the Lord  will open their true meanings appropriate to our needs. The amazing infinite depth of the scriptures allows that to be; what a wonderful gift the Lord has given in His word.

Important Histories not well known

Some history has been ignored by those who have an agenda so the full story is lost.  For instance, the Apocrypha contains a number of spiritual teachings of significant value to learn from.  These accounts were left out of the Bible because they were thought to not be sufficiently canonical and would be too costly to print. But we have them readily available now.

The Book of Jasher is an amazing book and is just one of the many books of spiritual teachings that is not included in the Bible. However, it is mentioned in the Bible because of its significance (2 Samuel 1:18; Joshua 10:13). Jasher means “the correct record,” and covers 2,500 years from Adam and Eve down to the Judges parallel to the Bible history. It is an authentication and amplification of the Bible record. It is like a second witness to the Bible’s validity. The Book of Enoch is a “gold mine” as well.

Unfortunately, we now have 93% of the leading American scientists disbelieving in the Bible. If all of the books of the Apocrypha were part of the Bible, perhaps we would not be in the “unbelieving” state we find ourselves in. In other words, reaching beyond the Bible in our religious studies can be very worth while. When the Tribes of Israel return, they will bring their records with them, and that will be exciting to learn from them.

How Can We Know the Validity of Written History?

Winston Churchill said, “History is written by the victors.” Very often the victors destroy the history of the victims or alter the history to the advantage of the “winners,” and we often miss learning from the victims. Victor Frankel and Man’s Search for Meaning is a classic example of a surviving victim.

Philip Beale is an excellent present-day historian researcher, and a remarkable ancient shipbuilder. He builds replicas of ancient ships and sails them to various locations.  His expeditions are proof of ancient Phoenician ship travels. Beale had found out from ancient records and stone writings that the Phoenicians had traveled around Africa and had crossed the Atlantic Ocean some 2,000 years before Christopher Columbus.

I just finished reading Philip Beale’s amazing book, Atlantic B. C.  His description of Columbus’ four voyages to the Caribbean raised significant questions in my mind, as to whether historians have the wrong man discovering America. Beale has researched records before the Romans made the Phoenicians the victims.

My good friend, Wayne May, asked that question in a talk I heard him give some years ago. I was impressed with his insights and wondered at the time if the world had it right by celebrating 12 October 1492 as Columbus Day. He shared the data on how John Cabot was first. I was impressed with his presentation.

I felt to call Wayne—remembering his insightful talk. We had an enjoyable visit and he told me about his new magazine, The Promised Land. He asked if I would write an article for it. He kindly sent me his power-point slides to review. Gratefully, he has given me permission to use his research, which is quite unique and thorough.

In my search for truth, which has served me well over the years, I have three basic criteria:
1.       If God says it, I know it is true. We have His promise that if we will “treasure up [His] word [we] shall not be deceived.” (JS-M 37) He is the WORD, and His words are designed in love to bring us the greatest joy in this life and a fullness of joy in the life to come. Feast upon them (2 Nephi 31:20-21) and reap the enormous blessings promised. His promises are sure.

2.       We cannot prove a theory or hypothesis true; we don’t know enough. Only God knows enough. Data correlation does not provide validation. This is a common mistake many people make. If something agrees with their paradigm then they take that as validation when it is not, and this can be and often is very misleading for many.

3.       On the other hand, if we have valid falsification data, then we can prove a theory or hypothesis false. This is a very powerful tool. Then we can move away from that falsehood and move forward in our search for truth and be not deceived by that false theory or hypothesis.

Let’s See What the Lord Says about the Discovery of America

We have in God’s word the following in First Nephi Chapter 13:

12 And I looked and beheld a man among the Gentiles, who was separated from the seed of my brethren by the many waters; and I beheld the Spirit of God, that it came down and wrought upon the man; and he went forth upon the many waters, even unto the seed of my brethren, who were in the promised land.

13 And it came to pass that I beheld the Spirit of God, that it wrought upon other Gentiles; and they went forth out of captivity, upon the many waters.

Verse 13 clearly describes the Pilgrims. Read, Tim Ballard’s Pilgrim Hypothesis to give you a good feel for that being the case.

We have an Apostle clarifying what is meant by the “Promised Land” spoken of in verse 12:
The United States is the promised land foretold in the Book of Mormon, a place where divine guidance directed inspired men to create the conditions necessary for the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ…” (Elder L. Tom Perry, The Tradition of Light and Testimony, Ensign [Dec. 2012, 29)

President Russell M. Nelson shares, “The Book of Mormon reveals the inheritance of Joseph, son of Israel, who was not forgotten when the land was distributed to the tribes of Israel. This was promised in the Abrahamic covenant. Because… Joseph’s inheritance was to be a land choice above all others. Choice because it was chosen to be the repository of sacred writing on golden plates from which the Book of Mormon would one day come. Choice because it would eventually host the world headquarters of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ in the latter days. And it was chosen because it was a land of liberty for those who worship the Lord and keep His commandments.” (Yes, Mormons are Christians, Legends Library [2017], 60)

Webster’s English Dictionary of the American Language

From Noah Webster’s famous 1828 English Dictionary of the American Language, Christopher Columbus did not discover the “Promised Land,” as we read his definition of AMERICA:

AMER’ICA, noun [from Amerigo Bespucci, a Florentine, who pretended to have first discovered the western continent.]

One of the great continents, first discovered by Sebastian Cabot, on June 11, 1498…,

From Wayne’s maps, we can see what Columbus discovered. It was not the “Promised Land” that the Lord speaks of. That which Cabot visited is.

Philip Beale’s Amazing book –  Atlantic B. C.

I have learned much from Philip Beale’s very accurate historical documentation regarding Christopher Columbus. While John Cabot fits the scriptural description, Columbus does not for two fundamental reasons: 1) He did not go to the “Promised Land,” and 2) he did not have a Christain Purpose. The Savior said, “By  their fruits, ye shall know them.” During his four voyages, he went after gold and was brutal to the natives. Bartolome’ de las Casas in his account, The Destruction of the Indies, summarised what he witnessed, writing: “Such inhumanities and barbarisms were committed in my sight as no age can parallel. My eyes have seen these acts so foreign to human nature that now I tremble as I write.” Casas wrote that across the Caribbean in total, the Spanish were responsible for the deaths of 12 to 15 million indigenous people.

His brutal behavior got back to some of his sponsors and they sent Francisco de Bobadilla as a replacement, and he was tasked to investigate the accusations. Bobadilla reported that Columbus “used torture and mutilation to govern” and his two brothers (Bartholomew and Diego) were complicit.

“Columbus had put down native revolts by ordering brutal crackdowns in which many natives were killed and their dismembered bodies were paraded through the streets to discourage further unrest.” (P199 Atlantic B. C.) Many of the natives chose suicide to avoid the brutality of Columbus’s torturous tactics. He congratulated his brother Bartholomew for “defending the family against a woman who had said Columbus was of lowly birth. She was paraded through the town and had her tongue cut out.”

Hence, we see that the theory Columbus discovered the “promised land” is proven false. He discovered the Caribbean, but that is not the America the Lord was talking about. We only need one valid falsification data set to prove a theory false. We have two, and more could be easily added.

There are those who purport that Leif Erickson, as a Norse explorer, may have been the first man spoken of in 1 Nephi 13:12 as a Christian convert, but his missionary work was mainly in Greenland. There is a question of the accuracy of the historicity of his saga. For the Lord, it is not who came first because the Jaredites, Lehites, and Mulekites came before the explorers with a Divine purpose to this “promised land.”

The Revolutionary War is a massive fulfillment of verse 18 of First Nephi Chapter 13, “And I beheld that the power of God was with them, and also that the wrath of God was upon all those that were gathered together against them to battle.” In that war, the American soldiers were outnumbered 10/1 against the greatest army in the world and won! As George Washington summarized, America won by “Divine intervention.” In the Divine details of the Lord’s workings, we have Joan of Arc giving the French back their freedom so that they could assist the Colonies in winning that war. She in turn was following a two-hundred-year-old prophecy of Merlin, who outlined her mission to bring about Frances’ freedom. I believe John the Beloved was that Prophet Merlin, and this is a beautiful detail one finds by studying the history of important significance.

Another indicator of John Cabot being the man the Lord was talking about is the floodgate that opened up following his exploration, people came from many countries in Europe—descendants of Ephraim, son of Joseph in Egypt, who were a Bible-based people. The Bible had more influence on the founding documents of the United States than any other book. Our founders gave the world the best republic-inspired US Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights with the most freedom-loving people on the earth. The United States of America provided the fertile ground for the restoration of the fullness of the gospel and for the Lord to restore His Church, as He had it anciently. America became the “Ensign” to the nations spoken of by Isaiah (Isa. 11:12; 18:3) and to take the gospel to all peoples per John’s prophecy in Revelations 14:6-7

The Phoenician Navy largest In History for nearly a Thousand Years

This piece of the world history of the Phoenician Navy is largely unknown. The Romans as the victors destroyed much of the records of the victims. Philip Beale in his amazing book, Atlantic B. C., has contributed greatly to helping the world understand this important part of world history.

Not only is Philip Beale an excellent history researcher, but he is also a most unusual ancient shipbuilder. His passion to repeat what the Phoenicians did in 600 B. C. by both going around Africa and crossing the Atlantic is totally unparalleled. Not only did he draw on the authentic technology of that epoch to build a ship, but he also pulled together the crew to do both voyages and to be their captain. His passion occupying much of his life is in large measure because he researched the Phoenician history

As I share in the following blog article, my Jewish convert friend, David Doane has evidence that the Phoenicians brought the Mulekites to Zarahemla, here in the “Promised Land.” Zarahemla is a Phoenician word, as is Sidon, which is their name for the Mississippi River. The Lord told Joseph Smith to name the city across from Nauvoo Zarahemla for good reason. (D&C 125:3). https://itsabouttimebook.com/the-firm-foundation-expo-highlights-oct-2022/

It seems that Divine Providence was moving in the desires of Philip Beale’s life to have him replicate with 600 B.C. technology the Lehites’ trip around Africa and the Mulekites’ trip across the Atlantic to the “Promise Land.” Being born in South Hampton in the UK, he knew nothing of these trips when he was moved upon to design, build, and be the Captain using this ancient technology.

It is wonderful that the LDS community is so excited about what he has accomplished that they are going to put the ship he built, called the “Phoenician,” in a special museum across from Nauvoo, ILL, close to where the Mulikites landed. How is that for Divinely orchestrated significance, and it is happening as we speak?

The Great Importance of  Knowing Book of Mormon Geography

When the Jaredites were led to the “promised Land,” just after the Tower of Babel and the confusion of tongues, the Brother of Jared was given extremely important guidance that we should internalize today in order to survive the days ahead: See Ether Chapter 2:
And the Lord would not suffer that they should stop beyond the sea in the wilderness, but he would that they should come forth even unto the land of promise, which was choice above all other lands, which the Lord God had preserved for a righteous people.

8 And he had sworn in his wrath unto the brother of Jared, that whoso should possess this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should serve him, the true and only God, or they should be swept off when the fulness of his wrath should come upon them.

9 And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of his wrath shall come upon them. And the fulness of his wrath cometh upon them when they are ripened in iniquity.

10 For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off.

11 And this cometh unto you, O ye Gentiles, that ye may know the decrees of God—that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done.

12 Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.

These historic words written 4,200 years ago have incredible significance to us today!

If North Americans in this “land of promise” chose not to repent and are destroyed, they cannot tell the Lord they didn’t know this was the “promised land.” His Word is clear and true. Let us be counted among those who “hearken to His voice” and are privileged to be with Him when He comes again.

Thank you John Corbet for listening to the Spirit and showing the way to the “Promised Land” with the enormous blessings that have come to her since your arrival in 11 June 1498.

When the Prophet Lehi arrived in the “Promised Land,” he was given a great promise by the Lord that applies to all Americans today: (See Second Nephi Chapter 1)

6 Wherefore, I, Lehi, prophesy according to the workings of the Spirit which is in me, that there shall none come into this land save they shall be brought by the hand of the Lord.

7 Wherefore, this land is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of liberty unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; for if iniquity shall abound cursed shall be the land for their sakes, but unto the righteous, it shall be blessed forever.

How do we spend our time? Rejoice in His WORD and bask in His LOVE, and share it with the world, who critically need His WORD, and to know of His LOVE. Learn the history or else!

The Fighting Preacher – Best Movie Ever

The movie “The Fighting Preacher” is one of the best movies I have ever seen – released 24 July to celebrate Pioneer Day in Utah.

How do you capture the nearly 25 years and longest mission ever served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a movie? This is a true story where the facts are so incredible T.C. Christensen made it a “TRUE STORY”.  He took the information from journals, etc., and did not have to embellish it with any extra scenes.
