In Whom Do You Trust In Times of Turbulent Changes

In times of turbulent change, we have a God who changes not, and in whom we can totally trust.  “For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said, therefore his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.” (D&C 3:2)

As we move forward in these challenging, changing times, let us look to God’s timing – knowing that we can totally trust Him.  Given all that is going on in the world, Satan will use fear, doubt, anxiety, worry about our future.  In stark contrast, we have a sure anchor in God and His timing.  His timing is all about His children, and He will orchestrate events as needed to bring about the greatest good.  Faith: It is the moving power to defy all odds because you know what God has said is TRUE.

He declares, “Behold, this is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” (Moses 1:39) The Savior further amplifies, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8).  In other words, by sharing His glorious gospel message we become true disciples and join in the Father’s work and timing to help as many as will to come back to Him and a fullness of joy – in spite of all the challenges life brings to us.  As we catch the vision that His work is “one eternal round,” we will be caught up in the glory of that vision. Let us pray that his “Will” be done.

A Fullness of Joy

In all that God does, He is motivated by His infinite love, and He will never violate our free choice (agency).  Because of His love, He asks us to be perfect like He is, because therein lies a fullness of joy, when we catch the vision.  He has given us His Precious and Beloved Son as a perfect exemplar, and to work out the perfect and infinite atonement, which brings to perfection Father’s Plan of Happiness.  In the grand irony of God’s perfect plan, the greatest agony suffered in the Savior’s atonement opened the door to the greatest happiness.  There are six scriptures that use the phrase, “one eternal round.”  I use them in this blog article to help us catch the vision of His perfect plan in the midst of the storms of life.

Prayers of the Faithful

In these challenging times, the prayers of the faithful are coming up to His throne, and He hears them and will honor them.  This 3 October 2020 Presidential election may be the most significant election in US history, as the liberty and freedom vouchsafed by our founding documents are being seriously challenged. Our prayers and repentance matter most as we focus our faith on keeping this nation free.  This Land of the Free is a major player in the vision.  As President Trump profoundly said in his closing remarks to the UN in September, “God bless America!”  Ezra’s eagle prophecy indicates Trump will be elected.

Listen to the Voice of the Lord

The best thing we can do is “Listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, the Great I AM, whose arm of mercy hath atoned for your sins.  Who will gather his people even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer.” (D&C 29:1-2)  He will help each of us in our paths and in dealing with life’s challenges if we will “Listen to the voice of the Lord your God, even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, whose course is one eternal round, the same today as yesterday, and forever.” (D&C 35:1)

“For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.” (1 Nephi 10:19)  And He is ever there to help us in our mortal journey through these challenging and changing times ahead.  He knows the future is bright, and He will reveal it to us as we ask, seek, and knock. (Matt. 7:7-8)  In the last couple of months, I have felt an increase in faith in the Lord in this country and in the world, and that increases my hope.  We have great challenges ahead, but we will see that the blessings after the storms will far out weigh anything that transpires.  TRUST IN THE LORD!

Organic Evolution – Social Evolution – Political Evolution – The Internet

We are all grateful for the Internet and the amazing communication connection it provides.  I believe that the best thing I can do is to share the message of gladness that the gospel of Jesus Christ provides, and I am grateful that the Internet is helping me do that in a major way.  However, like any tool, it can be used for good or evil.

More than a century before the Internet was invented into the amazing tool that it is, Darwin brought forth the theory of “organic evolution”, and the world applauded his genius. Based on Darwin’s work, John Wesley Powell, et. al. introduced “social evolution”, which brought about the doctrine of “manifest destiny,” and which caused the native American Indians to be treated as savages and their way of life destroyed.

Then, as history marched on, based on Powell’s and Lewis Henry Morgan’s ideas, Marx and Engels gave the world “political evolution”  the forerunner of communism and socialism.
Now, with the Internet, the prevalence of these three evolutionary theories continues to grow across the world.  We are seeing the world’s masses acceptance of the same.  Have we been globally deceived?  If so, the implications are enormous.

Our education systems and textbooks are full of these three theories, and we have seen an ever-increasing number of atheists who believe these theories, as they are increasingly propagated across the Internet.

The Truth Regarding These 3 Theories

As have I shared in a recent blog article, Americas Future At The Crossroads.  Scientists know that you cannot prove a theory true!  But, you can prove a theory false, if you have reliable falsification data!  Knowing something is false helps us avoid the deceit therein.  Only God knows everything, and the only way we can know something is true is if He tells us, because He cannot lie.  Since we don’t know everything, a theory believed true by the masses, may, in fact, be false when more information is made available. Being humble and open to new truth is one of the great blessings of the faithful, as we learn from our Creator.

Knowing something is false and avoiding the deceit therein helps us on our path of internalizing the truths of God. He has promised, “…whoso treasureth up my word, shall not be deceived…” (JS-Matthew 37).  And, “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” (John 7:17)  These are extremely valuable and sure promises in our path of TRUTH.  Furthermore, the Lord provides both a necessary and sufficient condition to know if the fruit is good or not, for “every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” (Matt. 7:17-18)

Using reliable data and the works of some of the brightest minds on the planet regarding organic evolution, I prove in Chapter 6 of my book, It’s About Time, that the theory of organic evolution put forth by Darwin is false.   As mentioned, this has enormous implications. The following two above theories are also false because they are based on the false premise in organic evolution.  Atheism is the fruit of these three corrupt theories: Organic, Social, and Political evolution, and the Internet increasingly propagates them with devastating effects.  Because of these false theories, the Internet and our education systems are causing the philosophy of atheism to continue to grow.

Type and Shadow

In a type and shadow fashion, I was recently impressed as I read Chapter 7 of the Book of Jacob from the Book of Mormon. How well the story of Sherem prophetically reminds me of how organic evolution, social evolution, political evolution, and the internet are being used by Satan to take us from Christ.  As Jacob profoundly said to Sherem, the anti-Christ, “If there should be no atonement made all mankind must be lost.” The Prophet Jacob lived more than 500 years before Christ and knew our Savior.

Sherem’s anti-Christ story in Chapter 7 of Jacob is reflective of exactly what is going on in the world today.  As Satan knows, it is his last hour to promote his atheistic agenda using these three false theories and any other deceitful way he can devise with the Internet as the propagation tool.  Without God, the world is trying to solve the world’s problems using science and technology, and most scientists believe the Bible to be a myth.

As we see the prideful elite trying to destroy our liberty, the battle seems to be their desire to make the state sovereign (political evolution) versus God’s plan for individual sovereignty and leading to eternal life.  The writers of our inspired Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution had this individual sovereignty in their hearts and minds. Also, because the book that influenced them more than any other for their inspiration for these documents was the Bible.

Pivotal Point

As we approach this most pivotal election in US history, let us do our best to help elect wise and righteous men and women of God, who appreciate God’s plan for individual sovereignty.  So that following the fifty-five thousand who died at Gettysburg, as President Lincoln prophetically reached out to us saying, “that these dead shall not have died in vain – that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom – and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”  The battle at Gettysburg was the “high-water mark” of the Civil War – which finally helped bring about the end of slavery and a nation where all its people could be free and giving liberty to all, as defined in America’s inspired foundation documents.

In Contrast

In contrast to Sherem and the atheists, who believe that we cannot know the future, which belief brings emptiness and fear into many hearts, we gratefully know much of the past, present, and future, because of God’s word – upon which this nation was founded.  Our faith in God gives us great hope and purpose to our lives.  As we are now seeing conspiring forces trying to destroy our liberty and encroach worldly values on all Christians.  As the prophecies tell us, we know that the pit they dig to destroy us will be the pit in which they will eventually fall.  And on the last day, they will confess with Sherem, that they were deceived by Satan, and will bow the knee in deep gratitude for the infinite atonement.

Let us continue in mighty prayer on behalf of as many as will come to know our loving Lord.  In the midst of all our imperfections, we have His Perfect Plan of Happiness.  And, now we are privileged to live in that day when we have, as He has promised, “nothing shall be withheld,…”  “He shall reveal all things…” (D&C 121:28; 101:32-34)

Both the Prophet Nephi and Joseph in Egypt prophesied that the Book of Mormon would come forth, and in that day when the Bible would be disbelieved, and the Book of Mormon and “other books” would come forth validating the Bible. (1 Ne. 13:39-41; 2 Ne. 3:11)  There is now information known so that those who desire can come to know God, which is eternal life (John 17:3) and the greatest gift from God (D&C 14:7).

Saving Our Nation Through Prayer

Prayer, as our communication opportunity with God, includes requests for heavenly intervention, as we face life’s challenges.  Based on God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, we have hope in the preservation of this county — our nation under God. It reads: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their [sinful] ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The future of our nation is in the hands of righteous, prayerful citizens, as well as millions across the globe, who have great respect for “The Land of the Free.”  God will hear their prayers.  Contrary to the belief of most politicians, they are not the ultimate solution to the world’s problems.  Electing righteous leaders is key, but God ultimately is in control.

On the 26th of September (2020) Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic Jew and author of  The Harbinger, conducted a prophetic day of national and international prayer at the Washington D.C. Mall, as the last chance to save this nation based upon God’s promise.  There was a great outpouring of God’s Spirit as thousands attended the event in person and millions joined in prayer by way of live streaming.  On that day, I focused my faith and prayers for this nation as I listened live.

President Russell M. Ballard, at the General Conference (4 Oct. 2020) reached out to the world in a powerful plea to “Watch Ye, Therefore, and Pray Always.”    President Ballard said we are at a crossroads.  In a previous blog post, in detail, I discussed:  Our Nation is at a Crossroads!

America’s Future at a Crossroads

“Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:14) This scripture prophesies a part of World War III, as the world attacks Israel, but today America is at its own “valley of decision” crossroads.  In large measure, Americans have rejected the God of this land, who is Jesus Christ, and facing the serious consequences that they will not have His protection and guiding hand. Indeed, America’s future is at the crossroads. We have enemies that would destroy us, and we critically need the hand of Providence.  We had it during the Revolutionary War – a war we should not have won.  The reason we won is summarized by George Washington, “Divine intervention!”  We need major “Divine intervention” today through massive repentance of Americans, or else!  My goal in this article is to share insights that we might receive this critically needed “Divine Intervention” and help us prepare for what is coming.  I will share my perceptions of why so many Americans have turned from God and what we can do to get them back to Him.

In spite of all the challenges the future holds, I believe we live in the most exciting time in the history of the earth.  And I know that if we will seek His divine guidance in righteousness, it is always there for us.  Glenn Beck does a great job of showing that the enemies within are much more dangerous than those without in their treasonous and atheistic ways.  America’s future crossroads is a battle between Christ and Satan.  You know who will win; let’s be informed and on the right side regardless of the choices others may make, and let’s do what we can to wake up others as well.  It is the cause of liberty, which is the cause of Christ.

Let us examine why many Americans have turned from God

There are the obvious reasons and then the not so obvious.  Satan knows it is his “last hour,” and he is doing everything he can to take us away from a Christ-centered life.  It is obvious that the secular and materialistic encroachment has contributed greatly to the moral decline in America and in the world.  The Biblical ethic upon which this nation was based has been replaced by “do your own thing.”  Sadly, the Bible is not believed by more than 90% of the leading American scientists.

There is the attitude that science and technology have the answers to life’s problems.  During the last century, both scientists and historians have adopted the false postulate that to do good science and good histories, things spiritual and God should be excluded.  In other words, God doesn’t have the answers to life’s challenges.  And moral decay has corrupted our nation, as Americans have turned from Him.

Let us examine some of the not so obvious reasons for why so many American’s have turned from God

Before we look at these reasons, let us reason together:

  1. First, the only way we can know something is true is if God tells us because He cannot lie and He is all-knowing.  The Holy Ghost bears witness of those truths God shares.  We know where there is “no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
  2. Second, the theories of men cannot be proven true. Unbeknownst to most, many theories the vast majority believe to be true are actually false, and the moral decay consequences have been enormous, as I will share!
  3. Third, there is a significant false tendency in most of us that if something agrees with an idea, theory, postulate, or hypothesis that we believe in, then we tend to think that is validation.  Data correlation or consistency does not provide validation, even if the data are valid.  It may give us confidence in the idea, theory, postulate, or hypothesis, but it does not provide proof.  For example, if someone says they love you, that may make you feel good, but if their heart is not in it, that is an empty truth.  This tendency causes many to follow false beliefs, which can have enormous consequences as well, as we will see, and explains to some degree why Americans are in this serious “valley of decision,” and facing potential destruction and loss of liberty.
  4. And Fourth, we have a very powerful tool that is not well known or appreciated that we can prove an idea, theory, hypothesis, or philosophy false if we have reliable falsification data.  This is an extremely important and useful tool in our search for truth.  Knowing something is not true avoids being deceived by that something and lets us better internalize the Lord’s truths in our lives.

SOME SERIOUS EXAMPLES OF FALSE THEORIES WITH ENORMOUS CONSEQUENCES:

In Chapter 6 of my book, It’s About Time, I share data that Darwin’s theory of evolution is false, yet it is taught in most universities and permeates our textbooks.  I have several reliable data sources and I use some of the brightest minds on the planet to help in providing this proof.  The false theory of organic evolution has led countless millions into atheism and away from the God of Creation and doubting the Bible story of Adam and Eve as our first parents.  If there is no fall of Adam and Eve, then there is no need for an atonement to overcome the effects of the fall, and thus we see that organic evolution is anti-Christ.

I have seen recent data proving the “Big Bang” theory false; I call it the “Big Bank” theory!  P. M. Robitaille Ph.D. has thus proven.  I know the scientist personally, a devout Christian.  This false theory has led cosmologists and hence much of the world down an empty path of ‘ex nihilo’ – the universe was created out of nothing – causing many to not believe in the God of creation and promoting atheism – especially among scientists.  If we told our scientist friends, who have lost faith in God, about this proof, maybe we could help them come back.

Today we have before us two very important theories for Book of Mormon Geography:

— The Heartland Model

— The Mesoamerica Model

In the following link using item four above, I share data proving the Mesoamerica Model false.  In addition, I share the Lord’s statements through His prophets that validate the Heartland Model.  America is the “Promised Land” spoken of in the Book of Mormon and it is critical that Americans repent now, or the inhabitants, who have rejected the truths of God will be “Swept Off,” (Ether 2:10-12)

Two False Doctrines that have Crept into Christianity

There are other false doctrines that have crept into Christianity, but these two false doctrines significantly dilute the beauty of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They have crept into Christianity over the centuries due to misunderstandings of the scriptures: they believe that the feelings of love between a husband and wife cannot transcend the grave – “until death do you part” is the typical belief.  And secondly, they believe that one must hear and accept the gospel in this life in order to be saved. These false doctrines contribute to people rejecting traditional Christianity, as they don’t harmonize with the feelings of the heart and the Spirit of Christ.

Our second and third presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, were both devote followers of the teachings of Christ.  They saw these serious errors in Christianity.  Thanks to the restoration through the Prophet Joseph Smith, these false doctrines were replaced with the glorious truths of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Both Adams and Jefferson anticipated this restoration in God’s mercy.

Miraculously, Adams and Jefferson died on the same day be divine design on the Fourth of July exactly fifty years after they had given us that sacred document – the Declaration of Independence – and helping to provide the momentum for giving this nation it’s liberty.  Adams’ son, John Quincy Adams  (our sixth president), said of this miracle that it was “proof” “that this country, and its benefactors, are objects of his [Divine] care.”  Daniel Webster echoed those same sentiments. (p 226 The Pilgrim Hypothesis by Timothy Ballard; read pp206-236 to get the full story).  It is not “proof,” but it is Divine evidence of His loving hand.  Ballard’s book is an amazing piece of research coming out in 2020 showing God’s sacred covenant on America, and the importance of American’s living up to that covenant.

Jefferson died a few hours before Adams and showed him the reality of the spirit world beyond death.  Furthermore, these two men and their wives as spirits appeared to Wilford Woodruff in the St. George Temple and stated that they had, “laid the foundation of the government you now enjoy…” and asked that these sacred ordinances of baptism, etc. and eternal marriage be performed for them.  Several others appeared as well. Repenting and Turning Back to Christ is the Answer.

The Savior said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)  The Savior is “the truth.”  In my life, I have learned some incredibly valuable lessons on how to know the “truth.”  He said, “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” (John 7:17)  EXPERIMENTATION: If we truly repent and live what He teaches, we will find the fruit of the tree of life to be delicious, “as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy;… which was desirable above all other fruit.” (1 Nephi 8:12, 14)

In the sermon on the mount, the Savior posited this profound truth, “Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles?  Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” (Matthew 7:16-18)  This amazing scripture provides both the necessary and sufficient conditions to know the truth.  Let us decide to partake of the fruit, which is most desirable to the soul.

In addition, our loving God gives us the Spirit of Christ (our conscience) to know good from evil when we are born. (John 1:9)  If we reject that light, then our conscience can lose its sensitivity.  “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” (1 Timothy 4:2).  The elite and the media often lie because they have no moral code to live by in defense of their atheistic views and are deceiving massive amounts of folks.

The consequences of rejecting the truth are enormous, as we find ourselves at a point of potential destruction in this foreordained land of the free.  The critical decision Americans have is will we wake up and repent and return to the God of this land, who is Jesus Christ, or will we lose our freedoms and be “swept off.” (Ether 2:10-12)

Scientific Evidence for a Loving God

We talk about the law of gravity, which goes all the way back to Newton’s theory.  In Chapter 21 of my book, I share an experiment that violates this theory and gives evidence for a fifth dimension beyond space and time where God and His angels perform their marvelous work and where they are not constrained by gravity.  The falsification of this theory opens up faith in the living and loving God.

In this same chapter, I share this experiment as one of seven experiments we did touching on God’s Unified-Field Theory (UFT), and in Chapter 22 using this UFT, I share evidence of how prayer works.  And in Chapter 5, I tell the story of how our Grand-daughter, Mary Owen (Grimm), was saved through the power of prayer after spending six days and nights alone on Mount Hood after a falling accident – a TOTALLY-documented miracle.  Now Mary and her husband Ben and three children are sharing the gospel with the people in Papua New Guinea.

These are examples of testing His promise, “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine…”  In this work with His UFT, we feel we have only touched on His marvelous TRUTHS of how the universe works, and the experience was most edifying.

I have also found 1800 phrases in our scriptures that I believe tie all the way back to the language of Adam.  When one studies their use, distribution, and significance, it provides direct evidence of God’s hand in the design of our scriptures and of the truths of the restoration of the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  It is the Lord’s fingerprint.

“Look at all the bad in the world.  Is there a good God that made this so?”

Then there are those when they see all the bad in the world, and they say, “If there is a God, why would He allow all the suffering and horrible things to happen?”  This tough question has been dealt with by many sages over the ages, and it only has its answer in the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as I explain in Chapter 2 of my book.  Looking through God’s eyes, we see the trials and challenges of life as building blocks and learning experiences instead of stumbling stones.

“God is faithful” (1 Corinthians 1:9)

We can totally trust in Him.  And when we do, we open ourselves to the truths of eternal lives.  We see God in science and religion, and how God does His marvelous work and a wonder.  If we have eyes to see and hearts to feel and obtain the witness of the Holy Ghost of His truths, we have His incredible promise that we will grow in light and truth: “He that keepeth His commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things.” (D&C 93:28)  And as we listen with the Spirit of the Holy Ghost we observe that “all things bear record of me.” (Moses 6:63) We see His love manifest everywhere, in His marvelous creations, and especially in His infinite and perfect atonement.  “Look to God and live.” (Alma 37:47)  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)  “if the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)  The future of whether America’s will be free or not depends on our choices.  Let us hearken to His voice and chose liberty ; HE IS THE WAY!.

Prepare for Destruction – Are We Listening?

The Lord’s promise is that “he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous.  Wherefore… the righteous need not fear…” (1 Nephi 22:16-17)  As we see the rapidly changing times, a lot of people are in fear, because of the many problems plaguing the world.

We see these problems as “signs of the times” as we approach the glorious coming of our Lord and Savior.  Further more, the Lord reminds us,  “If ye are prepared, you shall not fear.” It would behoove us to read D&C: Section 38 and reflect on the blessings that can be ours. These blessings are in vain if we don’t “repent”. We are at a time that it is important for each of us to take stock of our personal lives and see where we need to adjust our behavior and thinking and “Repent”.

International Day Of Prayer

I recently wrote a blog article, “What Will it Take to Save America?”   Jonathan Cahn is having a national and international day of prayer based on the scripture in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  He believes that if America falls, the world will fall.  I suggest we all join in prayer for this “Land of the free” that she may fulfill her destiny.

The Firm Foundation EXPO

Last Friday (28 August 2020) I recorded my lecture for the Firm Foundation EXPO, which will be shared at the coming VIRTUAL EXPO on Sept. 25, 2020, on my 84th birthday.  It is entitled, “How to Prepare [for the days ahead].”  We have great reason to hope as we lean on the Lord and His promises.

In great contrast, we have George Soros now saying, “I consider the Trump administration a danger to the world that will disappear in 2020.”  Soros, Bill Gates, and the like are planning a summit meeting in January 2021 in Davos, Switzerland, to “reset” the world.  The COVID pandemic is providing that opportunity in their minds. Listen to the to 25 minute “Remnant TV” discourse from the Editor’s Desk (Michael J. Matt) offices of the Remnant Newspaper and TV.

Living in Exciting Times

The message of my EXPO discourse is that we live in the most exciting time in the history of the earth, and I share the signs of the times the Lord has given, and where we are in His TIME-TABLE.  If we will repent, and turn to the God of this “Land of Promise,” who is Jesus Christ, then the “destruction” prophesied can be avoided.  Even if many don’t repent, the Lord has a plan and He will gather the righteous as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. With Him, we have every hope.  Without Him we can do effectively nothing (John 15:5).  It is not the political process that will save us nor will science and technology solve our problems.  It is Christ, as we turn to Him.  He has the answer to every problem.

An interesting analysis of the political process may be found in Victor Davis Hanson’s book.  His analysis from a California perspective is most enlightening.  Peter Robinson with “Uncommon Knowledge” and the Hoover Institute at Stanford interviews Hanson.  Hanson is an “American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer.” Although his insights are profound, he misses the main message of the need for massive repentance.

Book of Mormon Type and Shadow

We see that the Lord lovingly brought forth the Book of Mormon to both validate the Bible as God’s word, but also given us “type and shadow” fundamental messages to help us prepare for the Lord’s glorious Second Coming.  This is the essence of the lecture I have prepared that will be shared with the world on the 25th of September.  We are so blessed to have the words of the prophets, and more and more are coming forth just as described in Ether Chapter eleven, which is, indeed, type and shadow for our day.  Are we heeding their incredibly important warnings?  Are we listening to the voice of the Son of God?  If we are not, we will be “cut off” at His coming. (Ether 2:10-11)  If we hearken to His voice, glorious things are in store – beyond our fondest imaginations.  Look to God and live (Alma 37:47) the abundant life He promises (John 10:10).

Truth Is Light

Christ said, ”I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Each of us has a unique mission that is revealed to our hearts and minds, as we follow the light of Christ.  The truths of God will be opened in personal revelation, and in addition those who share and those who receive the truths of God “are edified and rejoice together.” (D&C 50:22).

That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light and that light growth brighter and brighter until the perfect day. (D&C 50:24)

We also grow in gratitude as we contemplate the infinite goodness of the giver of that LIGHT.

Truth Is Light 

(John 8:12)  “TRUTH IS LIGHT” is engraved in the keystone of the arch at the entry of our home. When we were building our solar home (without a furnace) in ’92-’93, our brick mason asked if I would like the granite keystone from from the Salt Lake Temple.  He had been involved with some refurbishing of the temple and had some extra pieces. I humorously responded, “Is this a midnight acquisition?” Finding that it was a legit offer, we accepted this precious gift. As you can imagine, both the scripture and the stone are special to us and symbolize our focus on God’s TRUTHS. (D&C 84:45)

Truth Forsakes the Evil one

The opposite is also true; following the spirit of darkness leads to heaviness of heart, fear, envy, hate, lust, and an ungrateful heart.  While “Light and truth forsake the evil one.” (D&C 93:37)

The Establishment of Zion

Thesis: Zion is established one person at a time. However, Zion is a group of persons, persons who have all traveled the same strait and narrow covenant path to having become like unto Christ Himself. The Holy Temple Ordinances are the engine for establishing Zion.

1. Personal Revelation

The absolute fundamental to become a Zion person is to know by the Holy Spirit that God lives and Jesus Christ is the Savior of all the inhabitants of this world. In other words, the beginning of becoming like Christ is to be personally founded on the rock of revelation. A person founded on that rock not only has had revelation but lives by it daily, thus being enabled to do the works of righteousness.

2. Baptism and Confirmation

The works of righteousness are ministering to one’s neighbors as Christ would if He were here. The ordinances necessary for gaining this foundation are baptism and confirmation.

What Will It Take To Save America?

What will it take to save America? If this nation goes down, there also goes liberty for the world.

Jonathan Cahn, wrote The Harbinger, a book about 9/11, which opened up to the world the great significance of many last day prophecies being fulfilled right before our eyes.  We presently are on the brink of disaster.

What Can Be Done?

Cahn, and other spiritual leaders have called, all who will, to turn to prayer for the greatest nation in history. There will be ten days of prayer and repentance that coincide with the Biblical Feast of Trumpet and ending with the Day of Atonement (September 18th to September 28th.)

The Return

The Return is a  joint national and global day of prayer and repentance that will be held on Saturday, the 26th of September 2020. They are asking as many as can to gather on the Washington D.C. Mall for this day of prayer – believing this is our last opportunity for this nation to receive the promise in the scriptures.  Those who can’t make it there can, of course, have their own day of prayer wherever they are.  The goal is to invoke the Lord’s blessing, if we do our part, which America critically needs:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14

Behold – I Will Make A New Covenant

We live in that exciting time when the Lord is bringing to full fruition His “new covenant” with those who will repent and come unto Him – with the promise that “I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jeremiah 31:31-24)  And will be the recipients of Eternal Life – the greatest of all the gifts of God.

The Great Gathering

As part of the great gathering from the four corners of the earth, the Lord is preparing the hearts of all who will to be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom – the “Pure in heart” ZION society.  As Hugh Nibley so aptly said, we cannot have one toe in Babylon and still be part of ZION.  A beautiful example of how the “pure in the heart” are being gathered is in the conversion of Afshin Javid.  He reports that about a thousand Iranians per week are coming to know the Lord in one way or another.  Are there similar stories in other countries in the quiet workings of the Lord?

In the total fairness of the Lord, He has promised that His gospel will go to everyone (Matt. 24:14; D&C 90:11) before the end [of wickedness, the end of worldliness] comes, and we move into His glorious millennial reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Our Mission Experience

When we served our mission in West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire) in 1997-99, there was one mission and one stake.  Now there are 14 stakes and three missions and a temple planned.  There is much to be done for the gospel to go to all people, but the Lord has big plans – including sending out 144,000 and no missionary training centers will be needed as they will have the gift of tongues.

A Message of Gladness

As the librettist, Charles Jennens gave the scriptural texts to George Frederick Handel for the composition of his world-famous “Messiah,” I gave scriptures to our oldest son, Sterling, who is a composer, and asked him if he would prepare a special number for our missionary farewell.  It came together in an inspiring way similar as it did for Handel.  Family and friends came together from five states to help us build our home in Fountain Green and to send us off on our mission.  It is a millennial text and inspired music, and I felt to share it in conjunction with this blog article:

A Message of Gladness

Righteousness will I send down from heaven|
Truth will I send forth out of the Earth;
To bear testimony of mine Only Begotten.

In my name shall they do many wonderful works;

Our farewell was recorded, and our talks, including Wayne Winters, inspired musical selection, and the choir, I have placed on Google drive.  Our conducting friend, Al Stumpy, led the choir and Sterling was the piano accompanist.  We had a 35 voice choir – certainly not professional – but you can feel the spirit of the message.  Our grand-daughters, Jessika, Rachel, and Mary Owen, sang the Isaiah 12 section.  We listened to “The Message of Gladness” many times while we were on our mission, and it always lifted our hearts as we were doing the Lord’s work in bringing souls to Him; we had great success there.

Christ the Mediator of the New Covenant

The Apostle Paul explains the “new covenant” (Heb. 8:8, 13; 12:24), and it is good to read Hebrews chapters 8-13 to appreciate what Christ has offered in this new covenant.  As Jeremiah explains, the old covenant that He “Made with their fathers in the day that [He] took them… out of… Egypt, which covenant they brake…” (Jer. 31:32)

Christ as the great mediator brought about the infinite atonement, as an unparalleled manifestation of His love and Father’s love (John 3:16) for all of His children – extending mercy to all to partake of the new covenant.

This “new covenant” He is in the processing of renewing in a “marvelous work and a wonder” with the “house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:” (Jer. 31:31; Isa. 29:14 ; 3 Nephi 21:9). and it is happening in our day and time!

FIRST shall be LAST and the LAST shall be FIRST

In the scriptures, the Lord divides His children into two groups – Israel or Jews and Gentiles.  The first were given covenants to live and share the gospel.  As explained in the last blog article, Israel or the Jews were the FIRST, and the GENTILES were the last.  We are in that day in the grand chiasmus where the FIRST is becoming the LAST in the great gathering and as this “new covenant” is renewed and brought to full fruition.

As Paul taught: 1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

And as Nephi shares: 2 Nephi 33:8 I have charity for the Jew – I say, Jew, because I mean them from whence I came.  9 I also have charity for the Gentiles.  But behold, for none of these can I hope except they shall be reconciled unto Christ, and enter into the narrow gate, and walk in the strait path which leads to life, and continue in the path until the end of the day of probation.

The Savior gives a clear sign when these things shall be: “For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and marvelous work among them…” (3 Nephi 21:9; I suggest you read the whole chapter to learn of the many exciting things that are about to transpire; chapters 20, 22, and 23 of  Third Nephi are replete as well.)  Here the Savior does a glorious Hebrew Midrash explaining several scriptures from the Bible incredibly relevant inthe end-time scenario.

In this regard, Avraham Gileadi, who is the world’s best scholar on the Book of Isaiah, gives a dynamic perspective:

As biblical history shows, even when his people in general apostatize and Jehovah hides his face or presence from them, certain ‘disciples’ remain loyal, as did the disciples or ‘sons of the prophets’ anciently (2 Kings 2:3–7; 4:38; 6:1). At such times, Jehovah withdraws the testimony of his truth and the law of his covenant from among his people and preserves them among those individuals willing to live by them. The singular pronouns ‘I will wait’ and ‘I will expect’ highlight the idea that only loyal individuals endure through his people’s dark phase and thus experience his deliverance (Isaiah 8:16—18, 25:9; 30:18; 33:2). —From Apocalyptic Commentary of the Book of Isaiah by Avraham Gileadi Ph.D.

Enemies ‘ Undoing.

The enemies of God’s people won’t know what hit them when God overturns their ultimate goal to eliminate his people from the earth. When they reach the point that their hatred of the truth so obsesses them that they set out to destroy his people who espouse it, that is the point when God intervenes in their behalf and it is their enemies themselves who are eliminated. And as God acts solely within the parameters of the covenants he makes with his people, individuals, it is according to the protection clause of his covenants that he turns the tables on their enemies.

…Because all covenants God makes have both blessings and curses attached, on the other hand, when his people transgress his commandments the curses go into effect and they suffer their ill effects.

…Hence the importance of maintaining individual loyalty to God under the weight of increasing evils and opposition even from within our own ranks should that be the case. Knowing that the outcome of persevering with God will be the blessing of his protection and the demise of his enemies, we can decide beforehand to remain faithful to him and with his help to rise above the evil. In an endtime context, God lets evil runs its course so he can empower us over it as we center our lives in Christ. The terms of the Davidic Covenant provide his assurance to us of his divine protection.

As the Apostle, Paul proclaims let “Christ be formed in you” (Gal. 4:19) and be part of the Bride to meet the Bridegroom.  As explained in the previous blog article,  the Kingdom of the Devil has tons of enticements.  We Know with certainty that the Lord is coming, and He will bring into full fruition the renewal of this exciting “new covenant” He has made with the faithful.  Let us get totally out of Babylon, which will fall, and not be any part of it.  The greatest opportunity of our existence is to ONE with Him who knows the end from the beginning and prepare ourselves for this glorious ZION and ideal society.  IT IS COMING!

Kingdom of Christ and Kingdom of the Devil — the Differences

We live in one of the most exciting times in the history of this earth. How blessed we are to live now, and we were each chosen to be here at this time, playing a role.  Indeed, we are at a significant crossroads.  The future will be very different as we will see even more monumental events unfold.

We now orbit the sun every sidereal year in an elliptical orbit coming closest to the sun in January. At a spin axis tilted 23 ½ degrees, the heavens give us our Divine designed seasons for this mortal sphere and provide heating and cooling for all life.  In the future the continents will become one continent again, as part of the “restitution of all things” spoken of by the Apostle Peter (Acts 3:19-21). Our earth will no longer be in our solar system, and we will have a new heaven and a new earth.  Christ will be our light,  instead of the sun.

The First Shall be Last and the Last Shall be First

This grand chiasmus the Savior shared in Matthew 19:30 and 20:16 is explained in detail in an article on AllansTIME.com web site entitled, “Who is Israel.”  In summary the FIRST is Israel, and the LAST is the Gentiles.  Jesus taught that the kingdom of God would be taken from the House of Israel “and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”  In other words, the FIRST (Israel) had rejected the Christ, and the New Testament tells the story of how it was given to the LAST (the Gentiles).

Then the Gentiles rejected the fullness of the gospel as the world moved into the dark ages, and so the Lord restored the fullness of the Gospel, as the LAST became the FIRST, as  the United States — considered a gentile nation and a promised land — was the recipient of this great blessing in 1830, a blessed land where the fullness of the gospel was restored.  Joseph Smith taught that America is identified with the gentiles. (D&C 109:60)

Characteristics of the Gentile Era

As latter-day revelation makes clear, “the times” of the Gentiles refers to the time when the fullness of the gospel will come among them (D&C 45:24-28).

  1. Revolutionary War and Civil War stops slavery in America.
  2. Land of Liberty brought forth by the Lord with inspired founding documents.
  3. Established a Bible-based ethnic culture in America.
  4. Joseph Smith sees the Father and the Son in Grand Epiphany in 1820 to begin the process of restoration.
  5. The gospel’s fullness restored with Holy Scriptures that support the Bible: The Book of Mormon, Doctrine, and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
  6. Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods restored along with gospel ordinances and the same covenant organization as Christ’s Church in the meridian of time.
  7. Ancient prophets restore keys for turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the children to their fathers and the preparation for the “restitution of all things,” spoken of by the Apostle Peter. (Acts 3:19-21)  The gathering of Israel from the “four-corners” of the earth is in full motion.

Along with the blessings of the Gentile Era, there comes a warning:

When the resurrected Jesus came among the Book of Mormon people here in America, He prophesied, “when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel… ” then He lists their sins, which now describes America turning their back on the Lord, then He states, “I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.”  We are at that day when the FIRST is becoming the LAST as the gospel goes to scattered Israel gathering them from the four-corners of the earth.

But then in His infinite mercy he promises, “if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.” (3 Nephi 16:13)  Only righteous individuals will be able to enjoy the Israel era.

Characteristics of Israel era:

  1. Righteous put on the “whole armor” to protect from the sins of Babylonian encroachment. (Eph. 6:11-18; D&C 27:15-18)
  2. Re-enthrone Liberty and the founding documents’ values in preparation for the ideal (pure in heart) Zion society.
  3. Establish a Zion society based on the pure love of Christ — Bride to meet the Bridegroom.
  4. Jeremiah (31:31-34) comes into fulfillment: we will all know Him (Second Comforter).
  5. New scriptures brought forth: Brass Plates; sealed portion (Isa. 29:11); records from the gathered Tribes of Israel.
  6. Cleansed and purified Church with priesthood practiced as anciently by Enoch.
  7. The full purpose of the temple appreciated; enjoy His Presence and angelic communication, and the Lord’s promise in D&C 93:1.

We Are At A Crossroads – What Will You Choose?

Differences to know between the Devil versus Jesus

Currently Satan’s Major Distractions and Destructive Tactics:

  • promoting socialism and communism
  • Satan seeking “sole management of the government.” ( Hel. 6:39)
  • COVID-19 get everyone vaccinated and the “green” movement
  • “Black lives matter” to humiliate and destroy
  • 5G Communication system; a silent and slow killer.
  • New World Order led by the Elites — the “deep state.”
  • The state, not the individual, is sovereign.
  • There are too many people (depopulation strategies).
  • Technocracy to control and monitor everyone: “Mark of the Beast.”

Christ’s Total Victory in Progress:

The scriptures are replete with the signs of His coming; too many to enumerate here.  We live in the “great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Great for the righteous and dreadful for the wicked.  We live during that great day when the LAST is gathering the FIRST,  the great gathering of Israel.  Another definition for Israel is all those who put their trust in the Lord and treasure up his word with the promise that they “shall not be deceived.” (JS-M 37)  When we come unto Him, we take upon us the name of Jesus Christ, we become a part of His covenant family.  We learn in the temple that Israel is another name for Christ.  The House of Israel is the House of Christ — cleansed and purified by His infinite atonement.

We have His promise that wherever we are, He will gather us “as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings.”  “Listen to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Redeemer, the Great I Am, whose arm of mercy hath atoned for your sins; Who will gather his people even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, even as many as will hearken to my voice and humble themselves before me, and call upon me in mighty prayer.”

We know Jesus Christ’s second coming is imminent.  The signs in the heavens are increasing, and encouraging those with “eyes to see and ears to hear” to help build and gather ideal Zion societies. These are “the end times” because moral wickedness will end and righteousness will rule in the hearts of men, with Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our connection to Jesus Christ will bind the Devil, and the Lord will destroy Babylon, the Devil’s kingdom on earth. The Lord will restore the earth to her paradisiacal glory.

Some favorite scriptures telling of the end-times are Matt. 24; JS-Matthew; The Book of Daniel and specifically 2:44-45; Acts 3:19-23; Eph. 1:10; Rev. 14:7; the Book of Revelations; 1 Nephi 13:37; chapter 22; 2 Nephi 2:25-27; Mosiah 3:19-20; 3 Nephi chapters 20-23; Mormon chapters 8-9; Ether 13:1-10; Moroni 7 and 10; D&C sections 133, 88 and 45.

We live in that day when “nothing shall be withheld.” (D&C 121:28)  There are 1800 phrases in our scriptures that can be shown to tie back to the language of Adam.  If the scriptures are false, then these phrases could not be there as they are.  How they are is humanly impossible.  Since they are there as they are, the scriptures are true and we have God’s fingerprint in them. QED

I show that the Adamic phrase “And it shall come to pass” occurs more than 200 times in our scriptures and ties to the name of JEHOVAH and events around the restoration of the gospel in America for the world and events leading up to the Second Coming.

For further guidance, listen to the following from Elder David Bednar, an Apostle of the Lord.  President Benson’s: Wake Up Call is a clear clarion statement of the problem.  The Prophet Moroni, some 400 years AD, saw clearly our day and warned us “to awake.”  Read specifically his call to repentance in Ether 8:23-26

If you know of someone who has lost faith, Joseph in Egypt and the Prophet Nephi both prophesied that the Book of Mormon would come forth validating the Bible and build up faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray that we will all choose the Kingdom of Christ and His promised glorious, joyful blessings beyond our comprehension.
