Learning to trust in the Lord, and not “the arm of flesh,” is fundamental to our mortal journey. I have been studying this phase for decades because of its importance. In the early morning hours of 25 January 2019, the Lord gave me a new discovery on how it harmonizes the King James Version of the Bible (KJV) and is an inspiring example of the divinity of this great book.
King James Bible Message
There are exactly 1189 chapters in the KJV – which number aligns perfectly with Psalms 118:9, which is the main message of the KJV, “Trust in the Lord.” Then the Lord also puts this phrase, “Trust in the Lord,” back-to-back in the previous verse, Psalms 118:8. Then I was additionally shown that by Divine design the center chapter of the entire KJV is Psalms 117:1-2, and that there are 594 chapters before this chapter and 594 after, and 594 + 594 = 1188, which aligns perfectly with Psalms 118:8. So uniquely, the main message of the KJV, “Trust in the Lord” is highlighted by the Lord in both the total number of chapters and as well by the center chapter. How special is that? What does Psalms 117 say?
“O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.”
Here we see a third highlight from the Lord as Psalms 117 focuses on the atonement: The “merciful kindness” to “all ye nations” ties us to the Lord’s infinite atonement. Then we see a fourth highlight when we notice that Psalms 117 is the shortest chapter in the KJV – along with it being the center of all the chapters, while thirdly focusing on the infinite atonement.
Then fourthly, behold this shortest chapter combines with the longest chapter, Psalms 119, to surround Psalms 118 with these two verses containing the main and center message of the KJV. Furthermore, and fifthly, Psalms 119 is also unique in that it has eight verses for each of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet — 176 verses, so it’s like six or seven pages long after this center message, and, sixthly, in addition in the Hebrew Bible each of the eight verses starts sequentially, with the letters in the Hebrew alphabet: alef with the first eight verses, bet with the next eight versus, etc.
Trust in the Lord
As we think about it further, seventhly, “Trust in the Lord” is not only in these two twin verses (Psalms 118:8-9), but is throughout all of our scriptures in a fundamental way. While Psalms 117 ties to His grace and mercy, which covers our sins when we come unto Him and repent, “Trust in the Lord” covers His perfect divine justice and mercy, as he totally overcame the Fall of Adam and Eve in that all are resurrected. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:22) His GLORIOUS RESURRECTION is the seventh step of His infinite atonement –– that brings us back into the presence of the Lord to be perfectly judged.
If we have chosen to follow Him and receive of His mercy and grace, then we have eternal life (John 17:3) – the greatest of all the gifts of God. (D&C 14:7) Otherwise, we lose that most important of all opportunities, as we follow instead the appetites of the flesh. “Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy,” if they will but follow Him. Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 2: 25-29; Mosiah 3:19),
We see that the translators and the people who carried the KJV forward had God’s hand in their lives. It is hard to believe this all could have been without Divine design. So, there it is. The Lord has highlighted the main message and the center message in the center of His book – all tying to the infinite atonement of Christ. And the two “trust in the Lord” verses being back-to-back give both the number of chapters in the KJB and at the same time point to the center chapter, Psalms 117 with a most apropos message as well.
Two Perfect Messages
So, these two messages all converge perfectly and symmetrically in that great book to bring us to Christ, and yet all of this is in the Old Testament. It is no wonder why the Bible has influenced more people for good than any other in the world. I believe God’s infinitely loving ways have highlighted these messages for those who have eyes to see and hearts to feel of His infinite love for each of us. I thank Him for showing me this discovery that I may share it with you. Indeed, let us trust in Him.
Ye Shall Be Lifted Up
Not surprisingly, this most important message “Trust in the Lord” is referenced throughout the scriptures and often tied to the phrase, “ye shall be lifted up at the last day,” (See for example Psalms 28:7-9; Pro. 3:5-6; John 6:39-40; 1 Thess. 4:17; 1 Ne. 13:37; 16:2; Alma 26:7; 36:28; 38:5; 3 Ne. 15:1; 27:14, 15, 22; Morm. 2:19; Ether 4:19; D&C 5:35; 9:14; 17:8; 88:96; 101:31; and 109;75). Jesus, who is “the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by [Him],” (John 14:6) is the One who lifts us up. “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (John 12:32, and see 3 Nephi 27:13-22 for many more details)
It is wonderful to know that we can totally trust in Him, and that the path to eternal life is open to all who will come unto Him. I desire that the world know of my witness. I believe the Lord has given me the chance through the IEEE ORAL HISTORY that was recorded 5-6 November 2018, so that I may have the opportunity to share my conviction and to help others know of God’s love.
I claim no more brilliance than anyone else but am glad He has chosen to use me to share His WORD. For those wanting more information, there are FREE articles you can download at these two links: http://itsabouttimebook.com/article-index/ – http://itsabouttimebook.com/more-commentary/ and that will give you information to build your own faith as well as to share with others, if you wish to do so. I share them with my love for you and gratitude in my heart for the privilege to do so.
In addition to the above, I have found 1,800 phrases in our scriptures that appear to tie back to the language of Adam. These phrases further validate the authenticity of the KJV of the Bible. The newer English translations miss out.
I am pleased that LDS Living has shared some of this exciting information from my book, and you will notice it is available in audio as well.
